Who is your favorite current Bill?
1st Ammendment NoMas replied to Bing Bong's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Kyle #1, Shady #2, Hyde #3, Tre #4, Wood was up there and I was sad to see him retire. It's sad when I think about it. There are not that many Bills who stand out as stars, leaders and winners. With this said, I think I put Coach McDermott at #5. Getting to the playoffs with these rag-tags is a big accomplishment. -
Raise your hand if you can see past your primary option and throw downfield.

Richie Incognito Un-retires via Twitter?
1st Ammendment NoMas replied to loyal2dagame's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't think it does. This FO is smart and they knew Richie, Wood and Glenn were short-term. The signings of Bodine, Newhouse and McDermott began to signal that. I believed we had planned and still plan, to address the OL in the draft, which is why they spent the big money FA on the DL (Murphy, Star) I see at least 2 OL being drafted - one in Rd's 1-2 and one in Rd's 5-7, plus some chances on UDFA. -
TSW Mock Draft vs Actual Draft

So far I would not hate this... BTW great idea for the board. love this. -
This year is almost a giveaway. No team can take the dead cap hit we have and not feel pain in some areas. If we win at least 6-7 games, and continue to build talent for the long term, the FO will get 5 years to ride that talent out. We were very active with FA on a limited budget. If 75% of Star, Bodine, Newhouse, P. Gaines, AJ, Ivory, Murphy become major contributors, and we pull 3-4 starters/contributors from the draft this year, then the McBean combo will be revered at OBD and this team will win at least 8, with AJ literally being being the wildcard. If he plays better than TT, we may even win 9-10 and be in the hunt. I do not agree that we will see a recession on defense. With the system kicking into year 2 and some quality D-line additions, I expect improvement. I think Milano takes a big step up and we take an MLB in rd 1-2 (depending on QB trade) who makes immediate impact. The ? will be the offense, most particularly the line. But I hope and believe that they will also address this and perhaps Bodine, Newhouse will step up along with McDermott and Miller. I think that the FO saw the departure of Wood and Richie, but it came a year early. They knew last year Cordy was not in the long term plan. I believe another low price vet may come in to challenge OT and they will draft C/G early, My gut says QB/MLB/C-G/WR/RB in their first 5 picks with any combination in play due to BPA. They will draft smart and see how it all plays out. GO BILLS!

Dunkirk Don or Savior Peterman
1st Ammendment NoMas replied to Mark Vader's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Don is the Don and high level meeting are paramount for any tribal troll. However, due to the high volume of inane postings regarding the QB, I would like to bring back Savior Peterman on a one day contract to retire as a TBD advisory board member. He may post all thoughts he's had in the last 3 months regarding the QB position. -
WOW is our OL ever in shambles
1st Ammendment NoMas replied to Bakin's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The real problem with the line is continuity. Shady offered Richie money because he knows the value of knowing where his block is going to be, how to follow Richie to open a hole. We finally had 5 on the line for a few years in a row which is a HUGE value. Continuity means communication and that helps. An O-line is only as good as the communication, scheme, play calls and continuity. Most of these guys are pretty close in talent, save for a few superstars, which we did not have. The biggest loss is having new guys playing in a new scheme with a new OC, new GB, new line and new receivers. This is going to be a tough year on offense unless we draft really, really well. It feels like we need to spend the entire draft (except MLB) on the offense. Hope we don't trade the farm to do it, but I'd love to see Baker or Rosen in a Bills uni. -
Jets likely to release Hackenberg and Petty
1st Ammendment NoMas replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I thought Petty showed some promise. I'd bring him to as camp fodder and see how it plays out. If he's better than Peterson, good... more depth. -
Why do I see you with just a Bills jersey on singing this into a hairbrush in front of your mirror, thinking "this would be epic on youtube." Do not take out your cell phone. Do not record!

7 round mock Bills draft - best I have seen!
1st Ammendment NoMas replied to mileena's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
hate to break the dream but no way Mayfield makes it to 12, Vander Esch is gone before 22, will never drop to 32 Price is gone by the 40's and 3 QB's is utterly ridiculous when we just signed McCarron and just drafted Peterson. -
2018 NFL Draft Bills Interest Tracker
1st Ammendment NoMas replied to RyanTalbotBills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
thanks, (promote away!) This is a great list. Good to know the Bills are doing there homework and also understand where we are weak. Surprisingly, only 3 WR so far. I would have thought they'd see this as another problem area to upgrade. I do like this list and many of these guys would look great in a Bills uni. -
I know WR seems bleak, but I got a feeling that Brandon Reilly is going to step up and become a Hogan/Edelman type of receiver with the right QB. With KB as the #1 and Clay/O'Leary/Thomas at TE and Ivory/Shady out of the backfield, I don't think it is as bad as people think. If Zay becomes a true #2 we get lucky, but if we can land a Kamara/Hunt type back in the 3rd (Penny) and another outside receiver (Kirk/Sutton/Moore/Clark) suddenly this group looks good with AJ and has room to grow. If we trade up and draft an LB early then it might be good to bring in Maclin/Decker/Aiken or kick the tires on Alfred Morris and take a look at Gragg if he is healthy. Greg Robinson, Alex Boone and Luke Joekal are still out there for O-line. Minter/Hodges still there at LB. Even with the cap and draft, I think we can put together another playoff run regardless if we trade up.
-
For what we are working with, I think they did a great job. The move up won't make or break us this year, but it could impact the next 3. If we truly identified the "franchise QB" we want to build around for the next 5-10 years, then we must give up whatever it takes to make the move. The defense should be equally good or better this year, which was good enough to carry a terrible OC and run first QB. I think McCarron will be an upgrade over TT. If we can walk into the season with 3 more starters at RT, MLB and WR, then C, we can stay in the playoff talk. With 4 picks in the first two rounds smart drafting can solve this. If we trade it all for the future QB, then he has to be the one who is so much better than McCarron that he elevates the offense. With the luck of a Kamara type back in the 3rd or 4th and a solid #2 WR then things may evolve even quicker.
