  1. If the db's play ten yards off the ball while our d-line doesn't put any pressure on Brady, I sadly see us losing by at least 3 touchdowns. I hope I am wrong and Maybin and Schobel can get pressure and McLovin can cover Moss with Brady being rusty but sadly I don't see it happening. Chris in Syracuse
  2. At first I was against the move but now I can see the potential. He may end up getting some NFL draft consideration. He is still raw but I can't think of any other collegiate QB with more Raw talent. (I must admit I'm a little bias) Chris in Syracuse
  3. That is a very splendid idea. I think it is the right call to promote Bell. I want to see more athleticism on our line. I think our offense will improve. By how much is anyone's guess. Chris in Syracuse

  5. It really makes you wonder what Dick Jauron does in his offseason and how much input/knowledge he has on that side of the ball. Great coaches are innovative and constantly learning. I don't get the feeling that Jauron is doing either. I really like him but reading that article just makes me more concerned about our coaching staff and the huge gap between the Billd and the Pats.
  6. I just read this morning that he still isn't practicing but Jauron seemed to indicate he would start to practice by Wednesday. There were several players held out. "Bell continues to nurse a sore back. Johnson suffered a thigh contusion in the final preseason game last Thursday. Florence has been out the past three weeks with a sprained knee. Fine is sidelined with an injured hamstring. Jauron said he is optimistic that all the players will return to practice by Wednesday." * * * As for starting I would be very surprised if that happened 5 days before week one. If Walker struggles and Bells back improves you may see a drastic change like that after a bye week. Back injuries can be terrible especially for big men, that is why they are really taking the time and treatment for Bell the same way they took so much time for TO and his toe.
  7. That is the funniest post I have ever read on this board!
  8. I was neither dropped nor malnourished. I just read a ESPN article that says the coaching think Bell should start over Walker. Like I said I really like the guy and don't want to see him cut. I am looking more at the business end of this. If Bell is able to practice this upcoming week and the coaches choose to start him over Walker, what do we do with Walker? I just can't see a big contract like that sitting on the bench, but do we break up the continuity of the line by moving him back to RT. In order to dress for game day if you are not starting you have to be able to play guard or tackle. That potentially would leave him inactive because they only dress 7 lineman on Gameday. Kinney was signed to back up guard and center and Chambers is our back up guard and tackle guy. If you are the coaches and you decide Bell should be our starter what do you logically do with Walker? Since we on the board know so much maybe we can solve this paradox.
  9. I just can't see a $25M player sitting on the bench. If Bell beats him out does he switch over to RT? Does Butler go back to guard? Does Levitre go to the bench? It doesn't make much sense. I am sorry to say it cause I genuinely like the big guy but if Bell beats him out, he will not be on the opening day roster. Thoughts?
