  1. I started this same thread 2 weeks before the Dareus draft. Because I didnt want Cam. Today, I dont want OT Lewan. I just dont want the 3rd best of anything in the 9 hole. Including QB.
  2. I love Kiko. He is my favorite draft pick this century (my Sig from before last year's draft aside). We finally drafted somebody that EVERY team in the league would love to have. But here's the thing from the article that worries me: He said he wanted to be the MLB and would have been disappointed if he hadnt earned it. Now they are moving him outside (in favor of a scrubbish castoff from NE who only got the job 'cause he weights a few more pounds). Will he still be motivated? Will he feel slighted? Will he still be Kiko? When the time comes, I dont want "Kiko see free agency, Kiko eat free agency"
  3. This. All of this. To my own surprise. And OP, its too early for this post. The draft is still 4 painful weeks away. maybe try again in 2 weeks or so.
  4. yeah, to the OP's actual question, of my excitement "at the time of the draft" I'd have to say EJ. And based on my Sig from before last year's draft, when we got Robert Woods in the 2nd I thought I was dreaming. But as it has played out, I can easily say Kiko is my favorite pick in the last 13 years. Easily.
  5. who believes in Manuel . . . compared to what?
  6. I dont want to make fun of your obvious speech impediment. They have classes for that.
  7. He baited you into that one. Was waiting for you to try to call him out. +1 for Security "any" is singular. And it must take the singular verb. "I dont believe any (one) of you is better than michael jordan." We are only talking about one at a time when we use "any." Carry on, sir.
  8. Peyton F. Manning. I feel we are witnessing greatness. 2nd: Vince Wilfork. There just arent any other guys on the planet who can do what he does.
  9. Aside from the TecmoBowl music, the original OP video did not inspire. He looks like just another wr. Who of course caught the ball on every play in his highlight reel. I didnt see anything "special." This is not a thumbs-up or down. Just that we need a playmaker/difference-maker. If they take Ebron at 9, I assume you wouldnt still want or need Moncrief. (prob an OG or LB in that scenario).
  10. I think that's a tad bit revisionist history. Or maybe you're too young. Those guys were like Andrew Luck. Even if the colts had gone 4-12 last year, everybody knows Luck has "it." And the aforementioned 3 had "it." And you would not take the first overall pick in trade for any of them in the offseason after their bad rookie seasons. Would you now for EJ? Would ya? You get my overall point. Sometimes you KNOW, stats notwithstanding. And with EJ you dont KNOW.
  11. I hate this argument. Sorry, but its stupid and not thoughtful. With those guys, the teams KNEW that they had a franchise guy. And the fans knew. And the media knew. With EJ, nobody knows yet. He hasnt shown anything. Nothing. Lemme ax ya dis: If you were the GM of the Bills now, or the Cowboys, Colts, or Broncos then, and somebody picked up the phone on March 24 in the offseason after their rookie seasons and offered the 1st overall pick for Aikman, Manning, Elway, or EJ, would ya? For the first 3, of course not. Because you know that its not all about stats. For the 4th one, i think you would, or at least consider it. Because its not about stats for a Franchise QB in his first year. Does he have "it" or doesnt he?
  12. okay. point taken. Artificially enhanced, obviously not natural, such that you either love it or hate it. No inbetween. And I need that Bills logo on my wall. I'd much rather have that.
  13. As soon as I noticed the fake silicon, My eyes were immediately drawn to the Bills logo on the wall. And when I left the page and came back, same thing happened. In a battle between fake boobs and the Bills, Bills win every time IMHO.
  14. couldnt agree more. Love me some Jair-ee-us. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jairus_Byrd
  15. (minor detour, not a hijack) Most people (and OP) think its Jarius. Three syllables. Jair. ee. Us. Rhymes with Darius. But the kid's name is J-a-i-r-u-s. Two syllables. Jair. Us. Carry on, sirs.
  16. words. lots of . . . words. And numbers. And words. Someone should invent a paragraph break. So eyes dont glaze over reading important info. That said, that's very fine work, sir. (and I did read . . . every . . . word. Someone named Aaron Tipoti is costing us 2K in dead money). And to your point, I think the Bills will follow the moneyball approach (I just wanna use that word without having seen the movie) and draft well, and plug holes through FA. The new regime doesnt seem too interested in drafting/reaching for "need." If you didnt win the SB then you have plenty of "needs" which are often not what your fans consider "needs." OG, LB (in or out), and "playmaker" (TE or WR) in the first three rounds. In any order. Offer Byrd a fair, but not top 3 deal. Sign Carrington at all reasonable costs as possibly a higher priority than Byrd. Of course get rid of Kolb. And for sure draft a RB at some point. To the OP's point, DE could be in play. I think this team is going to be about BPA for a couple years, recognizing its at least a couple years from SB contention. Just draft good players and let the coaches use them.
  17. I like it. But NOT because it gives the Bills a better chance to get in. I dont want the bills to sneak in or back in. I want the Bills to construct a team that has a legit shot to win the Superbowl. I dont want the goal to be just making the playoffs. I dont care if 20 teams make the playoffs (like Hockey or something). I only want my team to have a REAL chance to win the Championship, not just make the playoffs. Dont aim low, OBD.
  18. That was like a 20 minute massage. Mmmmmmm. gooooood. Takeaways: -It started to feel like an Andre Reed HOF justification video. -I now remember firmly when the charging Buffalo was to be feared. Its been too long. -Have we ever not had an excellent RB? Damn we had some great ones. -Jim Kelly was the greatest Bill ever. Ever.
  19. This. And its been true for years.
  20. nope. I would consider him the same way I do now. Team sport. (i would probably love him more though. )
  21. its odd. I feel myself rooting for Seattle. Specifically for Russell Wilson. My brain keeps thinking that, if we had drafted Wilson, this could be us. Dammit.
