Back in my day we updated sites manually. There was a chute in the back we shoveled the coal into a server the size of an office building, and if you didn’t keep it hot, she’d freeze up on you like Shaq in a bathtub of IcyHot. If you wanted to check a website on Christmas, you had to steal the eyes off all your neighbors snowmen because the coal mines were closed that day. Plus there was an ordinance against using a pickaxe during figgy pudding hours in those times. It was called pudding savings time and we were thankful. Both ways. In the snow.
