  1. I’m fine with not overpaying for talent. But let’s drop the broken logic of the “we’re not one or two players away.” By that logic, any player we traded for today would bring us one player closer and so on. And the trading for 3 would then theoretically get us “there.” ?
  2. Since so many in previous threads think that booing your team when they play poorly is bad form, how about refs? Or does the price of your ticket include this?
  3. I’ve never guaranteed a win. However I am going to the Redskins game and I’ve never attended a Bills loss. They’re 5-0 with me in the stands. My last game was week 3 against Denver in 2017. Take that as you will.
  4. Sad doesn’t begin to describe it. Not just being exposed, but everyone and their mom calling it. The defensive staff hearing criticisms beforehand not doing enough to counter it is also disappointing.
  5. Those 2 statements are looking very dubious after this game.
  6. You are what your record says you are. Unless you’re the Buffalo Bills. Then you are what the national media thinks you are: the 52nd ranked media market. It’s quite inconvenient for sports journalists that the 4th largest in Philadelphia to be on the outside looking in not even halfway through the season. Based on what I’ve heard from the usual suspects of sports talking heads, the spin has already begun for two possible outcomes on Sunday. Either the Eagles snap out of their funk against outclassed Buffalo pretenders, or the Eagles, their super bowl caliber coach and quarterback beset on all sides by injury, will have a game stolen from them. Is it merely pandering to the larger media market for clicks? Residual benefit of the doubt given to a Super Bowl winner two years removed? On paper the Eagles gave good win against the Packers on the road. But they’ve traded away one of the few names in their secondary in Peters who promptly had a pick 6 for his new team the vet next game. And there’s multiple reports about the apparent discord in their locker room. I just have a hard time seeing the reasoning of so many rolling with a team on a two game losing streak, on the road, in a hostile environment. I’m hoping for a convincing Bills win if only to see the talking heads stammer their way around it next week.
  7. Considering their recent history, I would have demanded more if I was ATL. NE needed a WR more than ATL needs a virtual 3rd rounder AND a hole in their own receiving corps. I’d tell them to come back when they’re giving me a 6th and a 7th if only to make that Super Bowl loss feel a little more dull. It would be like selling the last infinity stone to Thanos for a million dollars. Sure, it’s decent money for you, but what have you done? What have you done?!! I’d be fine with the other 31 teams not dealing anything to NE that isn’t absolutely through the nose. Bernie Sanders would be okay with the top team in the NFL paying more.
  8. Exactly. As if the Dolphins said “We haven’t won yet, so let’s bring our B game.” No! We got them as a fired up team who was a 2pt conversion away from winning last week. They were hungry and they played like it. The narrative that we were supposed to handle an NFL squad like a JV team is laughable. Just like we’re going to get an Eagles squad that’s putting up newpaper articles in the locker room right now calling them a team on the outside looking in. They are going to be fired up and we should prep for a fired up Eagles squad.
  9. The biggest head scratcher for me was his scramble in which he evaded 3 potential sacks and STILL didn’t throw it away. But otherwise I’d rather him overthrow a deep ball receiver than to underthrow.
  10. If you’re hoping for a WR, then I assume you think our current WRs can’t get separation and the issue isn’t Allen’s limitations. I like Allen and I believe he has a high ceiling, he just isn’t the surgical precision passer we want him to be yet. So I would lean towards LB or OL at this point if moves are to be made.
  11. The Bills-iest outcome would have been the ball slipping out of Hyde’s well timed leap and the Fins recovering in FG range. Then instead of a gimme overtime, Fitz does a fake spike for a TD.
  12. After every replay I’m more impressed with the timing, the height of his jump, and agility. Mostly the timing. It would seem that if Hyde didn’t go an get it, it most likely would have went out of bounds. The Poyer block should be it’s own separate highlight.
  13. Before we get too amped, apparently his knock has been going off script. May not be a McBeane process guy. https://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/miami-dolphins/fl-sp-dolphins-patriots-kelly-column-20190915-umyck4urpjcp5jvfzr67egbsg4-story.html
  14. I think Mike Vrabel coached one of his last games in Tennessee. They don’t have a rabid fan base but something has got to give. They had so many chances to win against us and Denver. There were high expectations to improve this year and the regression of Mariota throws water on any perceived progress offensively. Plus the unfortunate history with similar coaches i.e. Munchak and Mularkey, I see his bags already packed.
  15. That’s what people thought about Crunch Berries. The more the crunch berrier. Now there’s Oops! All crunchberries and my dentist is buying a second vacation home off of what he’s charging me to reconstruct my mouth!
  16. Especially when the teenager making your Subway sandwich is also called an artist.
  17. I don’t subscribe to the myth that playing a young QB is somehow stunting their growth. As if there is a prerequisite time when the opposing defense will be easier to play against, coverages easier to read, and hits easier to take. You can watch as a backup for years, and study until the starter gets injured. But you still have to go into a live game at some point. Rosen has already jumped over that hurdle. He’s already started. Besides, testing Rosen’s mettle only finds out if he’s a diamond in the rough. If not, you have lots of picks and draft position.
  18. This is awesome. Glad to see him immortalized. I just got the Pancho Power book and my son has picked that book two nights in a row for his bedtime story. I’ve yet to make it through without getting a case of the feels. Then again I’m not made of steel, I also struggle with the Giving Tree and I Love You Forever. Not a fan of anything referencing the circle of life before bed.
  19. That’s him in a nutshell. I’m convinced that he simply has his minions search Twitter for mentions and bases his show in proportion to the results.
  20. Shahid Khan also said he doesn’t want to trade Jalen RAMSEY. And every coach gets the vote of confidence just before getting fired. Not very much to read into when smoke screens are the norm. Green has been hurt often. I’d like him to be a James Lofton who came in later in his career and made his career here. But I have a sinking suspicion he’ll be an older version of Sammy Watkins. A highlight reel game followed by 8 weeks of game time decision injury status.
  21. Good piece. Well done. I think many were behind him just based on flashes of skill. Now I’m rooting for him on a personal level.
