I understand the line of thinking. TE is really thin on the roster.
The thing that stood out to me about when looking at Morris is, while he shows terrific hands, he had trouble separating from defenders.
If a guy can't separate at Division I-A level (MAC) how will he separate at the NFL level? And we know the GM and coaches like to get guys who can separate.
In general I think it's easier for a UFA to make an NFL roster on defense, than offense.
Should be fun watching the young guys.
Any idea of the number of Practice Squad or IR places?
Surprised the NFLPA didn't fight for more active roster spots, game day spots, PS in exchange for an additional game....
The roster flexibility may come in handy over an extended season.
Not if you count Rosseau and Brown and potential TE's.

He reminds me more like Favre than Rodgers. I know there is a clip out there where Holmgren says something like "no more rocket balls please". I could see Mcd saying it to Allen as they try to reign him in.
He looked fantastic last night.
I've had this same thought several times. While Allen has a looooooooong way to go to become Favre's equal he has a lot of the same tendencies. Allen is undoubtedly more athletic and may have a bigger arm. What makes me think if Favre is that they tend to start the game slowly. They're a little jacked up, throws tend to be a little high etc.
Let's hope his career follows the same curve!

Honestly, the Bills had the #2 defense last year with a hobbled Murphy. Is adding Clowney really going to make that big of a difference? Especially on a one year rental?

He literally said FIRST starting alignment. He means the very first way they line up at OTAs.Yeah, I literally read over the word "first" My bad.

My prediction for the first starting alignment is:
Dawkins - Ducasse - Morse - Long - Ford
I don't see any scenario were Ducasse starts over Spain or Feliciano.

Every Tasker interview starts with "Talk about....." Literally the worst way to conduct an interview.
I love the show when Chris Brown or Joe B are co-hosting.

"Let them fight".
Competition will determine the starters!

They said receivers run like 10 miles in practice.
I'm sure they run a lot but 10 miles seems to high.
I know teams monitor this stuff, it'd be interesting to see what that data says.

Wow!
POWER BOMB. Courtesy of Captain Insano!
I really like this pick. Kid has great range and crazy closing speed. Zo's got one more year but this kid will get a LOT of snaps this year. Joseph, Edmunds and Milano our LB speed and range have doubled.

His adjustment at 11:25 was something that has been missing from our WRs for a while. Seems like all of our current players just wait for a ball that will never get to them instead of going to get it.
Grier underthrew him in those highlights and he still made the plays a bunch also.
I've never played or coached WR but there is one thing I hate to see more than anything, a WR stopping and standing in a spot while waiting for the ball to come to them. It drives me crazy.

Love the section about "receiver legs". Never heard it called that but it makes perfect sense.
I remember a story Tony Kornheiser told about former Rams WR Tory Holt. He said he was at a gym working out and Tory Holt happened to be there. He said Holt got on the treadmill, raised the elevation and ran at a crazy speed for 45 minutes.
I guess that's how you build "receiver legs"!

Whatever it is, it has to be something big!

One home game during the first 5 weeks? WTF is that?

I'm going with Hockensen if he's even still on the board. He improves your run blocking, he improves the pass blocking and he's a legitimate offensive threat.

The permitted "dead ball" activities are hilarious; i.e., "defensive players may not catch a ball regardless of who is throwing it" -- why is that in there? I suppose the one good thing is that Allen can throw to his new receivers.
What if all the defensive players are transitioning to offense. Jerry Hughes would make an excellent TE. Trey White and EJ Gaines at WR etc.

Because he is double and triple teamed. If he was at Clemson or Alabama, he would have monster stats.
Maybe, he'd also be facing better competition.
The physical talent is clearly there but the NFL is littered with the bodies of guys who were physically talented.

"He would be a great addition to their stacked defensive front and he is still young"
Stacked defensive front? Wait whut?

Look at Tom Brady's effectiveness vs edge pressure and pressure up the middle. We have the opportunity to draft an up the middle pressure D Lineman at 9. That is a better strategy than trying to outscore the Pats. Just ask the Giants.
The only problem with that theory is that the just won the Super Bowl facing the two best up the middle DT's in the league.

Trade back and take him later and get another 2nd.
I'd love that but I'm not sure how long he's going to last.

I can't stop thinking that I want the Bills to draft Hock at the 9th spot. I know that's high for a TE but what a fantastic offensive addition he'd be for our young QB.

Wow... That won't be the case this year with Bell entering the AFCE.
Maybe, maybe not. Bell was out all of last year and the Steelers running game didn't miss a beat.

I'm not saying the airport story it true or false but I can share a personal anecdote. I've met dozens of Bills players over the years while travelling. The rudest I've ever met was Bruce Smith.
It's also meaningless. These guys have up and down days like everyone.
