Bills vs Jags from London 1st Half Thread
benderbender replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
If you can't use the ground to catch it, and he doesn't have possession at that point, what's the argument? -

Seems like a game where they're not going to matter at this rate. The 3rd string D should be fresh -

Knowing Rich Eisen is so pleased is bothersome -
The Colts just made their meddling owner look stupid yet again and paid an RB's ransom to ruin my fantasy team.

The two rules I live by: Always do the opposite what Jim Cramer tells you to do with your money. Never doubt Von Miller because OBJ is on our team as promised.

Kyle Orton: Why doesn't he get a little ex-Bill love?

Down by 7 in the 2nd quarter and he chooses not to get Trent Edwards'd by two Broncos coming at him at full speed. What a jerk, huh? -
The real headline should read: No team was willing to trade for Johnathan Taylor so Colts cave to injured/not injured temper tantrum. Irsay deserves it.

Ja’Mar Chase: “I’m open. I’m always ****ing open”

The context is appreciated. journalism (little j) as a whole is counting on the public reading headlines and not whole articles. -
Leslie Frazier, Alex Smith, and the Golden Handcuffs

We're discussing it because there were no real answers given so it's open to endless speculation. -
Leslie Frazier, Alex Smith, and the Golden Handcuffs
benderbender replied to Long Suffering Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Frazier deserved the Chicago Bears HC job. He was exactly what they needed. It is a crime against the football gods that he didn't. Bears ownership is reaping what they have sewn and it doesn't even make me happy. -
NFL Offense > Defense Pendulum Swinging Back?
benderbender replied to EmotionallyUnstable's topic in The Stadium Wall
Defense wins championships...but only during alternating decades. -
I vowed to never give LeBatard any more of my clicks or downloads, but I'm very curious if, per usual, they ignored the Dolphins after a loss and focused instead on the NBA and college football. Or did they find a way to blame it on the patriarchy, systemic racism, or misogyny? I mean, it wouldn't top his rant blaming the NFL and football fans in general for Tua's concussions instead of his coach, but it would be the epitome of a beaver looking to chop trees on top of the empire state building.

The only way we got to re-sign Poyer over Miami’s offer was to agree not to play him against them this year. Source: high level meetings

Nope. You must not have heard of Ryan Fitzpatrick and his at least 4 yearly threads. He had two this year and he had already retired.

Who's going to the game tomorrow?

Was hoping the media's hype of this tropical storm was going to lead to people dumping their tickets. Ophelia already passed over us in SE Virginia and if we hadn't gotten emergency alerts on phones Friday, we would have just assumed it was a very rainy day today. I have no doubt it will be rainy in MD, but it won't be the monster the Weather Channel was hoping it would be. The resale market for tickets are insane. You can poo poo it. You can debate the causes, but it's a fact. Kudos to whoever bought the $1500 tickets behind the visiting bench. Was sure they'd be the last to go. It's mind blowing that people can afford that in this economy. But then again, I am confounded how one can order Door Dash when the cost of food has never been higher. -

Oh no, poor billionaires losing money.
benderbender replied to Pine Barrens Mafia's topic in The Stadium Wall
For supposedly smart people, they're surprisingly ignorant or willfully ignoring the prime example of the Falcons lowering concession prices and enjoying more profits. The volume of people purchasing went up 50% more than making up the difference. People spent time they would otherwise be sitting in their seat pregame/halftime/postgame at concessions or using their leftover food budget on souvenirs. They even had more sales of food AFTER the game. No one is hitting up the in-stadium Nova for a $15 slice to enjoy on the way home. -
USFL-XFL merge; become UFL w/USFL and XFL divisions

Gatekeeping football fandom doesn't stop at your own NFL team anymore. Now it extends to every version of football.
