Frazier & McD's defensive strategies a potential postseason liability
balln replied to Toyo321's topic in The Stadium Wall
i dont understand in a thread that is expressing concern - the answer is to just be happy with what we have relative to drought bills. sorry no. we want a super bowl. historically. they play crazy good against backup and bad QBs . They are a prevent / bend but dont break / passive / confuse the QB type D. I just dont think its the way to go with a QB like allen. He and the O have proven that they can score at will / and are often best in hurry up or gotta have it situations. Our D should BE uber aggressive/ attack / attack /attack. 1) because it wont let teams run the clock (which is #1 way to nullify allen ) and 2) even in the worst case scenario the D gets beat. youre banking on allen bailing you out more often than not Instead we have the opposite philosophy. Buts its the chicken / egg argument. Mcd and leslie were here first. Not allen. They are going to run what got them to become HCs. They should look in the mirror and see maybe they are wrong and need to change NOW that they have allen. I said it earlier this season. This roster and team is super bowl caliber. hottest seat/ longest night is McD. He has to win. In the ultra competitive business of professional sports IMO - He has this year / maybe next to win it. If not and the D still comes up short and messes up Allen (this indirectly happens w all the draft capital they waste on the wrong D players) pegs needs to make a change. he wont though. just "happy" to be relevant. -

Yea sorry. Chargers had everyone out. Derwin James is better than anyone we got. And they still had backups that have speed and athletic ability. They shut the phins down on a tarp/dome -

I mean. We just don’t have the athletes to run the same schemes. Tre TRIED to jam at line. And COULDNT. Got torched as a result. But he had some nice PBRs. Hamlin dane and poyer are very slow and slow twitch athletes. Never seen multiple plays multiple games in the nfl where rbs / wrs and even kelce run away from them ! Milano hobbled but also misses tackles. Their entire team just misses tackles - which to me in the nfl just means they suck. Not good enough been saying it all year. A lot of their players are JAGs. Ppl are gushing over shaq. He was discarded by jets and phins like trash. He is a JAG. But relative to the well below average other guys (Aj and Basham) he’s our best. groot is ok. He’s quite limited. He’s not an elite pass rusher. He’s huge. But light / I thought last night was worst run def I’ve seen him. Only has a bull rush and zero other moves. He wins if qb holds ball forever. He doesn’t win right off the ball -

He’s making a lot of bad plays on returns. Taking kick offs out of end zone and not making it past 20. He’s been brutal I’m not securing field position by running up and making a catch. And then something new today- he fair caught it w no one around him on the 7 at end of game -

oL gave up an immediate pressure. Once again Allen has to run around . High difficulty throw deep shot. not sure why we can’t run shorter stuff w a struggling OL -

This D. Are they daring to run? Staying in this nickel ? frazier awful. Needed an adjustment after that FG drive. And they don’t.
