I think it is lower, but he will get two years with some bonus opportunities. 2 year and $26 million with escalators that can pay him up to $16 million per year.

Maybe a PS guy signing. I like that Beane continues to look for potential upgrades and depth. Still would love to see Mike Evans playing for the Bills.

My reasons for optimism are fairly simple. The Bills have Josh Allen, the best fan base, a solid culture, and a top 5 team overall. They know how to win their division. They have had the experience of the highs and lows of playoff battles. My reasons for pessimism are also fairly simple. Will Beane, McDermott, and the team play to its ability for 60 straight minutes when the playoff pressure is on? Will Beane make that one move for another WR to make us super scary on offense or one difference-making DE unto Miller returns to keep the other offense slightly uncomfortable at times?

One topic of mine that has involved in the opposite direction is Special Teams. Guys like Tasker made a difference in multiple facets and Special Teams gunners, blockers, and tacklers made a team. For the life of me, I have come to believe that McDermott believes that every team is required to have a handful of players that do nothing for you. Most of these players are what we call "Special Teams" aces. The Bills have had few of these in actuality, yet they seem required to give a roster spot each year to Taiwan Jones.

Interesting post topic. Thanks. My thoughts on going for it on 4th down have changed over time. I currently believe that if you have an above average offense and your at the 50 yard line or on the other team's side of the field, I would recommend going for it a lot more than when I first started watching and playing football in the late 80s.

McDermott is a good coach. The criticisms like others have said have merit to them. I would really like to see him be more aggressive on defense and find someone to mentor Dorsey if he likes him as his OC. He has a couple of hurdles to make that are huge. It is what separates a good coach from a great coach to a legendary coach.

Although it is a tough schedule, playing Cincy, KC, Philly, Dallas, and an expected improved division will certainly be good for the team to become battle tested and get a sense of where they are at prior to the playoffs.

Bills look good overall. It's mainly staying healthy, getting a good start in the division, and executing more consistently throughout the season and hitting the playoffs playing their best football. Another proven edge rusher would be ideal. I'm fine with RB, DT (for this year). We will see if McDermott calling the defense makes the loss of Edmunds less impactful than we may currently think/believe. Let's get these rookies going and hope this draft class produces some starters and quality depth with cheaper contracts.

Nick Foles would be a more talented QB than K. Allen or M. Barkley. I like that he has won big games and that he is a big and strong QB like Allen. Obviously, K. Allen is a close friend and Barkley knows the system. Would not feel comfortable with anyone but #17 leading the team, yet Foles has shown to be reliable to win games when thrust into starting off the bench. Wondering if bringing Foles in for due diligence is the best call or not mess with the Bromance of Josh and his buddies.

We have more depth generally as a roster. This is a positive. We are a top 6 team right now. To Do List 1. Sign Leonard Floyd 2. Trade a 3rd, two 6 rounders and either Oliver, an extra OL guy, or one of our cheaper WR's for Mike Evans. 3. Get a large pool of undrafted free agent OT's and hope that someone can challenge/replace Brown, Quessenberry, and Doyle 4. Cut expensive backup pieces, that either are fringe roster players or can open up cap space. Do these 4 things and have Dorsey take a course on using your TE's and RB's effectively and Bills should be in AFC Championship Game again.

Like him. Was rooting for the Wright kid or Rick's out of Alabama, but this was my favorite pick out of Rounds 3-7.🙂

Great question and thought! Obviously we are not in the GM side of things or "in the know," but I remember thinking that the Texans were overdrafting for JJ Watt based off of things I read and what I heard on sports talk/radio shows.

I think the Eagles had a great draft. No doubt that Carter is a knucklehead, but his talent is legit, and he is going to a team with solid players already and a winning culture. Add in Nolan Smith, Ringo, and then some guys who were productive players in college, I think they had a great draft. I would give our Bills an "A" for the first 2 rounds and a "C" for rounds 3-7 at first glance.

Beane seems to have a fetish for positions. One year it was defensive ends. We are in the too light to play linebacker fetish, and we have started the “get 15 OG’s and hope 4 are above average.” I hope next year he picks 3 DT’s that are 330lbs+

Hopefully Beane moves one of these guys for a pick next year. And, maybe we find a serviceable tackle after training camp cuts and UDFA.

Yes...Josh Allen is better than Jim Kelly, but these Bills are not close enough to comparing better offenses. Kelly, Thomas, Lofton, Reed, K. Davis, Hull, Ballard and Wolford is much stronger than... Allen, Diggs...and a few people with potential

I like this player a lot, but he was a reach. 5th rounder. Not a LB or a Safety. He's basically Bernard. Nice backup, ST player and could start if the defense changes to have 330lbs DT's like the Mazi Smith kid out of Michigan. Trading up for Simpson would have been worth it, or trading down for a pick. If not a true LB, then I think Wypler or a few other players would have been better selections.

Yes! Best OL available and improves the whole line. Solid A pick. Now...get our linebacker and add depth.

Bergeron, Dexter, or Drew Sanders. I love Steve Avila and like Branch and Joey Porter Jr, but these three guys will likely be gone by pick #50
