  1. Apparently the Bills do not have a clause in their cobtract with Rryan that he mus refrain from doing anything dangerous.
  2. Which Statistical areas on offense need improvement? The one that shows the Bills with more points scored than the opponent.
  3. My analogy would be steriods. The Pats** deflated the footballs to gain an unfair advantage in the game, much like an athelete juices to gain an unfair advantage in their respective performance at game time. What I noticed in the Colts playoff game is the ball bouncing/slipping/dropping out of the Colts recievers' hands, mean while all the Pats** recievers grabbed the balls like glue. Since this is the first time they got caught, tested, you are forced to concider how long the Pats** have been tampering with the balls without getting caught. Since the officials only tested the ballsafter concerns were raised by the Colts (half time,) I suspect that testing the balls during or after the game is not standard operating proceedure (which would be observable by the cheaters involved and assessed the tampering as low risk of discovery. The difference with steriods vs. ball tampering is the NFL conducts regular drug testing, so it is a higher risk or discovery. Will the NFL revoke the rule change insisted on by Brady and Manning for the teams to hendle their own balls? Will the NL insitute a new proceedure to check air pressure before, during, after games and/or assign a special handler of each temas balls? Pun intented.
  4. So I watched the vid and gotta say this kid Hill had some really big, good recievers to throw to. I saw a lot of come backs, twists, stretches, great hands, and wide open catches made. The plays also had a lot of 4 reciever sets. Moved around in the poclet well, although there wasn't a lot of plays with too much pressure. Not sure how deep he can get it (a lot of RAC yards) Seems to have a good arm, not much hesitation on his throws. Nothing against the kid, but I would suggest that without those recievers, he is not as succesful. But for a UDFA look see, sure, migth be able to make the practice squad at least or beat out Tuel at best.
  5. Since we will be picking at the 32nd spot, he will be long gone.
  6. Holy sh!t, but that looks just like one of my nephews!! Had a thought that maybe a ravens guy paid someone to deflate the balls, just to f**k with the pats?
  7. And they can easily give the OK to move on from the player if they don;t pan out. Risk is risk and if you don't take any, you tend to stagnate.
  8. Just give it to 'em.
  9. We do know that 11 of 12 of NE footballs were under inflated per NFL specs/rules. The only question is who told who to deflate them?
  10. My observation:There is not a second legitimate running threat. Except the QB, who you don’t want to get hit and hurt. As for the bubble screen option as a complement to the running game, teams are getting better at defending it on the perimeter. Defenses would have a tough time adjusting to a legimate second running back threat on the field. My contrarian thoughts: Play a REAL fullback running option, combined with your feature back, this guy needs to someone who is a real threat and the D needs to worry about him. Preferably this is bigger, inside runner . Maybe, I’m thinking Boobie Dixon. Summation: Yes I know teams will put in the Jon Kuhn types near the goal line. And, it usually opens right up because defenses are still focusing on defending other things. I’m talking about employing this formation with a better runner and more than just goal line situations. I'm after another option for the Defense to defend in the running game. I think this approach could be innovative and could be a competitive advantage for teams that employ it properly. Not saying I’m an offensive genius , but I’m surprised no one really does what I’m talking about now. Especially teams like the Bills who want to run and pound the ball, and have a problem with the QB position. Perhaps we will see more of it at some point. Offensive Innovation as an adjustment to defenses has a long history from Gillman to Brown to Coryell to Walsh to Gibbs right up to the current guys. Have any of you ever thought about this? Could it work as an adjustment to the current defense? I’m interested in your thoughts and opinions. Case in point the '83 to '85 SF 49ers with Wendall Tyler and Roger Craig. IMHO one of the best all time rushing duos.
  11. If I remember correctly, Mario Cuomo put in place tax laws that if you earned it in NY, you pay NYS taxes regardless of where you live. Now Marone could argue on the "Earned" part of the law.
  12. He screwed up by hitching his career to Malone. Just like Flounder did in Animal House. He trusted his frat brothers. My advice is to drink heavily. Trust me I'm in pre med.
  13. Iam indifferent towards Seattle, will be rooting against the pats. Unless my wife presents me with alternative entertainment.
  14. The Pats have been cheating even before Belicheat. Remember the snow plow game.
  15. The only reason I would watch this years SB is to route against the Cheatriots. Do not think this is reason enough to watch it. i.e. no fun at all. Could have been worse, a Dallas - NE superbowl as I hate each team (NE more) and could not stomach to watch either one playing or winning. Would have preferred a Bills-Packers superbowl. Against Buffalo, for one of our O-linemen pulling one of our RB's across a first down line. Apologies for not remembering any more details.
  16. And they get all of their draft picks this year and next.
  17. Even if he is a fan, why would he care since the Jets fired Ryan?
  18. Because the pats couldn't play straight up agginst a better team, they resort to cheap tactics.
  19. I wonder how big of a TV he can afford with the 4 mill he is getting from the Bills for sitting on his a$$?
  20. In hindsight, the way NE played (soft,) we would have won the game with Manuel at QB.
  21. Agreed. A mediocre QB needs an very good OL to perform at or above the QB's potential (Think Mark Rypien) Very good QB's make OL's look better than they are and can perform at an excellent level despite their OL. My formula; if your QB is average or below, invest in the OL. If your QB is above average, invest in weapons he can use. For the Bills; as much as I like Manuel, Orton retired, and few prospects for upgrading the QB beyond average - we need to upgrade the OL.
