  1. Paxton Lynch is available
  2. at least we kept The Beer. Good to see our front office has their priorities straight!
  3. PLEASE, not this again! Idk if I could live with another one. If they sign Reilly & he puts up 900 yards, sure i'll be happy for the kid but i'll probably kill myself.
  4. the consensus is that the Pats were trying to hide him from others so they could stash him on their PS
  5. Thought it should be obvious. Theres a risk in starting a punter who hasn't kicked in a preseason game or regular season game. But it was a calculated risk given the teams dissatisfaction with Schmidt's punting.
  6. The Bills obviously saw a need to move on from Schmidt. They brought in Jon Ryan, they brought in Cory Carter. Those guys didn't pan out so they signed this new guy, who from all scouting reports from his college years, he has the stats that show he'd be an improvement over Schmidt. I'm sure they wouldve rather signed an NFL veteran, but sometimes you have to take risks, calculated risks & that's what they did. They have time to build a relationship with the long snapper & punter, and on the place kicking duties. I'm not overly worried about our punting situation lol. This looks like a good move imo
  7. the punter is our mvp lol. But it does make a big difference. Playing the field position game with a solid running game & hopefully a strong defense behind it. Winning the turnover game & having a solid place kicker. With that formula we've seen you can make the playoffs as long as you execute. It's the best we can hope for i'm afraid
  8. With our interior o-line having issues, it still sucks a bit to lose Ike Boettger to the Chiefs. I know our staff knows more about him than we do but i'd like to see more depth added & not see these guys go. The punter & cb look promising however!
  9. Corey's been cut so that wont happen. I also don't see us trading Shady anytime soon.. Maybe after this season is over, but not too many teams are gonna dish out anything great for an aging RB. If our season gets off to a horrible start & we're already too far behind to think playoffs, then maybe Beane will trade away some of our older vets before the deadline to teams in the playoff hunt. But I don't see much else happening until then
  10. Patriots & Falcons even older than us... Tbh I wouldn't care about the age of our roster if we were built to win a title right now. But since we're still "in the process" of rebuilding/retooling our roster, you'd like to see our roster younger i'd imagine. Kind of like how the Sabres have a young core. Theyre built for the future. With the Bills you're not so sure. But I can't be too critical given the state of this franchise these past years. Things were so bad ownership thought it was a good idea to hire the Ryan Brothers... You know its bad when you think they look good lol
  11. Yeah i was surprised Foster beat out Streater. I know Foster has the speed but I haven't really seen much more out of him in terms of route running or good hands. Streater at least seems like a safer bet. I mean a few years ago he put up nearly 900 yards with the Raiders, but I suppose they recognize the need for a vertical threat. And who knows, maybe they feel they can coach him up a bit. He is pretty raw
  12. Anyone surprised that Foster made the team & not Streater, Reilly or Proehl?
  13. I feel like we've been waiting for Logan Thomas to turn into a good TE for years now... I know it takes time but hopefully it happens this year or it might just be time to move on from this project. How many years can you devote a roster spot to a project TE?
  14. Insert Nick O'Leary & Logan Thomas to the abbreviations, it'll make more sense that way
  15. All these statements from Jalen is gonna put him on thin ice. I like personalities & think its overall good for the sport, but dude needs to put up a couple seasons 1st before his words mean anything. You think you can be in the NHL Jalen? How bout learn how to skate 1st? Dude talks smack about Edelman, but yet still got smoked twice last year by him. I'd like to see more of his talking take place on the field personally. If he keeps putting out ridiculous statements, people will eventually mute him out & ignore him... Which in turn will probably lead Jalen to get even more outlandish & ridiculous. Keep your popcorn handy i guess
  16. and to think just a week ago everyone was making threads that Allen/Peterman was Kelly/Reich. How bout we just stop trying to make false comparisons to other players, when our current guys have a grand total of 1 half of regular season NFL football.
  17. it HAS to be... it's just gotta! To be honest, I don't take anything for a given with this team. All options are on the table until the game starts come week 1. But by the time the game is over tonight, we should have a little better of an idea, but surely nothing we can cement in stone.
  18. check your pm's
  19. In the past it was primarily for training camp, the announcement today is a season long promotion
  20. It's good for her, good for the NFL, is it good for the Bills & the improvement of our players? I don't know. Kinda like how our QB's coach Culley hasnt coached the position in some 30 odd years, here's another coach being added that appears as more of a student than a teacher. From an ESPN article 20 days ago, it says: Schecter's role for three weeks with the Bills included compiling play scripts for practice, assisting defensive backs coach Gill Byrd in running drills during practice and helping break down film from each session. So i guess her role is more of a support role? I guess that helps. I'm sure our coaching staff needs as much help as it can get. While this is a good story for the Bills & NFL in general & will garner some national press. The lack of quality coaches in key areas of our team worries me. Hopefully I'm wrong to worry & our players are coached to their strengths & are able to succeed. GO BILLS!
  21. surprised to even see Culley appear on this list, yet alone any list lol. I wish we had a more experienced QB's coach. His track record in this regard hasn't been that great, & thats an understatement lol. Is Culley here because McD thinks he is the right man for the job? Or is he here because he's all we got? Here's to hoping he can coach.
  22. This exactly. Can you imagine what the narrative would be if Josh Allen started 0-11, just like Troy Aikman did? Or what if he went 4-12, just like Jim Kelly did? I understand the concerns people have with throwing Allen into the fire, but just like with most things in life, you learn the quickest thru experience & thru making mistakes & learning from them. Having Josh on the sidelines will just teach him how to hold a clipboard & have him inside of his head the whole game, as opposed to just playing football. If you believe Allen is your franchise QB going forward, then you go with him. There's always gonna be a risk of injuries, its a physical game. But I can't see McD not starting Allen because he's afraid he might get hurt. And everyone elses comments about Peterman needing to select a receiver pre snap based on what coverage he sees being a potential liability i agree with.
  23. I get your logic & i might even agree with it. But thats like saying you bought a ferrari & leave it in the garage because youre afraid it might get damaged... well why did you buy a ferrari then? You made the investment to go out & get it, it serves you no use to just let it sit in the garage. Youre never gonna learn how to drive unless you get behind the wheel imo. Generalized statements on how to handle a rookie qb aside. I think what direction you go in with regards to Josh depends on what you see out of him with the reps he gets. If he looks like he can handle the pressure & remain poised & in control of himself, then throw him out there. I think if Josh feels like the coaches are afraid to put him out there because he might start doubting himself, that in turn could help make him doubt himself too. It goes both ways imo.
  24. Ritchie could've been here if he wanted to. It's not as if the Bills kicked him off the team. He quit on his own. But yeah, that's what we need on our offensive line, another quitter. Sounds like a recipe for success!
  25. I think for the most part, we knew our O Line would be relatively bad... but i don't think we imagined it'd be this bad. Not having Dion Dawkins in there definitely hurt. Having him in there only makes everyone else around him a bit better. But its kinda ironic, they say its harder to find good tackles in this league & easier to find interior guys & here we appear to have the opposite. Poor center/guards & 1 good tackle & the other serviceable. I know we're all hoping that Beane finds some help but at this point I don't know what he really can do. Every team is looking for good OL-men. The best we can hope for is that someone elses trash is better than our trash. If we can find better garbage out there then i guess its still an upgrade? I'll tell ya what though, if the line doesnt improve over the course of the season, theres gonna be a lot of hard questions for Beane to answer as to why they didn't address the position better heading into this year. The writing was on the wall with Wood & Ritchie leaving, it's not like they didn't see this coming. As always I guess we'll just have to hope for the best
