Buffalo will be in the mix.. we have the extra 2nd round pick. But the cap cost will be way too high. It could happen. Not holding my breath.

The 2024 Fisher Price Buffalo Bills Little People sets are out
Iraq Vet replied to Just Jack's topic in The Stadium Wall
I honestly can not believe there is a post about this on TBD. When I joined TBD years ago I thought "this is great serious football fans talking football".... boy was I wrong. LOL!! Bills mafia in general is nuts, (don't get me wrong I love it). We are like not like the Raiders Nation, we have class, don't bunch us in with those with those psychopaths'. I am just as crazy as you all are. My girlfriend has a concerning elderly family member issue she has to deal with in Tampa this week and next week. I had the balls to suggest we extend things down there to see the Bills in Miami. She is seriously considering pulling the Miami/Bills game into the mix even though it is 4.5 hours away from Tampa!! We are looking at flights from Buffalo during squish the fish week in Miami. Sure....we will handle the family drama just fine, but why not add in a Bills game... 🤪 This is not what sane people do... maybe my comments about Raider fans being psychopaths' was a little premature. -
McBEAN, DON'T DO IT!!!.... Save our draft picks and cap space for 2025. We need to let this play out... This is not a SB year... It will be a a fun year though. But next year, lay it on the line! We need to know if the defense is ok with all of the loses and replacements. We need to know about these WR's. What if some of this works? Then you can be really focus in 2025 in filling the holes using cap space and trading.

Von has a massive ego, unfortunately that ego told him @ 34 years old, he was fully healed and could still get to the QB... he was still in the process of healing last year. I love this.... I want my DE to have a huge ego. Nearly all HOF DE's had massive egos. It is similar to great QB's they have monster egos. JA has a massive ego.. he thinks he can throw any distance, against any DB, in any weather. There are a lot of very good DE's like Groot, Aaron Schobel, Chris Kelsey that had an occasional great year. But they did not have the huge ego to be HOF great. Bubba Smith, Bruce Smith, Mean Joe Green, Deacon Jones, Reggie White, Michael Strahan, Lawrence Taylor, Howie Long.... all had huge egos. My expectation is Von will be a 9-11 sack guy this year if fully healed.

Total contract value numbers are all smoke and mirrors. Every great player breaks the "record" when it is their turn for an extension. But then the average per year is high but reasonable because of the cap. The next extension for Allen will be for $500 million plus total for 7or 8 years with a ton of it backloaded. People will go "wow, but deserved". Allen makes millions more in endorsements per year. He is no dummy, he will want his next contract to look like the next big wow thing.... but he knows that he needs good players ($$) around him so it will be CAP reasonable per year. Tom Brady knew this.... Mahomes knows this...All smart super stars know this. You don't get to the Hall of Fame, Super Bowls, Stanly Cups, World Series, and millions in endorsements and jobs after your career without great players ($$$) and coaches around you. Playing the long game with contracts will in fact make him even more money over his lifetime.

Tickets to the draft is generally free. We need to pay for a stadium. I am begging the Bills and the NFL to sell tickets to the draft here. Please keep it cheap and reasonable. Then lower the PSL fees with the profits from the draft. Who would not pay $15-$20 bucks to go to the draft here? Then sell beer and food all profits go to the stadium build. I know the Stadium will be completed by then. But debt will be huge, the interest on the debt will be massive. Pegula's don't have 1 Billion in cash just laying around in a pile like Scrooge McDuck, They get loans based net worth... that is why there are high price PSL's. Bars, Hotels, and restaurants will make millions that weekend. The low ticket price will not stop anyone from showing up. Season ticket holders and people that have tickets from the previous season should be free. Most of these people will still buy beer/food and Bills stuff. You could even do a 3 day pass for $25 bucks or $10 dollars per day. Detroit draft had 775,000 in attendance... 775K times $20 average spend on tickets is $15.5 million. That lowers a lot PSLs. Also add $10 one time tax on hotel rooms that weekend. This money goes to the State and country for their spending on the stadium. As long as the draft tickets are cheap... we can pulling millions for our stadium debt from fans from outside of Buffalo. We Bills mafia must push this really hard!

