I was upset because the line being towed was that Nix is interested in "building through the draft" and when the time comes to resign a talented young player that we drafted, we (again) ship him off to another team without getting anything for him. If we have no interest in resigning our draft picks, we should at least trade them and not simply wait for their contracts to expire and wave goodbye.

Can you blame anyone for the shock and outrage? He was a veteran. He was a team captain. He had no off the field issues, or deep character issues. He isn't a typical WR diva that most with his talent level turn into.
