  1. I know this is a longshot, but I think the Bills should really try trading for Asante SamuelPeyton Manning. Our pass rush quarterback play has been brutal for a long time now, which has allowed prevented alot(sic) of big plays in the secondary, and the pass rushprotection, on paper, will improve minorly(sic) at best this year. Buffalo is looking at moving Kyle Williams Eric Wood to defensive endcenter, and the idea of moving DT to DE offensive linemen has blown up in our faces with recent experiments-see Marcus StroudLangston Walker. The do-backfield is mediocre at best! Drayton Florence Fitz is probably our best DQB, Leodis McKelvin Brown is looking more-and-more like a bona fide bust, Terrence McGee Thigpen used to be a really good corner QB but he's beginning to be pretty injury-prone. Our second-bestDQB is probably Reggie CornerBrown, which says a lot... I say send Lee Evans, Roscoe Parrish and a 5th Round pick to get SamuelManning. We need him, and, he knows Tom Brady's tendancies very well from his New England daysplayoff games. Thoughts?
  2. We ought to be able to shut them down with 12 players on the field...
  3. this guy has a 50/50 chance of making it past the first round of cuts - 10% chance of making it past the second round of cuts, and a 2% chance of making the roster. Everyone responsible for picking him is gone now. He will be gone soon as well.
  4. Would Merriman quit screwing around and hook a brother up with some serious steroids? None of that cream and clear **** - he needs some flat out, hard core horse steroids - double dose - stat! This boy isn't strong enough to do the laundry, much less rush the passer.
  5. Was he selected 8th overall?
  6. Abandoning our own free agents is a dangerous concept. I see all these posts about who we should pick up in free agency, and what everyone forgets is that we can't make free agents come here. Even if we offer more money than everyone else we still can't make them come here. Jenkins played for the world champions last year - you think he's going to choose Buffalo if he has offers from winning teams, even if they are a few hundred thousand less? Until the reputation and results of this team improve, we will be stuck competing for the free agents who have to choose between offers from Cleveland, Jacksonville and Buffalo. Unfortunately, we are a second class franchise at the moment. We can't pay enough for top tier free agents to come here. Buddy looking at free agents numbered 70 on down is smart - why waste time on guys who won't come here anyway. Improve the team, draft well and win a few games, and maybe we can shoot for free agent #40 next year.

  8. Looks like she booted that kick wide LEFT.
  9. I boycott the preseason every year.
  10. Can't believe no one has said this yet: Ralph is cheap!
  11. Who says he made them? I am thinking Ralph and Dickie J. may have had a significant voice in some of those first round flops. If Modrak is done, he may be willing to let the cat out of the bag.
  12. Exactly. Yes. I don't think it was a matter of Nix finally making the decision to can Modrak, I think it was Nix finally convincing Ralph that it was time to fire Modrak. Modrak has been Ralph's boy, his trusted confidante, for the last five years. That's why Ralph made him a VP and part of the three headed monster. I think Nix has now replaced Modrak as the trusted one. Ralph OK'd the firing, and Buddy determined the time frame. The interesting thing now is what will come out of Modrak's mouth. If he is done, and retires, the truth may come out as to who was pulling the trigger on all those awful draft picks.
  13. Hippa explained Google is your friend. Otherwise, feel free to guess about things you may have heard about once. Hippa is waived as part of a contract and as part of the medical exam that accompanies these pre-draft visits. No doctor-patient relationship is formed by these pre-draft examinations anyway.
  14. You need to making sweeping unsupportable generalizations, insult people, and claim other posters are racist?
  15. ONE person agreed with you about cheating or attempting to cheat - it wasn't from his experience as a student - it was someone at a book publisher - who even knows if it was students - or people who prepare study guides - or people who sell information to students - the other said he wrote what he thought his professor wanted to get better grades. Then there was the other 8 or so who strongly disagreed with your premise. I will give you the benefit of the doubt and say that 80% of this VERY small sample disagree with you. Don't let that stand in the way of you continuing to claim you are right. Why do you keep claiming that "if it wasn't widespread there wouldn't be so much discussion of it"? YOU are the one who brought it up - and the one who keeps making the accusation despite 80% of the people responding strongly disagreeing with you! If everyone at your college cheated that's your problem. If you did nothing to address it that is also your problem. Don't use your personal failings to cast a cloud on the degrees honorably obtained by the other members of this board. You still fail to appreciate how your ridiculous claim reflects on all the college and grad school graduates who are members of this board. I guess that should come as no surprise.
  16. Because you rationalized it, and continue to rationalize it. Maybe it was rampant at the institution of "higher" learning you attended, but don't denigrate real colleges and universities and everyone else on this board who actually earned their degrees. Backpedal all you want now, but your statement was much broader than "cheating happens in college". You claimed: "ALL college students cheat at some point on something, if not regularly. Even the "smart kids". Actually, ESPECIALLY the smart kids. Thats what makes them smart. Ask 100 college students what college prepares you for the most, and I bet most of their answers will be along the lines of "How to stroke the system". You insulted every college and grad school graduate on this board. Worse yet, you questioned their character. I will give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you didn't perceive it that way, since that kind of slander only means something to someone who has character.
  17. Spoken like someone who never went to college. This couldn't be further from the truth.
  18. Draft him to do what, play cornerback? He's a gimmick player in the NFL, and not a very good one at that.
  19. What are you looking at?

  20. Are you kidding me? Gold is about $1,500.00/ounce. Silver is under $40.00/ounce. In modern times, silver has always been the metal of choice for dental work. Gold teeth are purely a fashion statement, and one meant to imply wealth at the same time. And by the way, you don't fill a cavity by installing a gold tooth or gold caps or gold covers. If the tooth is decayed that badly it is pulled.
  21. The things you mention are tangible. Intangibles are things that can't be measured, like understanding an NFL defense, what they are trying to do to you, and what to do about it, all before getting crushed by the defense. As you say, he has never played in anything approaching a pro style offense. Oh, and he has major character issues. I think you are misreading Ralph's quote - he is comparing Newton's measurable to all the other athletic quarterbacks who can't get it done when the bullets are live - and questioning whether Newton has the intangibles - just like every other objective analyst is doing.
  22. Hah Hah Hah! Wishful thinking! Apparently you didn't read this gem: And here is what Wilson had to say about speculation that the Bills will select Auburn quarterback Cam Newton with the draft's No. 3 pick: "Well, he's very athletic. But it's the intangibles. We've had a number of quarterbacks that could throw the ball 100 yards and right into your stomach. But then they got into games and threw it 100 yards into the other team's stomach. There's time. We'll learn more about him. Just like with this labor agreement, you just can't predict.''
  23. Maybin should get in on this - maybe he could pad the stats with a couple more tackles that way.
