  1. As others have pointed out, we now these three hardened players on the OL. How bout a nickname for this unit? Maybe "Buffalo Rising"?
  2. except the Bills. BenchBledsoe you have interfered with the plan here. What's meant to happen is that some rose glassed poster puts forth some delusionally optimistic explanation for the bills continued failings and everyone else supports that explanation til they all can almost believe it.
  3. how many playoff games did the lions win with Barry Sanders?
  4. the scary thing is the implication that rw is intimately involved in draft decisions again this time. the more things change...
  5. an espn analyst last night likened one pick (not Spiller) to putting new tires on a POS car....but isn't that exactly what the bills have done? We already had at least v rated bridgestones (maybe not z rated michelins but who knows if thats what we bought) while we have chinese spare parts holding the suspension, transmission and drivetrain together. Nevermind the steering unit is shot and has been for years. Since "rebuilding" is itself a metaphor, the fix up of a junker car seems quite appropriate. Comments?
  6. huh? Calm, reasoned analysis with CONSENSUS among all 3 reporters that there were better choices in need areas. I don't see how this video supports your argument in any way.
  7. please cite an instance where he's been proved fundamentally wrong re Bills. Admittedly, it's not that hard to be right when you're consistently negative but he's still been right the vast majority of the time. If you are correct, are you agitating or just speaking the truth?
  8. Sullivan is right again ...this is Mcgahee redux. This is managements resignation to provide some excitement for what they think will be a bad team for the forseeable future. This is the antithesis of rebuilding.
  9. I justify it by its prevalence, cynical or not. ben rothlisbergers are not that unusual, especially in pro sports. I couldn't care less about your poltics
  10. I guess you better stop watching the NBA, PGA (remember Tiger?), MLB (perjury anyone) and, yes, the NFL. Did I mention you better get out of and stop watching the stock market or almost anything touching Wall Street?
  11. Please enlighten us plebs all knowing, all seeing, simple simon: When will the Bills make the playoffs: win a playoff game: win th SB, in the absence of this signing? We won't hold you to it.
  12. what's with the dualist thinking...why is it "either,or'...why not build through the draft AND try to get better in the short term with free agent signings. What ever happened to the idea of cagey veterans mentoring young rookies as a part of rebuilding. only reason I can conjure for not doing it is to save rw's money and I don't get Bills fans concern for this. BTW, things on this board sounded mighty different when we signed an aging receiver last year. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
  13. yeah. I'd much rather have Walter Mendenhall or Rodney Ferguson on the roster.
  14. this...but the question to me is : why is money still the highest priority when he's looking his mortality squarely in the face? That said, I bet they don't trade up to spend even more money if they believe a marketable name will be available at 9. Our best hope is that rw is under the weather thursday and can't participate.
  15. but ya gotta love the aggression and risk tolerance Holmgren has shown thus far...the NFL is a place where aggression is often rewarded. buddy and chan might have missed that chapter.
  16. uh huh. "Awhile", definition in Billspeak: until the talent becomes recognized and developed, the value and salary demands increase and the Bills refuse to pay market value to retain the talent.
  17. I thought I saw him in the dollar store buying vienna sausages and little debbie treats
  18. THAT is the point and so far, posters are avoiding it. Evans is more easily replaced than Peters yet we let him go and basically conceded a losing season. we're doing it again, signing practice squad players while divisional opponents sign all pros and many seem ok with that. expectations are ridiculously low. If quality isn't demanded, it's rarely received.
  19. ah, the omnipresent invocation of dan snyder. you all never mention teams that have succeeded with big name free agents on their roster. guess one copes using whatever mechanism works.
