The play calling was a bit vanilla, especially in the 2nd half, but i dont think that was because they were trying to hide their playbook from future teams. I think its more about trying to keep it simple for the 1st week, given all the changes we've had since last year. A whole new secondary, a whole new receiving corps. I think if they would've tried to open things up more & get 'creative', perhaps there would be missed assignments or penalties. I think starting things off slow & steady was the right move. Give the guys confidence & get the win. Overall nothing too crazy to get excited about this week, but a wins a win & like Mickey D said in the press conference: 'We're building for the future"

Jeremy Maclin (Agrees to 2 year deal with Ravens)
brianthomas replied to BillsDiehard's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I havent seen this posted yet but on NFL.com there is a video of Lesean McCoy saying he's been trying to recruit Maclin & that we "shouldnt be surprised if he ends up in Buffalo.". Here's the link to the interview if anyone is interested in seeing it: http://www.nfl.com/videos/buffalo-bills/0ap3000000813061/Maclin-to-Bills-Shady-says-Don-t-be-surprised -
Dieter Brock once thru a pass 93 yards in the air up in Calgary in the CFL. Heres an article that talks about him: https://www.si.com/vault/1985/08/19/622543/a-rifle-wrapped-in-an-enigma

True, i suppose one could say that they exist as long as people want to watch them, regardless of the reason. The reason why people in Buffalo have been searching for sites like this lately is because the games have been blacked out here. While the reason you stated is true for viewership abroad, so is the blackout reason for us locals. On its own, the NFL should change their blackout policy because it isnt fair for teams like buffalo that will have 60,000 fans in the stands and yet the game is not on tv. So back to my point, the NFL could take care of 2 issues at once, just by changing their policy. Us locals could watch the game on tv and they would have 10-30% less viewers online supporting pirated or relayed broadcasts, seems like a win win
-
My point about the blackout is that if the NFL changed their blackout policy for cities such as Buffalo, they wouldnt have to worry about people streaming the games because most people would be watching the game on TV instead. The NFL would then retain their viewership numbers, if not actually increasing them, and these sites would be less of an issue for them because we'd be watching the game on TV. But it would be absurd to think that the NFL would sign off on sites like this. If anything they would and have been coming after people that relay the games on the internet. I say that if the NFL changed their blackout policy, you wouldnt give people a reason to relay the games, they'd be on tv in the first place
-
i suppose one has to define ReBroadcast. Because what these sites do is post links to people like you or me who Relay the broadcast. The NFL still wont like it, but the person who relays the broadcast isnt making any money off of it. Perhaps the sites that post the links do with website traffic and advertisments. The NFL really should just reform their blackout policy and they'll take the high road and take care of both these issues at one shot.

After the websites went down, i found a working stream from that myp2p site that i posted. However you'll need a program to view the game called StreamTorrent. You can download the program here: http://www.softpedia.com/get/Internet/File-Sharing/Stream-Torrent.shtml Once installed, look at the names of the different channels out there. The name of the channel is VP23, hit play, wait a minute or two and now you have the Bills game.

For $29.95 you can get time warners internet with speeds of 25 megs down, 2 up. I use to work for Time Warner and imo, their internet blows verizon out of the water, based on cost, speeds and performance. Verizon's internet is running over antiquated phone lines, they dont have the whole area wired for FIOS yet, so even if they sell you FIOS service, it doesnt necessarily mean ur getting the TOP TIER FIOS speeds. Time Warners internet is so fast for me, that i watch most of my tv thru my internet. HD movies and TV over the net, screw watching it from a box that costs you $70 to $100 a month. I'd go with time warner and if u dont like it, just drop em. But watching these streams is just like TV, no choppiness or lag whatsover

Remember when CBS stopped carrying Bills games or some network like that? Well i found a website back then that has links to every sporting event in the world. Yeah, everything from baseball to the nfl to darts to rugby to water polo to whatever... Every sporting event that has a camera recording it in the world, even pay per view in indonesia, there's a link for it on this website. The website is kinda overwhelming at first, there's alot of information on it, and i would advise reading the faq section. There's a couple pieces of software, video players, that i would personally recommend installing if you wanted to watch events. But here is the specific part of their website that showed me the link to the bills game: http://www.myp2pforum.eu/threads/47914-Streaming-2010-NFL-Week-10 It is just 1 page of their extensive forums section. And its just for the NFL, here is the main page of the forums where u get an idea of the other sports u can watch: http://www.myp2pforum.eu/forum.php atdhe.net is cool, its easy, www.veetle.com is cool too, but for all my sporting needs, when u really need to find a working link, myp2p is the place to go Enjoy

the link i put up is working flawlessly and the resolution isnt that bad. I have the laptop connected to the tv and the picture is pretty clear. http://www.hiwarez.net/ch2/ Is it just me or have people posted working links of the game and yet people are still asking about it? Too bad this game is blacked out, we might win our only game this year and no one was around to watch it lol. Its almost fitting. GO BILLS! Trying not to be the worst team in professional sports.

This one is working for me: http://www.hiwarez.net/ch2/ and oh yeah... GO BILLS! lol

Yeah I wouldnt mind Troy Smith either. It seems that alot of players respect him & would support him & play for him on the field. I also agree that we should keep Brohm around too. I watched alot of games he played while he was in college & i think if he's given an opportunity to compete & make plays, with the right coaching he could succeed. I'd much rather keep him around then the other 2. And then with the draft, maybe you pick up a Lefevour or Skelton. I like Skeltons size & he has a rocket for an arm, something we havent seen in awhile. Lets hope for the best! lol

I'd actually rather take Jeff Garcia or & i cant believe i'm gonna say it, but even Michael Vick over Marc Bulger. They both have more mobility which, lets face it, these guys are gonna be runnin for their lives again, & they both have stronger arms then Bulger, and both would come alot cheaper then Bulger. I dont even want Vick here, but that just shows ya how desperately this team needs a quarterback thats at least halfway decent. Just give me a guy that can throw a 15 yard out pattern, is it really that hard?

