  1. This roster is 16-0 with a top 10 QB, but the same QB as last year will actually make the roster worse than the 6-10 team.

    Makes perfect sense....

Just go down the roster position by position in comparison to the Pats, Seahawks, 49's, Saints, Denver,...

Sure some positions on other teams have great players, but not as many good players. We even have a few great ones. Move the QB from Pats, Seahawks, 49's, Saints, or Denver to Buffalo... and I dare you to say this is not a championship team. :bag:

  2. This roster with our QB's... 4-12

This roster with a top 10 QB.... 16-0.

    This roster with a 11- 15th Ranked QB. 9-7 maybe 10-6

The part the gets me is, management knew this too. Yet they did not even draft a QB just in case Manuel flamed out. Who would not trade our current 2nd Round pick for any other drafted QB available at the time.

  3. If the Raiders and the CFL did not sign him.....

Even Arena football didn't bite. You would think they would sign him just for a marketing gimmick for a team. Better for marketing than shooting t-shirts out of a cannon. Quick call Bon Jovi... he is an owner of an Arena league team!!! I hear he is the market for screwing up PR moves!

Heck, even the women's underwear league didn't buy in.... They have better QB's.... or so I hear. :flirt:

  4. Oh and by the way.... just do the math on this. All teams have at least 10 college scouts and 2 NFL personal scouts plus Asst GM's and GM's... that do nothing all day but look at players. So, at least 350 professionals (at the top of their profession)... are totally wrong in the analysis of Tebow and the Bills will strike gold? :bag:

The CFL did not even sign him. Case closed.

  5. Great idea. Tebow has failed everywhere he has been in the NFL. Lets add him to a team that has a 14 year playoff drought. :wallbash:

And don't give me the Denver success. The Bills defense undressed him as an NFL QB and that defense was not good.

If Tebow was good 28 other teams would have tried out him too, as a #2 or #3 QB. Plus he comes with his own circus act and media.

  6. The trust wants huge money and they will get it. The question is... another 100 million worth hurting RCW legacy? RCW worked a lifetime for the Bills...

Would Mary (who by all accounts is very classy) run for the money?

If I were Pegulia... I tell the trust that field house name will be changed to Ralph and Mary Wilson field house and each parking lot will be named for the children. Ralph's office will be closed and never used again and leave everything just like he left it.

  7. NDA's are very common in extremely large business deals. Anyone with big business knowledge and is a Billionaire has done deals like this before. NDA's does not deter anyone wanting to own an NFL team from bidding or buying say... a huge multinational company. if your a billionaire, this is not your 1st dance with confidentiality.

The (only) three bidders emerged is because everyone else who would bid, wants the team out of Buffalo and knows that politicians, the state, county, and the league (maybe) will make their lives complete hell if they try to move it. Lawsuits from every corner would hit the new owners.

Ask yourself....Would you want to fight corrupt Gov. Cuomo and "Up Chuck" Schumer... plus half a dozen Congressmen and State Senators? All of whom have made thinly veiled threats to the potential new owners. Schumer will turn the IRS on them... he done it before.

So the big money guys will just wait until the next NFL sale... it is that simple.

Add in the cost of relocation and stadiums... Yep 3 bidders seems just about right.

    1. Trump is not afraid of a financial exam (he has done tons of deals) and turning his life upside down is not a problem, he loves the attention. He is not moving the team... and he is not afraid of Cuomo and Up Chuck
    2. Pegulia has just done this dance with the Sabres. Local guy and rich fan.
    3. JBJ is desperate to own a team and made no secret about it. If he fails here, it sets him up for the next run at a team. This is totally worth it for him to bid.

  8. I think the $870m figure is their their worth... And paying more wouldn't change their worth...

    If you buy a $20,000 car for $30,000- it's still a $20,000 car...

Unlike a car, however, the worth of this organization will eclipse the purchase price, which is expected by multiple sources to be in excess of $1B

Bad analogy. A car loses value and can not make up.

  9. Pegula's bid protects Ralph's legacy. Mary Wilson and family will be super rich, plus it will keep Ralph's legacy alive. The extra 100 million or so will not matter at this point.

If an outside group came in and offered 2 billion, she would have to think about it. Pegula's bid is a safe bet for the trust, the Bills, and the NFL.

It is all just formalities now.

Hey Buffalo!!!... Time to start being confident!!! Downtown is coming back. The Sabres have a plan. Some industries are moving to Buffalo. Banks in WNY are growing. Medical campus is awesome.... Stop being negative. Time to flip the switch!

  10. Great point! I would add that we haven't had a DC this smart in a long while.

    Mike Pettine, 2013 (under Marrone)

Other than Edwards and Wanny. That is not a a bad list.