Marquez Valdes-Scantling meeting with the Bills (UPDATE: Signed)

I generally like Beane's moves... even when he makes misses. I see what he is trying to do. HOWEVER, on this one... I think this is a waste of time and resources. He has had some locker room issues (I thought). Although, McBeane will cut him so fast if he is a jerk or is a locker room issue. -
What are your draft plans? (Menu, setting, etc)
Iraq Vet replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
I am going out to my personal heated outdoor bar. large TV and at least one laptop open.... Pizza, wings, Beer, cigars, friends, and laughter. -
Nope... we are moving to a Full 3-4. With Miller as a full time rush LB. We are going to draft the largest DT in the draft to be a nose. 😜🍻

I agree... frankly there should be a age limit when it is under -10 degrees. But this is America and you have right to make bad decisions....

Thanks you... I personally love Muck Boots... kind of ugly. But they are serious cold weather boots. I literally walk in small streams and puddles in the winter and I don't care... bone dry. But do you want style or be warm? 🤪 https://www.muckbootcompany.com/mens-snow-winter-boots/

I don't want to be mean... but modern high tech clothing and battery operated clothing, foot & hand warmers.... There is no excuse for this. You have to prepare for weather that is worse then predicted. I spent many years in a Military cold weather unit. I have been trained for extended cold weather exposure. My rules for people in my group that go with me for games: Assume the stadium is 10 degrees cooler then the thermometer. Why? The concrete literally sucks heat way. The seats in the 300 level are metal. That sucks the heat from the body. The entire stadium is a natural refrigerator, when it gets below 40 degrees. Yes, just at 40 degrees... it is like 30 once inside in side the Stadium. If you get wet and cold...it is a life threatening condition. Staying dry is super important. Once wet, you will lose heat 3 to 5 times faster... or more. Do a little self test of this...Splash a bit water on your face and step outside today for a minute or 2. You will see how fast you will get cold. Exposed skin with -10 degrees wind-chill will damage your skin under just a few minutes. Cover up. Bring 2x or 3x the amount of hand/foot warmers that you think you need. They never last as long as you think they will. One of those companies even have body patches. Get them. Amazon sells them. Also, someone in your group will forget to bring them. Help out people in your row. Mafia sticks together. Going to a game in January is not about style... it is about warmth. Yes my hunting clothes has no Bills colors (except my hat). But I am never ever cold. Layers... layers... layers... spend the money this spring and buy heavy weight long underwear. It is on sale. The new stuff is pretty thin. Get the really warm stuff. Lower the alcohol intake. I am not saying don't drink. Just lower your normal intake a little bit. Being drunk you lose heat very fast and you body really does not react to the cold. Your temporarily fooled into feeling warm (that does not last any way). Get serious waterproof cold weather winter boots at least 400g of insulation (I wear 1000g)... wearing sneakers is just dumb. The parking lots always have water and mud. You must keep your feet dry. For $100-$200 investment, you might save getting toes amputated. That doctor bill will run in the thousands of dollars. For single guys (or girls) being toeless because you were dumb and not prepared is not attractive. You see player without sleeves, don't be fooled. They have very high tech stuff underneath and head right back to the warming beach a lot. They are not exposed at the same level the fans are. Plus they are expending a ton of energy... keeping them warm. Notice the heavy jackets they put on. Lots of those are heated. Just prepare and even in the coldest game you will be actually warm. I actually try to be the warmest person in my group. One person in the group has to be prepared properly just in case of an emergency. The warm person can think clearly. I know that most experienced Bills fans know all of this... but I might have just helped a 1st timer that is not from Buffalo at a January game.

I love this.... We were getting old and slow.... Poyer gone, Neal gone, Hines gone, Hyde gone, Morris gone... don't drag it out. Rip the band aid off NOW!!!! Clean up the cap NOW. We are old and slow in safeties. This does not mean these guys are not in our hearts forever... but we need to get aggressive to clean up the cap.... Constant restructure and extensions will have to come due eventually. Sorry, but we have ton of draft pics and we were quite old. Kelly, Thomas, Reed and Smith (among others) were all getting old and expensive so over 2 years we got rid of them all. We have been through this before... except Josh is still here with a top flight TE, WR, RB, 2 LBs and a solid OL.... all in or near their prime.... and Josh is not Todd Collins. This is going to be painful, maybe only 10 wins this year... but worth it! Because in 2025 we can reload completely. You cant keep playing the cap game.... you have to get younger and faster....