Kelly: Move on from Edwards. Target Tebow. (linkage)
brianthomas replied to Lv-Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i think most bills fans and people around the league realize that Trent Edwards' day as a starting quarterback is over. But i dont agree with the selection of Tim Tebow. Why draft a player who has excelled running a style of offense that we wont ever run? Its like the talk of getting Vick to play here, it just wouldnt be a good fit. Plus Tebow has had an off year and in my opinion shouldnt even be in consideration for the Heisman this year. And im done with choosing quarterbacks from California or Florida or any other warm weather city. While Tebow is tough, I'd much rather see the Bills draft Tony Pike from Cincinatti. He's had a much better year, he's from a blue collar school and has accomplished more with less. At 6 feet, 6 inches tall and 225 pounds, and throwing for 23 touchdowns and 3 interceptions, he is getting compared to Big Ben and that suits fine with me. Another QB i'd be happy with is Sam Bradford. While his injury has moved him down in some draft boards, that might be perfect for the Bills considering where our draft selection will be. He'll prolly move down to us and we wont have to give away anything to move up the board to take a chance on a top tier QB. But But all this talk of drafting a quarterback in the 1st round is prolly nonsense because we'll just draft another DB. Go Bills -
ESPN Insider: TO a fit in Chicago?
brianthomas replied to BfloBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm a T.O. fan and always have been, even when he was playing in San Fran. Nobody was more excited to get T.O. here than i was. But now i feel bad for T.O., because the Bills suck so much that we cant even take advantage of him. The right thing to do for the franchise, and for the hall of fame receiver is to trade him. He deserves better, im sure when he spoke to his agent about the bills and he heard 7-9 for the past few years, im sure he thought he'd help get us over the hump to at least 8-8 or 9-7, now we're lucky if we're 5-11. Its not his fault we suck. Blame the front office, blame the gm, blame the coach. T.O. im sorry bro, sorry we ended your 186 game streak of catching at least 1 pass. Leave it to the Bills to screw it up The Bills are rebuilding, save the money, gain some draftpicks, and part ways with a Hall of Fame player that we were too crappy to use here. God we suck -
seriously? we're down by 3 points and it could be 40. How bad things have gotten that a 3 point deficit is an insurmountable lead? You gotta be kidding me Not only is Trent's first read a checkdown, but now even the running backs are checking down when they get the handoff. Shut it down, im done. Switching the channel to QVC because even that is more entertaining then watching this. Does anyone know if they show popwarner games on tv?

GripnRip Posted Today, 07:47 PM Classic case of "make asinine post and spend the day defending it to get my post count up".... lol, sorry but after reading this post i had to laugh at that one GO BILLS! -
wow, from everything ive read, our front office actually made a good pickup for once. Some are even saying we made out on the deal. When's the last time that happened? lol I like the pick, he's young, big, fast & smart. Welcome to Buffalo Jamon Meredith GO BILLS!

Live Broadcast of our Tailgate #1

im watching your stream now, good job guys! Tell the guy in the Kelly jersey to pass me a beer, lol. Enjoy the game, GO BILLS! -
i think its pretty weak of Leodis to press charges against these 2 16 year olds, i mean i wonder what kind of trouble he got into when he was young. We've all done stupid things when we were younger, but these kids dont deserve to be charged with a misdemeanor for spray painting his lawn. I mean they wrote some words on the freakin lawn, ITS GRASS! Grab a hose, mow the lawn, its freakin grass, and now these 2 kids are gonna have a record because what they said was right? lol, i dont condone in any way what the kids did, but they were smart enough not to do anything worse, like spray down his house or smash some windows yelling "McKelvin you suck". I'm sure their parents have made their lives complete hell after this and remembering how it was when i was younger, I think thats been punishment enough. Hopefully Mckelvin will take the high road and drop the charges against the 2 kids, otherwise he would have lost my respect along with many others im sure. If his ego is that damaged than he shouldnt press charges, he should make it up on the field where it belongs.

I'm sure you guys all remember that first super bowl loss when Norwood's kick went wide right. lol, i hate to bring it up but do you remember the rally at city hall where all the bills faithful chanted & cheered for Norwood after that miss? That moment showed what Bills fans are all about, this sunday against the bucs it would be nice to see Leodis get some noise himself. I think it would be good for the team & for leodis to hear that whoever vandalized his home doesnt reflect the larger fan base as a whole. Even though i thought his performance in the opener was pretty weak at best. Missed tackles that led to large gains & of course "The Fumble", it would be good to hear the fans support him in true bills fan style. LE-ODIS! LE-ODIS! GO BILLS!

i thought maybin was good last nite, in time i think he'll develop into a productive player for us. Whether he stays at defensive end or is utilized in more of a lee suggs type of role or dare i say derrick thomas, he's got great speed & just looking at him on the field, he looks like he's gonna be a beast. I hate to beat a dead horse here but i'm still pissed that we cut Copeland Bryan and kept both denney and kelsay. Now with Kelsay likely to be out, i sure woulda like to have CB around, there was nothing Denney or Kelsay could do that Bryan couldnt do. Too bad about Poz, he's quickly becoming the Tim Connolly of the Bills. that pick is really looking like a bust, such a shame not only for us but for him as he really seems like a good kid. I wonder if we'll pick up Pat Thomas or Derrick Brooks.
