  1. I was in Vegas in July. Never had worse luck. My only win at the slots was $20 on Fremont Street. I put that $20 on the Bills to win the Super Bowl at +7500. The only bigger payout listed was Miami to win the AFC East at +10000.
  2. VA Beach. GPS doesn’t say 11 hours but factoring traffic, bathroom/snack breaks, refueling, and general traveling with a kid, I feel making it in that time frame would be an accomplishment.
  3. I’m making the 11 hour trek from SE VA for the Skins game as well. Was planning on bringing a coworker who was a diehard Washington fan but his fandom has died hard. That’s fine. Now this 5 year old gets to make his first Buffalo trip. Go Bills!
  4. Levi Wallace needs to be a priority. Don’t overpay, but do not let him walk.
  5. Is Benjamin even still in the league? When we traded for him I thought “good to have a veteran mentor,” and someone told me he was 26 at the time. I was confused as to how he seemed to run so slow and yet be so young.
  6. You’ve helped me realize that I’ve been thinking the same way about recent news I’ve received. I too have been rationalizing it away as necessary or perhaps even deserved. You’re allowed to make peace with No Goal, Wide Right, and the Illegal Forward Pass as you see fit. Going the Stockholm syndrome route is an interesting choice. But no one deserves to be devastated. Teams lose games in which they’ve “outplayed” the opposition every Sunday. This may not be cosmically fair, but life isn’t. Its just an odd thing I’ve realized we do as humans to rationalize terrible events by injecting a weird moral component into an outcome that we have no complete control over in the first place. But in the end life does go on. Winning in Tennessee today won’t change the past, but it sure would help me feel better in general. And I’ve made peace with that.
  7. I’d like them to clear Allen to play and start Barkley anyway.
  8. Given the great early start the team has had, it’s easy to let the expectations skyrocket. And while I think even with Allen sitting we’re the better team, let’s say things don’t go well against the Titans. Would it really be that big of a let down? Before the start of the season, just based on the schedule alone, would you have been okay with a record of 3-2 at the bye?
  9. This^. Op took one for the team by clicking on it once, don’t give them more clicks for terrible journalism
  10. Sad that even if this team goes undefeated, the talent won’t dominate headlines. Instead the narrative will be “Is the Cheatriots era over?” Sure, we’ll get a few “isnt that quaint” segments. But our long suffering story isn’t as compelling to the mainstream audience as: the Browns talent dysfunction the Jets dumpster fire the second coming of Daniel Jones the lunch menu for the Dallas Cowboys how long until Jay Gruden gets fired Dolphins tanking for whoever the top pick seems to be at the moment wondering why Mahomes sounds like he swallowed a frog. I hate to admit how much, but I really enjoy any Bills content on the sports talking head shows. It’s been so enjoyable to have these people, who usually just ignore Buffalo on the basis of market size, forced to have to talk about us.
  11. The Cowboys. Their always getting airtime is more than annoying. They are a default segment of any sports show because you can always scrounge some kind of legal charges at random. They are the Lakers of the NFL: coverage even their performance is not worthy of journalistic coverage. Add to that Jerry Jones gets a free pass on everything. If there was another owner who did what he has allegedly said what he has said, supposedly done what he’s done, has the politics he does, and with that accent to boot, they’d take his team out of an abundance of caution.
  12. The funniest part of the ones I’ve seen is the panther roar at 0:24 https://youtu.be/LCqxc_UDMl0
  13. After the Bengals took the lead more than one person in my group said something to the effect of “we need some Pancho power right about now!” Now I’m wondering how many of us asked him for help. RIP
  14. About 99% of the time, referencing grammar when debating topics is a waste of time. They don’t learn whatever you’re attempting to teach, and you’re not really trying to be helpful. Why the passive-aggressive charade? Besides, if you understood enough of what was posted to disagree with it, the grammar was obviously sufficient. The 1% of the time it isn’t a waste of time if when the mistake is hilarious and takes over the thread. The Fitz obsession after he left us to be another teams backup for less money still mystifies me. I’d be willing to bet there’s a Fitz specific thread every season since. Replying “no” to a topic without any explanation used to irritate me. Now that I’m a father, I assume that it’s either a dad joke or pure nihilism. I also put “it’s only preseason” in the same category because not a substantive response. It’s like typing the time and date. We’re aware. Unless it’s followed by facts or, at least a theory, we have clocks and calendars for that.
  15. I’d be interested in the hoodie option specifically because I’m in VA and hoodies are usually all we need for the winter. I also have a custom design idea where it’s just a usual suspect replying to a complex question or multiple choice topic with “no.” It used to be a pet peeve, but I’ve come around.
  16. He’s got a doctor who isn’t an MD to make special potions for him
  17. When do we cut bait? It makes you wonder what he said to convince the staff that he wasn’t an injury risk after a career of being injured. It almost makes you feel bad for Cincinnati. When Eifert wasn’t injured, he was and vice versa. Meanwhile Eifert is supposedly good to go this Sunday.
