Anthony Barr is out for the season, Kendricks or a sack of potatoes would help our LB crew tho

The time for us to retool our roster was during the offseason. We as fans would love for us to fix some of the areas that need improving, but these issues should've been looked at prior to the season starting & for some reason weren't. Star opting out couldn't have been foreseen, EJ Gaines too for that matter. But they had to know injuries would be an issue & that our depth was lacking at LB & DB & that we needed a big guy on the line to eat up space. I've been a Murphy hater since day 1, we could've chosen to go another direction & used that cap space on someone else. Trying to make a trade now to bring someone in will result in an overpayment if it can even be done at all. And then theres the time it takes to get him up to speed & all that. JJ Watt btw i wouldn't want to bring in. His body is done & his salary is too high. If we could get him for cheap with Houston retaining salary, i suppose he'd be an upgrade over what we have now, but only due to how bad we're playing. We need a few players brought in at this point

WFT sticking with WFT next season
brianthomas replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I've been calling the WFT the WTF's. Its slowly catching on. To me the WTF moniker just makes too much sense. They're really that bad WTF -
Threads & suggestions like this blueprint thing were frequent after losses to New England. Its just that we heard of this blueprint to stop Tom Brady for 20 years. Yes the way to beat KC is to force them to run. Its also important to have a good running game ourselves to control the clock & limit their opportunities. Only reason why KC ran so much is because we couldn't stop it, not because we forced them to. KC could've done whatever they wanted to us today & decided to roll with the ground game bcuz of A. the conditions & B. we couldn't stop *****, as they were gashing us for 7-9 yards a pop.

seeing a lot of "update" tweets that have been put out previously 40+ minutes ago from other posters. 1 sure fire sign that the Bills BellStakes are over. -

Could also be that they were dropping him off or the flight was unrelated to Bell all together. Pat McAfee just said that there were reports that Bell was spotted at Duffs here earlier. Who knows whats true or not though lol -

Yeah he lives and trains there https://www.orlandosentinel.com/sports/miami-dolphins/fl-sp-dolphins-leveon-bell-kelly-column-20201015-xihlfa2ebvg7fbemoa6zhedrni-story.html Bell already calls South Florida home, living and training here in the offseason, and sources told the South Florida Sun Sentinel he’s open to considering the Dolphins (2-3) if “the money, and situation is right.” -

saw some tweets shared here about the contract implications. Dan Graziano's tweet wasn't worded properly. This puts it a little more clearly -
Whole team was outmatched but thats besides the point. TJ Yeldon had 54 yards on 7 carries, the most coming in garbage time. But its been an issue all year long so far. Whatever the solution is, we need to figure it out. Whether it be different run designs, better coaching & execution, or even bringing in another rb, dare i say Le'Veon Bell. You know your run game is bad when you contemplate him

The lack of any running game whatsover is a big part of our offense that is missing. And its something we're gonna need to fix if we have any hope for a deep run this year. It keeps defenses honest. It helps take pressure off of Josh. It keeps our offense in manageable downs & distance. It opens up the playbook. It wears down defenses. Could really go on but you get the point. This was the 5th game of the year & the running game has been an after thought in every one. We're ranked in the bottom of the league in rushing. When John Brown is out, I would've expected to see perhaps a little more emphasis on trying to get the ground game going. But i digress. Another aspect of the game that stood out was that the Titans players simply looked like the fresher of 2 teams. And it makes sense because they've had the past couple weeks to rest. Where our players have had their schedules thrown off & are dealing with injuries at key areas. Idk how much of a factor the scheduling had. I for one don't think you can make excuses for what we saw last night, but it had to have some kinda impact. LB & CB depth was something a lot of us were worried about heading into the year & its been an issue early. Hopefully theres something we can do to shore it up, otherwise we're gonna be in for some rough games.

Jets trying to trade Bell - per Daily News
brianthomas replied to Greg S's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It makes sense for the Jets to part ways with Bell, given how this is a lost season & their timeline for rebuilding has changed. But Bells value is also at his lowest right now, so theyre not gonna get much for him -
Well now he's out thunk himself to a 20-3 deficit. U have the best rb in the league & u get too cute with the game plan vs a 1-3 team. Maybe i'm just seeing this thru the eyes of our coaches, but you play to your strengths. Idk wtf Taysom Hill is but he's not a strength lol.
-
because the coach is an idiot. Thinks he's smarter than everyone else, using Kamara as a decoy or on the sidelines & giving the FB the carry on a crucial 3rd and short. Him subbing out Brees for Hill, continually while seeing it blow up in his face again & again, just shows how he's stuck inside his own head, as opposed to what he sees on the field.
-
Of course the Saints are led by an idiot who keeps swapping out Brees for Taysom Hill, where he's fumbled more than accomplishing anything positive. And Kamara stays on the sideline til 3rd down & is used in a blocking role. I dont get it lol. You have quite possibly the best RB in the league & you don't use him. SMH. It'd be frustrating even without having him on FF
-
I have Kamara tonight in fantasy, going up against Herbert. I'm already up by 7 points so im hoping Thomas being out equates to more touches/targets for Kamara. I'll be good as long as Latavius Murray doesn't vulture too many away. Kamara to me is a lot like another player i have DK Metcalf. They are such a special sort of athlete that I wish teams would lean heavy on them. You see what happened last night with Seattle.... Once Rus started keying in on DK, the game turned around for them. Or i could just be completely biased since i own both players Either way hoping for a good game tonight

Best place to pick up some memorabilia?
brianthomas replied to ndirish1978's topic in Bills Tickets and Gear
Yeah i second Brennan Huff here with Pristineauctions.com The prices are really really good where you'll want to buy everything! -
Titans keep getting sick so u must forfeit. I don't want any of our guys or staff going there & getting sick. And i dont think its fair we should jump thru hoops or have our bye week this week either. They might move the game to Mon/Tues, but will the Titans be virus free by then? Doubtful. And then we'd have to move the KC TNF game to Saturday, after hoping none of our guys are infected. I'm in camp forfeit on this one & i'm 100% totally unbiased! I swear!

Unsung hero from Raiders Game
brianthomas replied to tbonehawaii's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Josh Norman but I imagine he's on a few peoples list. Cole Beasley would be another. Made a couple clutch catches that won the game for us. -
What happens if you flip flop Darnold and Allen?
brianthomas replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think when Darnold was drafted, he was closer to his ceiling than Allen was. Allen was more raw & could be teached from the ground up. Whereas Darnold already had years of his mechanics being the way they were, and would need to unlearn bad habits to succeed in the NFL. Imo thats much harder for a qb to do, then to just build up techniques that we saw with Allen. I think this played an impact on both. Perhaps Darnold would've been better here than how he's been on the Jets, just from being in a less dysfunctional situation. But I still would prefer Allen -
A Saints player just tested positive for COVID
brianthomas replied to bills6969's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If you have Kamara on your fantasy team like i do & are worried about this news, worry even more: What would really help with this virus is if the test results could be returned as fast as possible. As it is now, a player gets tested in the morning & doesn't get his results until later at night. Meanwhile they could believe they're clean & they continue to expose others to the virus. If the results were as instantaneous as possible, it would help players to react faster to being positive & quarantine themselves.
