  1. Perhaps the Bills would be better off if they allowed Stevie Johnson to replace his Bills helmet for the Bills GM hat in this off season. From what has transpired ,early into this off season, the teams roster is retrogressing rather than progressing. Hopefully before this off season ends I can eat my sarcastic words. Hopefully.
  2. The white helmets are boring. Go back to the red.
  3. Should the Bills select Nassib with the number 8 selection, Marrone's tenure as Bills HC will be on the clock. If Nassib turns out to be a bust I doubt Marrone could survive three years of poor QB play. That is why I feel fairly comfortable that if the Bills draft Nassib at 8 he could be the QB that ends our playoff drought.
  4. I have been wondering what the Bills are going to do in order to generate excitement for the 2013 season. As this season has shown our roster and coaching staff is not adequate to get us out of the AFC East cellar. And it doesn't appear that this years draft contains a Franchise QB that the Bills marketing team could spin into season ticket sales. Nor does there appear to be a Marquee Head Coach candidate, willing to coach the Bills. So what promotional splash can the Bills do to generate excitement for 2013? I believe Ralph Wilson will hire Jim Kelley to be the new CEO of the Bills. Kelley will have the authority Tom Donahoe had plus he will have the first rights to purchase the Bills. As I said, just speculating.
  5. There is a story circulating in Florida that if the Bills want to have a real QB on their roster again, they have to sign Doug Flutie for a day and have him retire a Bill. That's the only way of ending the Flutie curse. Merry Christmas.
  6. Does anyone think the bills will make the playoffs during the life of this agreement? If so, what year?
  7. Perhaps bringing in Michael Vick would be the best short term solution to our QB problem and playoff drought. Let's face it, Fitzpatrick isn't good enough to elevate our passing game to playoff caliber. And it doesn't appear that this years draft class has a bonafide franchise QB. Vick is a Gailey style QB, and behind our OL he could be successful. We could then use the draft to focus on building a real defense..
  8. I find it hard to believe that any organization can continue to fail for as long as the Bills have, and that failure mentality is not transcended into the mind set of all the people associated with that organization. Looking at the make up of this Franchise from management to the roster, does anyone foresee this team finishing higher than the cellar of the AFC East in the near future?
  9. Gailey has stated that this team is better than the team he inherited three years ago. Perhaps we do have a better OL and DL and a potential elite RB. But our record clearly shows we are not any closer to being a playoff contending team than we were when he and Nix arrived. If anything our record has shown we have regressed. Do you think Gailey is correct in his evaluation or is he delusional?
  10. Our QB has to be one of the top three most inaccurate QB's in the NFL. I don't envision Fitzpatrick being on next years team. There is no way the Bills can sell playoff hopes for next years team with Fitzpatrick's erratic passing.
  11. Based on various college football draft sites, not to mention Mel Kiper and Todd McShay, there doesn't appear to be a franchise QB in the upcoming draft. As a matter of fact, some say there is not a QB worthy of a top 20 pick. That being said, the Bills appear to headed in need of a positive personnel, preferably QB, splash to sell tickets next year. What do you think Russ Brandon and his group will do?
  12. What could Russ Brandon do to sell season tickets next year should this years team turn out to be a disaster? Do you think replacing Buddy Nix with Bill Polian would get the fan base excited for the 2013 season?
  13. What a dissapointment Sunday. Are we really as bad as we looked in the second half?
  14. Rex Ryan has declared that the playoffs for the Jets begins next Sunday against the Bills. I wonder if this Bills team understands how to elevate the intensity of play that is required to be in playoff mode. Perhaps that has had something to do with our last two losses. Both the Jets and Cowboys appeared to have played with a greater sense of urgency than the Bills.
  15. It appears that the trade of Lee Evans caught many of the players by surprise. Evans, being a team leader, was playing with the first team, and seemed set to start again this season. Furthermore, it doesn't look like there was another receiver on Lee's heals to take his spot. So, who made the call to trade Evans?
  16. I wonder if Nix is looking for a kicker who can consistently kick off into the end zone.
  17. To my knowledge Lee Evans was, as of this morning, a starter on the Bills Offense. I don't recall hearing that another receiver was pressing Evans for his job. Now our roster of receivers area go from a status of relative certainty to uncertainty, for the upcoming season. Other than the money, why weaken this area of our offense ? ps; Stevie Johnson can't be happy.
  18. I know this is the time of the season where we all should be optimistic for a better team. But the weakest part of last years team ( line backer ) appears to weaker.
  19. Marcus Stroud is not deemed by the Bills brass to be worthy of a roster spot. Yet, the Patriot brass feel Stroud is worthy of a spot on their roster. Go figure.
  20. If Cam Newton is available at #3 the Bills will draft him. As of this date there is not a defensive difference maker in the 2011 draft. There are a lot of good defensive players, but none worthy of a top 3 pick. That's why I say if available, Carolina might be thinking the same way.
  21. Not withstanding our need to build a defensive front seven, Patrick Peterson is the best football player in the 2011 draft. Unfortunately there is not a DE,DT or Linebacker worthy of the number three pick.
  22. It been a long time since I looked at the Standings in December to see who played who and who, and who had to win or lose for the bills to get a home playoff game. Instead, I'm once again determining who has to win for the Bills to get a better draft position. I like the first scenario better.
  23. Bell has had a solid season thus far. He appears to be on a path to become one of the premier LT's in the league. As far as the o-line is concerned, we would improve by getting upgrades at center, left guard, and right tackle.
  24. You have to wonder if Shawn Merriman ever had any intentions of playing for the Bills. Perhaps AJ Smith did Merriman a million dollar favor and kept his mouth shut.
  25. It has been reported that the Bills ( based on having the worst record to date in the NFL) have the right to claim Randy Moss. Perhaps we could get aa high as a fifth round pick for him.
