  1. I dont think Mike Tomlin will be activating you for a game, any time soon.
  2. Chris Berman once said (15+ years ago on Sportscenter) that the official colors of the Bills are Red, White, and Flag Blue. He was saying that only 2 teams in north America have this combo, and the other is the Montreal Canadians.
  3. I think/thought it was more of a (formerly known as) Tennehill move. Rather than be stuck with a passable but never great Foles for 5-10 years, go with Wentz instead. If wentz blows, draft another fresh qb.
  4. It just occurred to me that JAGUAR is a british icon as a car (even though they pronounce it with 3 syllables). This could lead to instant fan support, in a "UK against the yanks" kinda way. How has this not already happened? Makes too much sense.
  5. It has to be this. They have no history. If not for Barry Sanders, they have zero. And being on thanksgiving every year. Chargers have history. Atlanta would be next tier to go. Titans as Oilers have way more history, if you count that. ---------- The question is 2 teams who nobody would notice gone. It seems like some of you are answering as if its 2 teams who currently suck and so the league would be improved. People who said Dolphins, N.E., Chargers seem to be in this camp. (although chargers and Atl are top of the next tier, along with panthers in terms of no one noticing)
  6. This has some resonance to it for me, too. I think that, deep down, we know its an offensive league, and especially a passing league. So if we are able to score 35 consistently, we will feel like we have finally arrived as a team that can contend for it all.
  7. The penalty should be harsh since, unlike the Raiders going to a charity event, the Titans were cheating the rules in order to obtain a competitive football advantage over other teams that were following the rules. Vrabel applying his ingrained Pats approach to the rules. So: 1) Vrabel suspended 4 games without pay (= 4/17 of his 2020 salary). 2) Team Fined 3x the Bills' extra costs incurred this week and also for Chiefs week next week. 3) Team docked its 2021 1st round draft pick since they cheated on purpose, to gain advantage 4) Team fined $2M for each unauthorized practice they disclose. $10M for every one they don't disclose but NFL finds out about later 5) Season-long Probation: Another violation of the Covid rules = Forfeit that week's game, Vrabel suspended for season w/out pay, and Forfeit whatever % of that week's TV revenue the team would have received.
  8. I agree with the bolded. I was dinged once, I appealed, and I won. But since I wasnt banned from the site, losing the appeal or not having an appeal process wouldnt have hurt me much. Or, there can be an appeal process with a priority in which the appeals are resolved. If it results in a ban , that should get first priority for appellate review, and down from there. If its a ticky-tak warning point but I can still visit the site, feel free to bump my appeal way down in priority (my punishment might expire making the appeal moot anyway)
  9. I vote 2. The flip side of the "bottom of the roster" getting a chance to shine, which has been mentioned many times above, is this: Its not just a chance for the players. Its the fans who risk missing out on the next Terrell Davis or other players. In that sense, we the fans need the scrubs to show out, not just the scrubs themselves. It kills their ability to accurately poach guys I try to sneak onto my practice squad. No PS means no film.
  10. I think that same Jets poster said further downthread, in response to sane criticism of his attitude, something like "yeah, I know, but I still need at least one more day"
  11. Although Chilly talked about McNabb, he didnt really stress any similarities between McNabb and Allen, to support the general idea that QBs need 5 years (or 27 games according to Bill Walsh) before you know what you have. Kinda reads like a piece Chilly wrote long ago that can be brushed off every couple years to talk about Qb development in general.
  12. Here are the details of your subscription: Date: 09/12/2020 Subscription: $1.00 per month for the first 12 months. $7.99 due each month thereafter. Payment Information: Visa ending in 6650 as i said in the other thread I got $1 per month for 12 months. Maybe because i'm a new subscriber or something. This was the confirming email they just sent me.
  13. Thanks for the sneak peak. Just joined. I believe in giving value for value. They hit the sweet spot at the beginning of NFL season. But I got $1/month for 12 months.
  14. AFC: 1.Chiefs, 2. Ravens, 3.Bills, 4.Titans, 5.Colts, 6.Pitt, 7.NE WC: Ravens over NE. Bills over Pitt. Titans over Colts Div: Chiefs over Titans. Bills over Ravens Chiefs over Bills NFC: 1.Cowboys. 2.Saints. 3.Vikings. 4.Niners, 5.Eagles, 6.Bucs, 7.Seahawks WC: Seahawks over Saints. Bucs over Vikings. Niners over Eagles Div: Seahawks over Cowboys. Niners over Bucs Niners over Seahawks SB: Chiefs over Niners
  15. My biggest takeaway from this is the game against the then Redskins. Everybody was open. Been saying for a couple weeks. Washington is . . . On The Clock.
  16. If I could choose to get Covid the day after we win the SB, I'd consider it. Otherwise I'd hate to die and not get my payoff first.
  17. Marrone. But only if he is messing up the tank by winning games. Gase wont be the first one fired. because Jest dont need to tank for Trevor. If I were betting money it would be Patricia first.
  18. Dr. James Andrews would like to remind NBC about 716 times about JJ Watt
  19. Tenn. They remind me of the Niners, in that they are built to last. Last season doesnt feel like a fluke at all. This team is on the rise. Colts? nah. Rivers = noodle-armed gunslinger. bad combo. HOU has a qb and not much else. JAX is in tank mode.
  20. BUF 19 NJJ 10 Lotta field goals in this one. Bills will probably double them in yards from scrimmage but I'm still not sold that we have fixed the TD scoring problems. Lack of offseason will hurt here, even against a scrub defense. Gonna feel like a preseason game.
  21. Also, I like to use the first few picks on players I am pretty sure I will start every week of the season. Take a look sometimes at your final rosters compared to your draft. There's a lot of roster churn. If I take the BUF defense, I have a guaranteed non-injured non-covid top-flight 'player' for the whole season. I will never take them out of the lineup, and I'll never regret it. I think the FF term is "matchup-proof" because I dont need to know or care who they play against that week.
  22. Niners. I was impressed, and even emotionally moved, watching how they just steamroll opponents with that run game. It never felt gimmick-y. That's the kinda team that can have steady and constant success. I think SEA and ARZ will tie for second. Rams are gonna fall way off. Like 5-11. Goff isnt getting better. And every team in the league cant have a winning record during prediction season. Rams gonna eat lots of losses.
  23. wrt Brees decline, I think he has the edge in declining QBs because I think he is at peace that this is gonna be his final year, so he's going all out. (but while I think his mind is made up to retire, I dont think he will. He has too much left in the tank)
  24. Saints. I wanted to pick ATL because I think they are gonna surprise this year. 10/11 offensive starters are 1st round picks (for whatever that's worth). I think they are past the superbowl meltdown and are gonna play loose this year. But the tie goes to the Saints based on a much better (but still not great) backup QB situation. Schaub is one of the better backup QBs in the league, but I'd rather have Jameis and Hill.
