  1. Gentlemen's bet with a Chiefs fan. Other than that, I may watch some of the game if there is a close game with 5 minutes left. If I do make a bet, it would be the over on how many times they show Swift during the broadcast.
  2. Not sure why this one popped up recently. Kudos for a thread from 2020 being available. In regard to Ryan Fitzpatrick, let's keep it simple. Sick beard, funny guy, and a highly successful individual. Definitely outplayed his draft status and an all-time fun Bills guy. Bills Wall of Fame?....Sure. NFL Hall of Fame...No. The Hall already has a lot of very good players in it that don't belong (very good is very good but not great). Fitzpatrick was a good player, but let's set aside fandom's myopic perspective. Fitzpatrick is not going to the Hall of Fame.
  3. Methinks that I do not care at all about the Patriots Coaching staff.
  4. Absolutely! Win one Lombardi. That's it. 1. Cut fat 2. Extend Josh 3. Trade for DE, DT, WR, and CB 4. Those you can't trade, get one in FA As for me, get me Dexter Lawrence/Justin Simmons as a DT. Get Crosby or Garrett, though I like Crosby's projected price point better. Get Courtland Sutton or Garrett Wilson to replace Amari and solidify the WR room. If any of those 3 combined can be had for some firsts, seconds, and some other lower picks, go for it!
  5. I would prefer someone like Courtland Sutton for our WR room.
  6. Answer: 1. The Bills have a top 2 QB that covers a lot of weaknesses 2. We finally have an above average running game 3. Consistency with our OL coupled with investing in it and a lack of injuries has given Buffalo a solid offensive line. 4. The Bills are an opportunistic defense. The coaches maximize the CB/Safety talent, but as a whole, there is not a lot of talent. 5. We have pretty good LB's, but the undersized 2 LB scheme does not usually help our pash rush, run defense, or pass coverage as much as we need. 6. The front office has generally drafted poorly on the DL, or in their developing, trading, or FA the last 7 years. 7. The Bills have done a bad job in maximizing the WR room. Sure, Diggs was great but a headcase. Shakir was a hit. Cooper and Samuel significantly underperformed thus far, and Coleman has potential but so far is umproven. 8. Beane and McDermott get too much credit for the Bills overall success of wins. That belongs to Allen's talent, the OL, and finally a running game, and a division that gives us 4-5 wins fair easily. Remember, McDermott is the defensive guy. 9. Beane and McDermott do not get enough credit for improving the culture, consistency, and continuity of Buffalo becoming a playoff caliber/above average team. Bottom line is Bills are a top 4-10 team each year. They overachieve, and kudos for that. Rosterwise, the team is a top 12-16 roster as it relates to talent. QB-A OL-A- RB-B+ WR-C TE-C ST-C- DL-D+ LB-C+ CB-B S-C Coaching: McDermott is likeable. He is good. He may get us a ring. The challenge is he may be too good to replace, but he may not good enough to get us over the hump.
  7. I feel better. Hopefully, the FO and McDermott are put on notice that they need to be playing for the Lombardi next season. Otherwise, they should be done. Bills need to trim the fat to pay the right guys to extensions and open up space to upgrade/replace the DE/DT/WR/CB spots. Brady was good but predictable in playoffs. Not sure if there is a DC upgrade over Babich, but some philosophical tweaks and 3rd down big stops are necessary. That's on McDermott also.
  8. Yes, in this coming year 2025 or at latest 2026.
  9. I would keep Alec Anderson for tackle depth and he fits well in the 6 OL package. I would keep Ty Johnson. I would keep Mack Hollins on a 2 year deal for him to be our 5th receiver behind (someone we bring in or draft, Shakir, Samuel, and Coleman). I would keep Ferguson at LS unless someone else is just as good but cheaper. Time to get a Pro Bowl level DE, and then a solid DE prospect for cheap, a 6'3 330 true NT, a WR with upside with 1st or one of the 2nd round picks, or a trade that is not going to cost $20+million, and then competitive CB/Safety depth. Anyone else can go: Miller, Cooper, Douglas, many of the other DE/DT backups/rotation pieces.
  10. I am not sure why there is a debate on this topic. Here are the facts. 1. Shakir is a good/very good receiver, but he is not a #1. 2. The Bills do have some fairly good pieces in Coleman, Higgins, and Samuel. 3. Regardless of one's opinion on Shakir, we need another quality receiver in this draft with one of our top 3 picks and/or a trade. We probably do not get a #1 receiver in awhile as there are only about 8-12 of them at a time.
  11. 1. Double what Chiefs are paying Zebras 2. Ban National Media Coverage 3. Full-scale surveillance of Goodell this week 4. Block Taylor Swift's Social Media platforms 5. Cancel the Kelce's podcast ****And, it would probably be helpful to make more 3rd down stops on Kermit.
  12. Edge Rusher is a priority after the season. Get rid of Miller and let Epenesa walk. 3 year deal for Rousseau at top 10-12 DE money but not higher than that. First 3 picks probably need to from the DE/DT/WR spot. Rest of draft: depth at CB/Safety, a versatile backup OL to grow, and BPA!
  13. Despite two teams with prolific offenses, I think it is lower scoring. Bills 24 Ravens 20
  14. Lions RB's (Bills Run Defense)😪 Jared Goff (with no D-Line pressure)🤕
  15. Man, sounds like some crappy gifts considering your time, heart & soul, and financial investment. At least you have season tickets though. Hope you will be rewarded with a belated gift in early February!
  16. The Lions are a great team. The Bills have a good team. But, as long as we have Superman, the Bills can win against better unless McDermott's clock issues and our defense explodes like Krypton sending us too far away from a chance to win.
  17. Not unless he wins a Super Bowl! That is always the correct answer.
  18. This is it. To win MVP, it is just as much about giving reasons why someone else should not win it over Allen. The case against Lamar is the Ravens not winning their division. If Ravens win their division and are a top 2-3 seed with his stats (not a Lamar fan, but he is still impressive overall), he still has a legitimate and fair argument for MVP. Bills win their division, finish 1 or 2 in AFC, Ravens don't win their division and Allen stays under 10 ints with similar passing yards and similar passing/rushing touchdowns the last 6 games, he is MVP.
  19. Bills 20 Chiefs 23
  20. At this stage with injuries and a competitive AFC, glad to get a win. The bye week can't come soon enough with the injuries, nicks, and bruises, and some erratic play that needs some fine tuning. KC will be a good measuring stick before some recovery time and coaching and player adjustments. Hopeful Things 1. Getting Coleman, Cooper, and Defense more healthy 2. Stacking wins even when the team ebbs and flows Things that Need Work 1. Clean UpPenalties...especially on the offensive line. There was one drive where the Bills had like 3 penalties (Torrence, Knox, and another player) 2. Fortunately, Colts were down, but we gotta stop the run or at least be a middle of the park run defense. Any good running team is a tough matchup for us. 3. Brady and Allen need to rely on the run more. About 7-10 more carries for Cook/Davis would have been better, especially when Allen is a little off. Allen left too many yards and more manageable first downs get away. Resting up and some tweaks with play calling and reinforcing disciplined football can't come soon enough despite a gritty "W" today.
  21. Ravens for a loss. First, it gives breathing room for seeding. Second, Jackson a little banged up is good. Third, hope it is low scoring and Jackson and Burrow are just average to boost Allen's MVP odds.
  22. Buffalo 27 Colts 17
  23. I have heard his name in at least a dozen posts over the last 5 or so years. He must be signed.😀 While we are talking about players frequently mentioned historically on this forum, it is appropriate to now bring up, Zack Ertz? 🙊
