  1. He gets most of his passes off in about 2 seconds. I really like the play at 3:37. A Blitz with an unblocked man coming at him, and he throws 25 yards to the end zone with single man coverage. I like our chances Sunday, Go Bills!!!
  2. IMO There is nothing wrong with our young GM and coach. Mistakes will be made. Learn from them, and move quickly and decisively. EJ has been, and is still a project in work. The time is now, GO Bills.
  3. It looked like Marrone was calling the plays. Maybe he called a pass heavy game to see if Manuel is their guy. It is still early in the season and they can make a change with a .500 record. Manuel failed miserably today. We will know soon if he has lost faith in his QB. I was supporter of EJ until this game, he made a lot high school throws. I have gone to the dark side and think it is time for a change at the QB position.
  4. This stat does not add up. If you go to the ESPN website http://espn.go.com/nfl/statistics/player/_/stat/receiving/sort/receivingYardsAfterCatch/league/afc/qualified/false According to ESPN, the total YAC for all Bill's players is about 100 Yards. The Sporting chart has it at 415. That's a 300 yard discrepancy.
  5. In order of air time: Cowboys, Broncos, Texans, and Arizona
  6. Bills 35 - Chargers 13
  7. I thought Henderson should have been there too. After hearing all week about how Wake was going to own him, Henderson kept Wake irrelevant throughout the game.
  8. I Believe in EJ. IMO, It is way too early in his career to say that he is a bust. Statistically speaking, his rookie year was not all that bad. When compared to current NFL QBs that started their rookie seasons, his passer rating was near the middle of the pack. It will be interesting to see how he plays this year. For many years the Bills have had some of the NFL's worst receiving groups. This is by far, the most talented group they had had in a long time. Go Bills!!
  9. 31-17 Bills, I have been drinking the Kool-Aid. Bills rush for over 200 yards, EJ 17 of 25, 185 yards 2 TDs 1 INT, Woods and Chandler with TDs.
  10. I agree House. I have not been this exited about a Bills team in over a decade.
  11. I am really liking this team. Players showing some passion and fight in them. The coach reels them back in with a come to Jesus. I think they may surprise the doubters this year.
  12. The most disturbing part, after he swatted the ball out of Tuel's hand, was the total lack of effort to tackle Jones. Watch the replay, he just stands there when he could have easily downed Jones at the 20, then again at the 5. Instead the ball is placed at the 1 yard line. He was just a spectator on that play.
  13. Steelers Report http://espn.go.com/blog/pittsburgh-steelers
  14. I watched both of them several times. When the ball is at the 7 yard line it looks like a TD, then Easly falls. Easly should have had it. Watkins, Williams or even Hogan in at receiver, at its a touchdown.
  15. The same type of pass was thrown to Williams earlier in the game, with similar coverage. Williams caught it. I do not think they are mentioning his name in the HOF. Easly sucks is the real problem.
  16. IMO it was a perfect pass to a receiver that needed to go up and get the ball. Easley was in position until he stumbled. If Easley does not fall, the ball is not intercepted and there is a good chance that it results in a TD. I like EJ as our #1 and Tuel as the #2. As the game slows down for them, and the O line improves, I think the Bills have got their QB's.
  17. It would not surprise me if they traded Spiller. I believe they want to be able to pound the ball between the tackles, punishing the defensive line. Spiller is not that type of rusher.
  18. The fans are too impatient with new coaches. Fans scream for a new coach after a couple of losing seasons. They think there is an abundant supply of quality NFL coaches wanting to come to Buffalo. A revolving door in coaches has resulted in constant change in Offensive and Defensive schemes. The players never become experts of the playbook. Since Wade Phillips left, there has been 6 head coaches. I would like to see Marrone given at least 5 years. The bills have not had a strong group of players that hated losing. Jim Kelly once said, you would have never known that the team just lost on Sunday, by the way the locker room atmosphere was on Monday. ( I think this is changing and it starts with Marrone) Bad Drafting by the Bills. (Again, I think this has changed too. I really like the last 2 drafts)
  19. It would have been interesting if Marv did let Tasker play at the WR position. It was reported at the time, that Jim had asked Marv to let Tasker play the WR position. Marv refused, for fear of him getting injured and not being able to play on special teams. Think about it. Steve was the best gunner at that time; he constantly had 2 jamming him at the line of scrimmage and he still made the plays. With his speed, quickness and ability to get off the line, I think he would have been an above average receiver if given the chance.
  20. I say Kiko. I thought on many of the long runs he was out of position, or was easily manhandled. I think he was solid for being a rookie, just not deserving of the hype.
  21. The first possession of the season, second Offensive snap of the ball, and CJ drops it. A gift 3 points to the Patriots. We loose by 2. Inexcusable!!!! And many on this site will blame the rookie QB or the rookie coach. EJ played a hell of a game, for his first game. He got little help from his veterans.
  22. All this talk of Fred being cut, IMO is nonsense. Fred is still a very capable running back, with excellent pass blocking and leadership qualities. I honestly believe if it comes down to CJ or Fred, they keep Fred. CJ lost us the opening game last year. It was the 2nd play for the Bills, Ball on the Bills 11, opening day, against NE, with a rookie QB. What does our starting RB do? He coughs up the football without even being touched. Luckily the defense held NE to a field goal. The Bills loose the game by 2. This is a prime example of what Marrone and Whaley want to change. These plays are classic bills plays and are a prime example of why the bills have not made the playoffs in 14 years. CJ played with a lot of heart last year. I think that saved his job and earned ahim nother chance this year.
  23. http://www.buffalobills.com/video/videos/Buffalo-Bills-quarterback-EJ-Manuel-18-yard-touchdown-pass-to-Robert-Woods/f75ccc6a-a8d3-4ae3-9729-9ba528be5002 My favorite part of Fred's game.
