  1. check, check, check. Which means it is a lock to happen. Browns are dumb, Wisenhunt is smart, and Kelly . . . evil genius?
  2. i'm guessing Browns take best available RB at 19. At 12 they already took a pass rusher. They wont trade up for Mariota, who is Manziel 2.0 from their perspective, skill-set wise.
  3. Winston = Tampa Mariota = iggles (Note: I originally had Jets, but Iggles just makes too much sense) Cooper = Raiders Gurley = Browns Hundley = Texans Bonus: Bills pick Benardrick in round 2.
  4. nope. Gotta strongly disagree. Lived in SD 16 years. Now in LA for 4 years. San Diego is a lovely, spread-out, wonderland (for lack of a better term). But the pace of life is really really really slow. Its like Florida in some ways. A large retirement community. LA is more hustle-bustle. Yes, LA has suburbs with different qualities. You can basically find any kind of neighborhood you want here. The cities are similar in some ways. But nobody in LA thinks of SD as a suburb. SD is definitely "out of town" and a different place. And nobody in SD thinks of SD as having any remote connection, in any way, to LA, other than being in the same state.
  5. We want QBs to sit for a while and marinate, right?
  6. i believe they have already started negotiating with Luncheon and his agent. And there's a rumor that Luncheon's agent, a guy named Salmon, is about to get smoked.
  7. I think we can safely assume that it will never, ever, ever, be released on 4-20.
  8. if 1 out of 6 declares, I wonder about the other 5. Probably a lot of them have money problems but just dont file for bankruptcy. There was a quote on one of those ESPN "athletes go broke" episodes where a guy who did not go broke had the following quote for today's athlete: "You can live like a king for 5 years, or live like a prince for the rest of your life."
  9. I think that, to change any of your fundamentals, you have to drill the new style so many times, that it becomes the new "comfortable, original position." Like tens of thousands of times. Like 1000 every day in the offseason, in different situations. Not just 200 per day for a couple weeks, like Manziel or Tebow.
  10. Not saying he is a finished product. I am saying he has the right attitude. There's a reason he has lasted so long on the roster. They see "something" in him. And I'm saying I think its his "moxy." You cant teach attitude. I think he gets it. He's not a Frankenstein out there. He's kinda like a taller Doug Flutie. Trying to make something happen.
  11. All of this. Tuel has the "moxy" to get the ball downfield. He plays like his job is to deliver the ball to playmakers and give them a chance to make a play. And not just sit around and wait for the perfect guy to be obviously open.
  12. Strangely, I find 12 wins on that schedule. Strange, because I tend to be a pessimist, and I'm also a confirmed "EJ hater." So I'ma go 10-6.
  13. I am always holding my breath on every single play. "Please god get up." "Please god dont get hurt." "Please dont try so hard." And the idea of hoping my team doesnt try too hard makes it borderline unwatchable. I'm not enjoying any of it. Except the 3rd preseason game. That's the only one thats close to real football. But I'm still worried about injuries.
  14. . . . and of course this mock has us missing the Playoffs.
  15. Is it me, or did EJ look a little . . . watery during the drills. Like maybe he could stand to lose 10-12 pounds. I know its offseason and there's still time, but a pro athlete should have good weight, and no bad weight.
  16. This is a pretty comprehensive list. Agreed as to all. With the possible exception of the Chiefs. I mean, yeah, the franchise is old-school, and the red is sharp. But the uniform itself is notsomuch. Agree with vikings, if and ONLY if, its actual purple. For years, starting in the 90s, they have gradually shaded to dark blue. And often you could see the difference on TV where the helmet was purple and the jersey was dark blue.
  17. Well, I'd guess so. Since, arguably, last year wasnt 'pro style' at all, with a college coach and a college OC. And I'm sure this phrasing wasnt an accident (or, if it was, Freud would be proud). Its also interesting that Woods, who has only been in the NFL for 2 seasons, can recognize if something is "pro-style." Makes his comment even more of a "diss"
  18. I gave him an A. Primarily because he has a Vision. He has a plan and is working it. He isnt a reactionary who just chases his tail. Also, he is young and aggressive. We need that around these parts. You are a hard grader. It seems that to you, an "A" = perfect. I wonder how many GMs in the league you would give an "A" to. I'd guess maybe 1 or 2. You can grade how you'd like. Just an observation.
  19. i think the Colts have won the offseason so far. Only because they were already a contender and added about as much as we did. Bills are 2nd.
  20. Anybody see a Superbowl winning QB there? I dont. I see a guy who, from the snap, is "omg omg omg omg omg omg . . . yes!" Only a couple highlights, I know. And i'm happy he had time to marinate under Flacco. I'd rather see each of his 35 NFL passes, rather than 4 rah-rah college highlights. Hopeful, but not optimistic. Prove me wrong TT.
  21. Awesomely awesome. Just . . . awesome. THAT is how you live life as a football fan.
  22. This thread makes me worry that we have too many weapons. Not enuf balls to go around. And that's even if the balls are thrown accurately. I predict a few growing pains, until this Offense hits its stride around week 6-7.
  23. As long as the home opener is NOT miami, i'm cool. Hope to play them at the Ralph around Xmas.
