Baker Mayfield to Carolina rumors heating up...
benderbender replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall
It's my suspicion that the NFL is waiting until Mayfield is traded before they drop the two year Watson suspension hammer on the Browns. -
Why don't NFL players have Tommy John surgery?
benderbender replied to BringBackFergy's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'll often be scrolling through "answers" and read halfway through an ad before realizing it. But that sort of advertising doesn't work on me. Because I take AdForgetter+ now with 35% more calcium. -
Feeling like Bengals might be "Top Opponent" this year
benderbender replied to Billsfanatixs's topic in The Stadium Wall
Not to mention the coach. Reich is McDermott's theoretical evil twin. He's got hair, offensively aggressive, and likes to roll the dice. I'm not so sure if we didn't "take a chance" on him instead of Rex Ryan, we wouldn't be in a similar position atop the AFC by this point. -
Bruce Smith trashes Tony Boselli's HOF Induction
benderbender replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall
Both are true. Bruce is highly egotistical AND Boselli doesn't deserve the HOF. There are more deserving OL who had much longer careers. You really have to wonder why he got special treatment. To get JAX players in the hall? -
Rousseau and Basham at the Von Miller Pass Rush Academy

Tyreek Hill says Tua is more accurate than Mahomes
benderbender replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
He knows where his bread is buttered. Got to thank the team that handed you the bag. Can’t fault him for CYA answers. I try to root for people instead of against. However, it’s hard to root for this guy. He’s got the domestic assault and battery, he chose money over team, and he has his own brand of un-Jordan/Kobe-like arrogance that just grates. -
Always hoping we find the diamond in the rough, but this guy fooled 32 teams for 7 rounds if he’s an undercover superstar. His stats don’t pop, his combine measurements don’t particularly impress, but I’m still rooting for him. Hell, Dawson Knox had comparatively few reps at TE and still had a highlight reel hype video when he was coming out.

I used to confuse him with Dennis Green because I felt they both were good coaches who never were able to get the staff they really deserved.

Heath Farwell being “honest” with JAX media…
benderbender replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall
We can expect the same "answer" and "accountability" that the government has had for the past two years: "It's over. Why dwell on the past? Moving forward." -
All I do is stag stag stagnate no matter what...

I remember after a few seasons of play with Buffalo being way too easy, I chose the Pats with their newly redone uniforms in I think Madden 94 because I felt bad for them. I thought the flying Elvis logo and colors were an improvement over the old Colonial Williamsburg employee uniform. Honestly, I think that if New England wasn't constantly embroiled in scandal while we had our statistical anomaly of a drought, we wouldn't hate them quite as much. It lent a bit of credence to the idea that maybe our team wasn't so spectacularly poorly run. If Brady wasn't so smarmy and whiney, maybe we'd respect him like Payton Manning or Aaron Rodgers. If Belichick wasn't trying to do his impression of Walter Matthau in Grumpy Old Men every press conference, we might have begrudgingly respected him like Bill Parcells or Don Shula.

Then to a water park 🤣

More than Watson, I feel the NFL needs to drop the hammer on the Browns. They were aware of the numerous allegations. They manipulated his contract in anticipation of him being suspended so they'll only take $1M cap hit. I'd suspend him for two seasons at a minimum just to make an example to other teams. And those other teams already are angry with the Haslems for making the seemingly least deserving player the first to have his contract guaranteed.

Aaron Donald may retire if Rams win SB?
benderbender replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
They all smoke weed too but all but a few can figure out how to work the system. I get the feeling the same happens with PEDs. -
Like I said, it won't be the last Fitz thread.
-
Tom Brady has a doctor who isn't a PhD. His TB12 system made Edelman pop for PEDs. Alex Guerrero went from checkered past "alternative medicine" nut to the fixer for players looking to play past their prime (mostly current and former Patriots players). He's playing longer than anyone has played before. I'm sure there's nothing suspicious about it.

How about this trip down memory lane? Every day is confirmation that we picked the right Josh

If you grease the tour guide's palms, they'll let you try to slide down the handrail in the 300s.

Seems like Lamar Jackson isn't pleased with the Ravens tonight
benderbender replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall
If I was Arizona, I would do it in a heartbeat. Ravens letting Lamar twist in the wind despite being their presumptive franchise QB who has delivered more than Murray. Take the hail mary out of his resume and what has Murray done? Has Murray done charitable work? Did he humbly sign autographs for opposing fans after the biggest defeat of his career? Murray was publicly demanding an extension before he was actually able to do so, Lamar was a league MVP. Murray is rumored to be selfish and immature. Which is to be expected for his age, but not for his position. If we're calling their physical talents equal (exceptional runner, middling passer) then the tie breaker would be experience and locker room presence. -
McKissinc changes mind, returning to Washington
benderbender replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall
I love that we didn't bother to fix the spelling of his name because he's not worth it. Personally, I would change every mention to "Not James Cook." -
If Beane was truly reckless with the cap, he would have freed up space for Bradberry. Could you imagine Tre White bring free to take his time coming back to be the cherry on top of our defense? It would have wrecked the league before it even had the chance to check itself. And you must give one the sporting chance to check oneself before allowing themselves to wreck themself. It is only good manners.
