I love the Sabres but lets not get too excited here in Mid-November....this is the same team that managed to botch two key free agents in drury and briere and has a street rep to not attract marquee talent FA's due to this management style. I love their drafts but they are going to need to make some big trades at the deadline to re-load...

Sure its nice the Sabres are winning early on, but come on, hockey is nowhere near the position the NFL is today, even in Western NY. It'd be nice to have a good friggin football team to talk about in November instead.

Wow, well i live in downtown SD right next to petco park and would be jazzed that the Bolts would move downtown. But i have to agree I dont see this happening. Residents love the Bolts but more hate paying for a stadium and that makes the Chargers a candidate for moving to LA -- the Spanos family acts much like Ralph in their hanging this over fans's heads. If this does happen, I'd live in a sports paradise with a new condo about 3 blocks from both the Bolts and Pads and plenty of bars in between. In theory, this would be a great idea give the close location to restaurants and bars. We shall see. This is sort of a last gasp effort by the team...my guess is that LA's short list is down to SD, Buffalo and Jax. One of those 3 will be playing in LA in 2013 and one of those 3 cities wont have a team.

Hockey is fun to watch, but personally save your cash, watch the Sabres game on TV in the comfort of your home. The main thing you said was tight on cash and underemployed ...If you can get a cheap (sub $50) Sabres ticket go for it, at least they have a chance.

Buffalo fans are passionate no doubt, but to a fault as well. "We" as in Bills fans tend to be blindly loyal and line up like sheep for our yearly dissapointing ritual without asking for accountability (aka not filling seats). To this point, ask yourself this...if Buffalo had say the climate of San Diego and a ton of entertainment options (beach, hiking, boating, desert off roading, you get the point) and the team continually fielded a crap product, would games sell out? My guess is the ralph would have been half full a long time into the "Decade of Fail"....

Its funny, I crushed a 3 team parlay (NE, GB and INDY) on the 10 am games and thought to myself "why havent i bet against these teams all year!"... Things will change eventually, once you start to see lines of 19 or 20 ...The books still make a killing dont be fooled, the juice is worth the squeeze

Well because outside WNY, no one really cares or follows the Bills. Even w/ TO, we have no sexiness or appeal. That tends to happen as well after a decade of failure... The part that sucks the most is that the national media doesnt see how bad a coach he is week in and out like we do...they just see the boxscore...

Carson Palmer, Troy Aikman, etc Sanchez will be a solid pro, lets not discount that Robby J, Trent and JP might have just sucked no matter where they were from

Well, with the exception of say Jim Kelly and a few years of Joe Ferguson, who the frick else has been good at QB for the Bills? LOL. Nothing doing, so my point was that its the not the CA QB's in Buffalo as much as the horrid talent evaluators/poor choices they have made. You name the state Im sure the Bills have had a bad QB from there. Palmer up and down? He's got a Pro Bowl under his belt and looks to finally be healthy...I'd say he'd be Buffalo's 2nd or 3rd best QB of All-Time if he was on our roster from the get-go....so whats that say then? And the jury might out on Rodgers but a) you could make the case he plays in a more football crazy environment than Buffalo and b) he was in one heck of a situation sitting behind Favre, dealing with all that drama to become pretty darn good.

I don't get this cold weather QB fetish. Carson Palmer plays fine in cold climates. Aaron Rodgers sure looks great in Green Bay...how about its more the fact that the Bills BLOW at deciphering talent and have drafted massive reaches at QB from average D-I programs (Tulane, Stanford...) Bringing in Garcia would likely screw us more -- we'd win 5-6 games maybe instead of 2-3 and get a worse off draft pick and still be in shambles. I would have been all for this in the offseason LAST year to compete vs. trent...but hey that would make too much sense.

I don't understand this logic, what other inferior product if you knew it was a POS would you buy regardless? Any other industry that product fails. I'm not convinced the team moves yet but even though I live in SD I would fly to B-LO for a game a year. That ended last year and I'm sure as hell not shelling out a grand for a trip to see 3 and outs on button hooks and a press conference fodder that is beyond cliched and clueless... If I was a season ticket holder, I'd be all over ebay and craigslist selling the late season games....
