Any time I see the early 90s Jets I think of Dennis Byrd and mostly the TV movie starring Peter Berg.

Jordan Poyer Discussion - Does he stay?
benderbender replied to Warriorspikes51's topic in The Stadium Wall
Deceive yourself if you must, but they were gone when she packed up their house. Nobody does that. Nobody moves if they don’t have to, even a wealthy athlete. If there was a chance of staying, you’d hold off on the moving men until you knew for sure. -
I hope now they don’t have the $$$ to lure away Poyer now

Per Shefty - Bills “expected to lose” Poyer and Edmunds
benderbender replied to BeastMode54's topic in The Stadium Wall
Not the 21 million a year figure that fan club was anticipating? 🤔 -
Beasley and Thielen running option routes will confuse Edmunds’ wingspan when we play him

Should we trade Ed Oliver?

It’s a tv channel that shows Bones and Criminal Minds on repeat -
I’ve been saying for years that we can’t count on our division rivals to be incompetent like we were for 17 years of the drought. With the draft last year and the moves they’ve made so far, the Jets and Dolphins look like they’ve grown up. Not fun.

Lamar Jackson wants guarantees that exceed Watson contract
benderbender replied to SCBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
It's hard for me to hold it against Lamar to ask for fully guaranteed and mostly perplexes me as to why the Browns ownership didn't get forced out for wrecking the market. That deal was outrageous. The only thing the Browns seemed to win in the negotiation was paying him the 1 million for his first year they knew he'd be suspended for. Deshaun Watson is an unending PR nightmare that even championships won't erase. Yet he was the only person to have a guaranteed contract. This reset the market, but you're supposed to not notice. Kyler Murray got the same basic Watson contract just with 60% guaranteed money. It's amusing to me that teams would say "Ah, you see? Murray's contract isn't guaranteed and that was the last deal so THAT is the reset. Forget about fully guaranteed now." -
Lamar Jackson wants guarantees that exceed Watson contract
benderbender replied to SCBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
If you were trying super hard to make it NOT seem like collusion, you’d at least ask these “sources” to not all say the same thing at the same time on the same day. -
I heard the kid sold home playoff tickets in advance which disrespected him. In other news, Saffold was following this news story but was mentally exhausted and had to act like a turnstile.

Diggs unfollows Buffalo, follows Cowgirls 🤷♂️
benderbender replied to DaggersEOD's topic in The Stadium Wall
It's the passive aggressive nature of it that bothers me. I thought he was alpha male, type A, goal-oriented leader. This flies against what we thought he was and makes him look like a Viking. -
Lamar Jackson wants guarantees that exceed Watson contract

Yes every team is hoping that every agent forgot. You can’t un-ring that bell. And the fact that THE worst guy got the first guaranteed deal is the straw that broke the back. Lamar is a talented QB but he’s a franchise leader who gives back to his community. He’s worth more than Watson in PR alone and he knows it. It’s not his fault the market got reset. The cost of eggs is $8 a dozen and QB contracts are guaranteed. -
Lamar Jackson wants guarantees that exceed Watson contract
benderbender replied to SCBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Just a reminder that the Browns gave Watson a $230 Million guaranteed contract. It happened. Any QB who doesn’t ask for at least that afterwards is admitting he doesn’t bring as much to the table as a 25 time accused sexual assaulter. So Kyler Murray. Lamar thinks more of himself than Kyler Murray. Now that the XFL isn’t a tour de force and March Madness is too far away, the media wants to pick up old stories and refurbish them for content about Lamar. -
Spoiler alert: If the hot supermodel wife complains online, she gets sympathy. If Poyer goes out and yells that he’s underpaid, it’s not the best look. They’re executing Rosenhaus’ plan to perfection. He says hypotheticals like “if i’m not re-signed, well by golly gosh, I’d sure like more money please.” Never directly aiming at the FO but subtly suggesting they’re ungrateful. She says “I don’t want to move but my hubby needs to be paid.” They both come out smelling like roses and even the agent doesn’t even have to hard sell. Some team is going to get taken to the cleaners for a half a good year of a guaranteed contract.

Lamar Jackson wants guarantees that exceed Watson contract

It’s hilarious that all 32 teams want to pretend that brown stain on the underwear of the NFL called the Deshaun Watson contract didn’t happen. -
Matt Araiza, The Punt God, Signs With Team in Mexico
benderbender replied to ChevyVanMiller's topic in The Stadium Wall
If he’s cleared of all the charges, but most importantly the STIs he’s admitted to having. I don’t want my team catching his infected spores in the showers. -
Tremaine Edmunds will test free agency
benderbender replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
19) Tremaine Edmunds, #Patriots, 5 years, 77.7M. Looking more like only WE think he’s worth 20 a year -
Sucks for him. Reid should have went out on top and enjoyed a burger filled retirement. The way to go out would be when the NFL as a whole has backtracked the can’t win it all narrative and sung your praises. But if there’s one place where the previous OC underperformed and just being middling would be a huge difference, it would be WAS. All he has to do is decent and it will look great for him.

Poyer, his beautiful wife, and his loan shark agent chewing on a toothpick and flipping a nickel, (pictured here) have all made the bat signal of “overpay me.” Poyer made the case to be paid by being an iron man this season, and not holding out preseason. His media postulation and his wife’s social media have played their parts perfectly. He comes off looking wronged and undervalued. Hats off to the bull. Rosenhaus has completed the sweep and the FO looks duped.
