  1. As soon as I saw the words "low information" I knew I could ignore this post. Thanks for putting it in the topic line!
  2. If Marrone had gone for it and the Bills turned the ball over people would be crucifying him. Damned if you do, damned if you don't
  3. Maybe we can go sign Da'Rick from the Dolphins practice squad! Next man up.....I say Easley!
  4. I was thinking this after the first couple of carries. CJ looked like he was jogging, he looked almost tentative.
  5. Dude, you never go full retard!
  6. You don't know what you're looking at and you have no idea what you're talking about. You should have your posting rights revoked.
  7. No we're not, that quote is wrong and with Eric Woods new contract it's less than half of that.
  8. I do too John but not at $9.5 per or whatever he was asking for. Especially now knowing that he's got issues with his feet. Too many question marks to not give him a one year franchise tag tryout.
  9. I was listening to WGR earlier today and Joe B had a significant point about the whole Jarius Byrd situation that I think merits further discussion. Joe said (paraphrasing) that back in March the Bills hadsome question about how well Byrd fits in the new defensive scheme that Pettine has implemented. The second question was if the Bills would want to pay top dollar for a safety that might not be a perfect fit? Now lets be clear, no one is saying that Byrd isn't a great, ball hawking safety. The reality is though that the prior Bills defenses are very different from what we'll likely see on the field this Sunday. Byrd won't be able to sit back in a cover 2 scheme, read the QB's eyes and grap the pick. Safeties in Pettine's system are much more physical and aggressive. Pettine is also going to employ schemes where he'll have three safeties on the field at times. Jarius has never been a great "in the box" type of safety and he's not a jarring hitter. The Bills wonder, and rightly so, what his production will look like in this new system hence their reluctance to go out and spend top dollar. Not saying it's the right position for the Bills to take but I can totally understand their line of thinking.
  10. If Byrd and Parker believe he's the best safety in the NFL then the Bills should tell Parker to go find them a team that's willing to give them a 1st and a 3rd and they'll sign the trade agreement immediately. Certainly the best safety in the league is worth that right?
  11. It's almost as if he's "invisible". Yeah....I said it!

  13. You might want to look at his tackle numbers when he was with the Ravens & Jets. He played VERY WELL Ryan/Pettine's system.
  14. Inexperience is only a problem if the players are making mistakes. If you have young, inexperienced players that are more talented than your opponent it comes down to who makes the mistakes. I see this as being a very up and down season. An emotional roller coaster if you will. I'd expect them to win some games that we didn't think they would and lose others that they shouldn't. My biggest concern with the younger guys is that the NFL season is a LOT longer than the college season and it's common for first year players to get worn down late in the season.
  15. Good to see the roller coaster is in full swing today. Burton isn't being brought in to be a full time starter for the Bills, he's a stop gap/developmental players who is s perfect fit for Pettine's system. Pettine's defense is all about distruption and one thing Burton does well is press coverage. Sometimes a change of scenery makes a huge difference for a player. Any of you riders remember Jim Leonard?
  16. Um, Legursky is a guard???
  17. I can't remember the last time anyone in the local media broke a story about anything to do with the Bills. I'm not sure why none of the local guys who cover the team ever get a scoop but something clearly is odd that even the news on Gilmore's injury was broken by a national reporter.
  18. I have no idea how it got changed to QB but it's supposed to be CB!
  19. This is one of the reasons I'm really pulling for a zombie apocalypse. I would LOVE, I mean LOVE to see the Kardashians, Miley Cyrus, Lindsay Lohan, the cast of the Jersey Shore, Paris Hilton and pretty much every reality "star" ever being viciously devoured by a pack of blood crazed, brain eating zombies. I think the show "Survivor" started this nonsense. In a way, the name was very apropos, we'll all be luck to survive the stupidity.
  20. I believe Whaley is waiting for the cuts on the 31st and will overpay to get the best veteran CB available. Good news is, we're a bajillion dollars under the cap so they can add a semi-solid veteran CB and add some depth at the same time.
  21. Damn, the average IQ of this place has dropped substantially in the last year or so. Apparently nuance isn't something easily understood. No one is comparing Brady to Gilmore, the point was, the loss of a single player does not make or break a season. Gilmore will be back in 4 weeks and EJ will be the starter, the team still isn't winning the SB. I'd be thrilled if they were 8-8 this year.
  22. I promise you, if Leinart goes out on Thursday night and lights up the grocery squad there will be people calling for his to start. Buckle your seatbelts, the rollercoaster is almost at the top!
  23. The amount of hysteria on these forums is simply astounding. Yeah it's a depressing day but it really could be worse. Yes, losing Gilmore hurts but he WILL be back this season. We're still uncertain on the status of EJ but we're a LONG way from proclaiming the season being over. I'd like to remind everyone that several years ago the Patriots lost Tom Brady and still managed to go 11-5. Every team has injuries, what's important is how they respond. With that said, final cuts aren't until the 31st. There will undoubtedly be a veteran CB cut. Every year there are a dozen players cut and everyone goes "OMG "insert name" got cut". So we may lose the opener, hell we may get pounded but that's still only one game. The NFL is about quarters. Take the season in 4 game chunks and lets see where we are.
  24. I disagree, there were a couple of passes that Grossman threw that were terrible as a result of the pressure. Unfortunately Brooks dropped one and Gilmore dropped the other. There were also a couple of pop-fly hail mary's that Grossman threw up that should have been intercepted or at least knocked down. Byrd can't get back soon enough because Searcy is terrible in coverage.
  25. I'm watching the game tonight and I hope Nate Hackett is as well. The Patriot LB's can't cover worth a ****, especially when players are coming out of the backfield. Mayo and Ninko are solid against the run but there's no way they can run with CJ, TJ or Marquis.
