  1. Yeah. Not CHARGING. But still, he representin' Nope. FORD = Fix Or Repair Daily FORD = Found On Road Dead This goes back at least 25 years. Not only that, but its Accountability, in a way. After a bad loss, and you see that truck in the parking lot at Tops, you know he's not trying to hide from the fans. Ready to take his medicine.
  2. Because Bradford > McCown. Because the money has to be spent under the cap and we have plenty. Because we should get the best we can, even if its the best garbage.
  3. Disagree. I dont think they will bring in anybody who doesnt have a legitimate shot to beat out EJ. 2 reasons. It will give EJ more time to learn/develop. And Its bad for morale if EJ is annointed the starter in a fake QB competition, when the whole team knows that QB is the only position holding this team back.
  4. I hope they are only Publicly Flirting with McCown because the Rams are asking too much for Bradford. When the Rams see that we are moving on, they might just pick up the phone.
  5. Nothing good ever happens at Walmart after 9 am. Fifty bucks says Dez was wearing a wife-beater. PFT says it was from 2011. Maybe lapse of time will take some of the sting out. Or maybe not. Maybe he was choking his mother. Didnt he have a run-in with Police over fighting her before? ----------- Based on all of the above, maybe this is it: http://www.tmz.com/2012/07/17/dez-bryant-police-report-911-mother-bra/
  6. As of today, Bradford. There's too much scuttlebut about this happening. Whaley hasnt been super tight-lipped about his intentions since he came here, and hasnt used the Jedi mind trick on the fans. And we have almost no money tied up at QB.
  7. And all the heavy trash talk between the teams and the cities during the 80s and early 90s. I remember once ESPN did a show on the biggest NFL rivalries (which aired early - mid 90s). Bills v. Dolphins was 4th. (bears/pack, skins/boys, and I think Raiders/Chiefs). People dont remember what a HUGE deal that Bills/Dolphins used to be. Nationwide. I'm not over it. And frankly, I dont want to be over it.
  8. Bear in mind that, nowadays, we wont be paying our Rookies anything. Especially without a first round rookie. And, its not our money, Its Pegula's. If he wants to spend for a championship, and if his Generals tell him that this is a good place to spend money that must be spent, then i'm all for it. I trust the Generals.
  9. i remember a piece on DL a couple years ago. They showed that Rex's Jets preferred long/lean DTs. Guys who "play the run on the way to the QB." Penetrators. And when you think about it, that's what Ellis and Wilkerson and Sheldon Richardson are about. So when you talk about "run stuffer," I dont think those guys fit the bill.
  10. Probably happy to move up to a team with a rich history. Jets? Not much. Ravens? Not much.
  11. I'ma go with Zero. A fine is a virtual certainty. No one was injured. Everyone involved was a consenting adult. Yes, there was theoretical public risk, but boys will be boys.
  12. How about The San Diego Chargers Of Los Angeles?
  13. I second this. 2 reasons. First, not a big fan of tying up so much money in Revis when the age of the shutdown corner has passed (too many 4-5 receiver sets). Yes, rex needs a shutdown corner, but there's enuf talent on this team, so he needs to find another way to make-do without Revis, and find another way to spend that money. . As I understand it, Rex "needs" a shutdown guy so that he can use more exotic blitzes, or blitz less. But with this front 4, you dont really need to blitz as much anyway. Second, Searcy will be much more important to stopping Gronk than Revis will. (my lay opinion of course, knowing not much about coverages, looks, etc.). Not saying Searcy is a man-child, but I dont want to re-arrange deck chairs. Make a clear plan to stop Gronk, and execute.
  14. I thought it was interesting that Whaley said "until we find a Franchise QB," and not "Until we find or develop . . . ."
  15. Do we remember that was Bills v. Jets?
  16. I think the point of the RB class being loaded is that we dont have to take one in the 2nd. If it was thin, we might. But since 0-1 will go in the first round (if history is any indication), we can wait until the 3rd and still get a solid one. Basically, in the new NFL, the 2nd round for RBs is like the 3rd round for top OGs and Centers. Its their first round.
  17. As phrased, it sounds like you are saying we'd need a 2nd round level RB to replace CJ. I dont think so.
  18. Beau fleuve, I believe. from mme Colleran, 7th grade (witch) french teacher.
  19. Respectfully disagree. There's only so many reps to go around. And there's only 16 precious games per season. there seemed to be a feeling early last season that EJ should be given games until, basically, we were out of playoff contention. "He's only had X games, and so-and-so had X+Y games, so EJ needs more before we really know for sure." But to me, if he isnt earning playing time in practice, then get him out of the way. Be patient? okay Try to squeeze him reps? okay Get him an off-season QB whisperer? sure Force him into the starting role, because starting games is the only way he'll learn? NO Force him into the starting role, because we need to know a.s.a.p. if he can play? NO
  20. Been saying this for a long time about QBs. Every time I see a post about Manning's stats his first season, blah blah. I'm sure when I was 3 years old, my 40 time was faster than Chris Johnson's after 3 years. All I needed was more time. Better coaching. Fan support. Its about quarterbacking. Its about doing the things a qb must do. And showing promise. You can be patient with a guy who shows he can do these things. But IMHO, if a guy doesnt have it in him, its next to impossible to teach it. You can teach him to increase his completion percentage (with dumpoffs or a 1st read offense), you can teach him to avoid sacks, but progressions, accuracy, anticipation, tight windows, pocket awareness, etc., I dont think giving a guy X-number of additional games is going to suddenly reveal that he now has "it"
  21. no. Much worse O-Line nowadays. And very few veterans on Offense.
  22. Arent you tired of players who require us to have a special plan?
  23. I would really love to know what the new coaching staff thinks of Tuel. I like Tuel. I like his moxie. And really, how much does a QB need to do in Roman's system? Not saying Tuel is HOF or Franchise caliber, but I'm not sure we should forget that he exists on this roster.
  24. I see what you did.
