[Name Only Title] Kareem Hunt ??????????????????
benderbender replied to Paul Costa's topic in The Stadium Wall
Has Josh Jacobs brutalized any women that we know of? I’d sleep better at night giving up a 3rd for him than a 7th for Hunt. -
How in the hell did Nathaniel Hackett become an NFL head coach?
benderbender replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall
Hackett got a job and Frazier didn’t. You have to wonder what the barrier for entry is. Previous coaching experience, coordinator success? It really makes you wonder who was selling Hackett to teams? Maybe he just had the interview of a lifetime. -
NFL Week 7 - Around the NFL - Gameday thread (Bills have bye)
benderbender replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Why? Tomlin already started the Pickett experiment. It's an evaluation season. My wife said the same thing about the previous interception. "It looks like he just wants to sit down." -
You can pretend it isn't, but your family is important. Sour grapes never tastes sweet. Millions of dollars can't hold you at night. All the professional success in the world doesn't say I love you and mean it. As much as I can't stand Brady for his cheating, I don't wish him evil in his personal life. And even as much as he's made his bed and is simply lying in it, I can't take pleasure from it.

My wife is a huge horror film fan and calls him the Candy Man with great affection. She says he intimidates the opposing players with his emotionless squint. I hope he actually does. Frazier deserved a shot at another HC job. More specifically, he deserved the Chicago position. It is infuriating that 13 seconds cost him reuniting with the franchise he won a ring with. Add to the indignity that they hired an obvious flop. And unless we blow out everyone in the playoffs and Super Bowl, the fact that we gave up another 13 seconds last week will probably cost him another.

Motor on what is special about Josh as a teammate
benderbender replied to CorkScrewHill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Sounds like they've got a Sacred Band of Thebes going on and I'm here for it. -
Lost all respect for McDaniel. The Pope himself could have cleared Tua for a concussion but he himself was the final gatekeeper. He did not choose his player’s health/safety/future. He looked into his glassy eyes and sold his football coaching soul when he told him he could play after he fell twice and had to be held up by his OLine. McDaniel does not deserve the free pass everyone gave him and the worst part is: he won’t even pay the steepest price for it.

If you could only have 1 (Beckham or McCaffrey)

I’d take a rental on Claypool instead. -
Ken Dorsey is really really good
benderbender replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall
If Kliff Kingsbury and Nathaniel Hackett can fail forward to a HC position, there’s no reason Dorsey can’t. -
Did we just teach the NFL how to defend against KC?
benderbender replied to PrimeTime101's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yes, but we also can't defend against a FG in less than 13 seconds so... -
Zach Ertz?

NFL Week #6 - Bills at the Chiefs - 1st half game thread
benderbender replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
they only need 15 yards to score better play off at the goal line -
Not reliant, but it would be nice for it to be a realistic option. How awesome would it be if opposing teams had to game plan for our RBs? It sounds crazy, I know. Preparing for the run is 50% of prep for playing the Titans. Having a rushing attack would make play action actually believable instead of it just being a ritual before a pass play. It would give us something to do when we have a lead that doesn't involve running a QB sweep with the future of our franchise. I'm just hoping that Kromer is breaking out some revolutionary run blocking scheme that just is taking 6 weeks to start seeing results.

Micah Hyde has successful surgery 6-9 month recovery
benderbender replied to Dablitzkrieg's topic in The Stadium Wall
Rumor is Hyde observed the team surgeon and couldn't stop touching the sides and making the player's nose glow. -

6-9 months recovery and coming back around 4/20? -

Is it supposed to be more ironic or not ironic coming from the poster child of concussions? I need an irony meter. -
It is not Edmunds hate. It is a frustration with his lack of progression and development. We saw more base instinct in the preseason with Bernard than Tremaine’s 5 years of NFL experience and I think it’s started to dawn on us that he’s just not that guy. We wanted both. We thought Milano’s instinct would rub off on him or he’d develop his own by now. He plays sheet music very well but he can’t freestyle. He’s your best 9 to 5 but he’s not a supervisor. He’s great at what they’ve accepted of him and don’t ask him to do more. Maybe we should too.

As much as I would love to keep the status quo in the division, everyone has to realize that we were the statistical anomaly for 17 years. We can't count on other teams incompetence like our kind that gave Brady 2 free wins a year for a decade. The Jets cleaned up in this year's draft and while they didn't win the lottery with Wilson, they have a solid base to build on. Miami failed themselves into multiple high draft picks over the past few years and even though they wasted their pick on Tua, their defense is stacked. Barring massive mismanagement, the East is not a gimmie anymore. In fact, we should give Josh and Co retroactive credit for making it look so easy in seasons past. I don't know which fan base I'd rather have winning this weekend: the Mike Greenberg's of the world who rotate their show to feature their slightly above average rooting interest, or the Dan Lebatard's who don't blame the coach for putting Tua back in the game week 3 yet blame the NFL and its fans for supporting it. Although I have to say Lebatard's simultaneous homer-ism while still trying to wag a moral finger at his own fanbase is one of the greatest feats of mental gymnastics I've seen.

NFLPA initiating investigation into Tua’s concussion protocol
benderbender replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
Just coming back to check on the “there couldn’t possibly be any wrong doing because it’s specifically someone’s job to prevent this” crowd. Faith in the system overriding common sense is something of a theme since 2020 in general, it’s weird to see it penetrate sports so visibly. -
Just like Tua's head. Your eyes are so dumb!

How it started: How it's going: As someone who gave Milano grief at the time, I am happily eating years old crow on this one. Lamar is superhuman and Milano might not have blown him up, but it was an important tackle at a key moment.
