I saw the same thing and I'm still waiting for someone/anyone to explain it to me. It almost appears that Williams and Smith were pulling and going in OPPOSITE FUGGIN DIRECTIONS!!!!

It's very trying being a Bills fan
Mike in Syracuse replied to Thailog80's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's hard because you care. I know, I'm right there with you. I must check this stinkin board two dozen time a day year round. Always searching for info, always hoping that the next free agent or draft pick will put us over the top. You wait all off season following every move, you froth at the thought of camp starting and the season gets here and four weeks in we been evicerated four times. It hurts cause we care! -
Let's get one thing straight
Mike in Syracuse replied to JStranger76's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
A smidgen of pass rush would sure help him out a lot. Unfortunately all we have is a couple of "high motor" guys who think that the quickest way to get to the QB is to start with a 45 yard loop. Pfffft. -
Since we are all so fricken miserable perhaps we should meet in the chat room a 4:00pm for some group therapy?

Everyone says Drew played well yesterday
Mike in Syracuse replied to John from Riverside's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree with you John. While Drew still has skills he ts too easily defensible. There is not an opposing defense in the NFL that is afraid of him. I don't think it really matters how he plays from here on out, as soon as Losman is healthy I say put him in and let him learn. This season is OVER, we need to face it and start working on next year. -
It's gonna get to a point where name players
Mike in Syracuse replied to stevestojan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Fletcher was the best player on the field yesterday. Christ he ran down Santana Moss from behind!! I wonder if he's ever taken any snaps at RB? -
It's a good thing they fired Williams
Mike in Syracuse replied to Mike in Syracuse's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What makes you so sure? -
The mental toughness of this team is.....uh.....underwhelming? We've fallen so far that four games into the season and we're thinking about the offseason. We're advocating the firing of the GM, head coach and offensive coordinator. We've plummeted to the depths of wondering if Gilbride was really the problem. We truly are BILLSFANONE!

Ralph will fire Donahoe before end of season
Mike in Syracuse replied to seq004's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Maybe TD won't be fired but perhaps he could be demoted. Promote Modrak and demote TD -
I would like to hear from Donahoe
Mike in Syracuse replied to Frez's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He'd probably tell you to "save the postage". What a dissappointment this guy is turning into. His vision is clearly clouded. -
I was watching the game yesterday and a few random thoughts came to mind that I'd like to present to TSW's resident jury. 1. First I'd like to apologize for conducting open heart surgery in the chat room yesterday. I know is was graphic and disturbing but then again, so is Bills football. 2. If you want to make the OL better instantly, then move MW to LG. He clearly doesn't have the footspeed to play RT and we wouldn't lose anything by putting Price in at RT. At this point we are not able to open any holes in the middle and it's absolutely killing our running game. 3. Travis Henry makes too many mistakes to be a starting caliber RB. At this point of his career he is still missing assignments and picking the wrong holes. A starting RB in the NFL should be able to make something out of nothing once or twice a game. Travis is a warrior but he is not elusive and it's been a long time since he's run over anyone. I'm reluctant to even mention the pass that hit him in the face yesterday. 4. The first 10 pages of the Mularkey/Clements playbook need to be shredded. This is NOT a power football team and is NOT capable of playing "smash-mouth" football. With the speed our WR and TE's we should be sending guys all over the field. Willis should be the starting back and we should be three wide on almost every play. If we can't play power football, which 0-4 proves we can't, then we HAVE to change. 5. Can someone please explain to me why in a max protect blocking scheme you'd have your LG PULL????? I watched the play 3 times and I still can't figure out wtf Smith was thinking? 6. The season is not over yet but if there isn't a substantial change in the offensive gameplan then you can stick a fork in this team. 7. TD is in serious trouble. When Ralph starts bitching, GM's get fired.

I Think A Sacrifice Is In Order
Mike in Syracuse replied to Rico's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Oh, I was going to suggest that we kill T-Bone in endzone at RWS? I guess that's not what you meant. -
Sounds like Ralph is pissed also
Mike in Syracuse replied to Thailog80's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I find this quote from Ralph very interesting: "I was hoping we'd come down here and really open it up," Wilson said. "I've had enough of this smash-mouth football. Hey, where we are is 0-3. If Drew throws an interception and it's run back for a touchdown, OK. Then we're 0-4. But I don't like to go 0-4 the way we did." I know there was a lot of talk in the preseason about the Bills playing "smash-mouth" football but that hasn't exactly happened. Unless I'm nissing something, haven't all of our TD's come through the air? Not exactly "smash-mouth" is it? It's never a good thing when Ralphy starts making comments, usually someone gets fired! -
What changes would you make at this point?
Mike in Syracuse replied to Frez's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm not so sure PW is "good". When was the last time you saw him make a tackle or blow up a play. Good DT's distrupt the other teams offensive line, Pat is just another guy they have to block. With that said, what the hell got into Sam Adams yesterday? He was all over the field. -
nice to see a 3rd and 1 converted

Willis did look a little faster to me today. -
I asked Lawyer when he's coming back.....
Mike in Syracuse replied to Tom's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So Kevin Mawae can have his right hand wrapped like a freaking bowling bowl and THEN snap left handed but Lawyer can't go with a broken wrist??? I say wrap that son of a biotch like a telephone pole and ask him to play. -
Don't be so negative I think I may be part of the problem. Ever since I got this HDTV the Bills have looked AWFUL

GEE, I COULDN'T HAVE PREDICTED THAT ENDING.
Mike in Syracuse replied to jester43's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The apocolypse is now upon us. I completely agree with you!!! TD was given carte blanche to do whatever he wanted to make this team a winner. He as failed miserably. If I were Ralph Wilson I'd fire TD tomorrow and promote Modrak. Then I'd call a team meeting and let everyone know that the era of losing was over. -
October 10th and Football season is over
Mike in Syracuse replied to Thailog80's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Keep it up and I'll call the "dish" guys! At least that way I could watch good football. -

Hey, don't pick on Kelly he just stepped up and decided to confront reality. If this season isn't an abysmal failure, what do you call 0-4? -

Our holidays won't be interrupted with playoff football. -
Really, what exactly did we win? I seem to remember some playoff appearances but I must have forgetten all the superbowls we won under Butler. Are Holocek and Jay Riemersma still playing?? How bout that gem, Eric Flowers or what about Friggin Lonnie? Look at this gem of a draft he had in 2000: College Pos 1 26 26 Erik Flowers Arizona State DE 2 27 58 Travares Tillman Georgia Tech DB 3 27 89 Corey Moore Virginia Tech LB 4 27 121 Avion Black Tennessee State WR 5 27 156 Sammy Morris Texas Tech RB 6 28 194 Leif Larsen Texas-El Paso DE 7 27 233 Drew Haddad You have to be very careful with your interpretation with history. If I wanted to root for a team that almost gets it done every year I'd be a Dolphins fan.

You Don't Need a Gun
Mike in Syracuse replied to Alaska Darin's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I'm not sure I understand what you mean, could you please elaborate. As for the "swift capital punishment" statement. It would in fact work as a deterrent but only under one condition it has to be CERTIAN. As long as dirtbags believe they won't be caught, they'll continue to commit these acts. If you knew for a fact that robbing a liquor store and killing the owner gets you caught and executed in 3 days would you still rob the store. Probably not. It's all about the swift and certian.
