  1. When I played, my nickname was Tatum after Jack Tatum. My DB coach called it out after I consistently laid down the wood on receivers who tried to cross the middle. Back in the day, they let us hit anything that came in our path.
  2. It's like a different unit when Groy is in. Bodine has some bad ju-ju with this line. They collapse when he is in there. I really. hope we don't see him on the field this year. Only special teams.
  3. I doubt it. Zay, Kerley, Streater and possibly Coleman will all see WR time before Holmes. I'd throw Ray Ray and Reilly out there before him too.
  4. Other than special teams, Holmes doesn't seem like a top 5 receiver on this team. It will be interesting to see who the odd man out is.
  5. this is great to hear. I am loving Allen so far. Hope he starts.
  6. After he plays the Bills he will be repping PTSD underwear. We will knock those shorts right off his ass and he will feel the Hangover and the trauma of D Bills!
  7. Bills by virtue of coaching. Hue Jackson is a mess, so even with more talent, he will screw it up.
  8. Stat-wise, Ryan has a slight edge on Schmidt. How the weather affects his kicking may be key. Ryan had a long of 74yds to Schmidts long of 60.
  9. you have to fork out $34.99 a month to find out. no thanks.
  10. I don't think the "chip on your shoulder" analogy for Brady or Allen is the total picture. It's a relentless drive to be their best. What people say can be used as motivation from time to time, but there are people who just push themselves to be great. They don't like losing, they don't tolerate a half-assed effort, they put everything they have into the work behind the scenes and at game time. They can't be happy with themselves if there is any hint of complacency or failure. They are not going to let anything be sub-standard around them. I think this is a "process" character trait that the New Era Bills are looking for. Coaching becomes teaching and working through the process, not motivating and baby-sitting prima donnas. That's why Sammy and DairyAss are gone.
  11. I wish I made 22m to get hurt and not go to work. nice life.
  12. I'm agreed with the rest of my Bills brothers on the grades. Also adding. Some players get both good/bad night grades. Edmonds - (good) sideline to sideline speed to help contain outside runs and short passing game (bad) over-pursuing inside runs and getting gashed. Peterman (good) decision making and getting the ball out quickly to his reads in the middle of the field. (bad) those short out patterns can turn to a pick 6 with that arm strength. Taron Johnson (good) he seems to have a nose for the football and gets to a runner quickly even when LB's are out of place. (bad) receivers seem to get the inside step on him and he is susceptible to be a step or two behind on in routes. Good Fede - made some nice plays and may be scratching his way to a roster spot. Bad. Bodine - it seemed like a different line with Bodine in there. Many have pointed out a lack of communication. Put Groy back and let's see what Teller can do at LG with the 1's and Allen next week. Davis- the only kick he needs is in the ass and out the door. C McDermott- not his best game. I still think he makes the 53. Cadet- Unless he dazzles in games 3-4, he's going to get cut. Bad News Kyle- If he is out for an extended time, its going to hurt. As much as I like Prince Harry, he and Star were getting moved a lot by Cleveland's line. Adding to the others. I, like the brethren, am super excited about Allen. That zip on the outs is a thing of beauty. He puts the ball there so quick on intermediate throws that it is almost indefensible. I love his pocket presence so far. Seeing him calmly step up into the pocket and find his man is so refreshing compared to Tyrod's chicken run scrambles. Murphy - a very pleasant surprise. Last year I thought he flashed some talent, but I didn't see him ahead of Cadet or Ivory. I think he's a legit #2 right now. Ray Ray - he's making plays and I think he jumps up from the scrub brush and claims a roster spot. Proehl, Foster are done. I'd like to see what Coleman does next week when he's had a chance to adjust.
  13. That's what I was thinking and wouldn't mind either of them. Peterson looks improved and a vet like Anderson could help both QB's. Any timetable on AJ? If it's a fracture he could return in 4-6 weeks.
  14. I was thinking the same thing. He'd look good with Allen right now. Not that we could keep them all but could you imagine KB, Sammy, Woods and Goodwin with Allen and our TE's. Lethal!
  15. That was a hell of a throw. All arm on Allen and perfect ball placement. Most QB's wish they could make that throw and few try it. We have a gunslinger in the making.
  16. I think McCloud is pushing Reilly, Holmes or Clay for the last WR roster spot.
  17. Bad night: I'd add the Linebackers. They seemed to get beat consistently in pass coverage and over-pursued on a few runs throughout the night. That is my area of concern on defense right now. Good night: Shaq Lawson: He looked quicker getting to the QB and solid in run contain. He's not getting traded.
  18. Helmet rule--- sucks! Kickoff rule--- sucks! Catch rule-- they are still trying to fix this. Last year was horrible. Bottom line: Don't let the refs subjective opinions kill a game. Any rule that puts the game in the refs hands needs to be killed immediately. Lets' get back to football.
  19. Boys it's 2018, you can find the game online streaming at a number of sites. You have internet, right?
  20. That is my one and only thought. TT looks better. Everyone looks better with Rico out of the building. I wouldn't even want a Rico and Rex show in little loop football these days.
  21. I'm with keeping all 3. just in case.
  22. one or two drops. mostly receivers in the wrong spots, miscommunication and some terrible routes from Foster who literally stops running on a fly pattern then started running again and the ball was overthrown by a few feet.
  23. yeah, so far all the rule changes suck. it's very disappointing to see the NFL shoot itself in the ass after screwing up the catch rule last year.
