Have you lost Confidence in the Bills ?
1st Ammendment NoMas replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I've lost a little confidence that they can go deep in the playoffs. I can see the Bills exorcising the demons of the AFC East, but I just don't see enough on defense and opposing defenses are figuring out our offense and we haven't been able to adjust. After week 4, I was ready to claim a perch in the top 3 seeds in the AFC and believe they could beat KC, Pittsburgh, Baltimore or Tennessee in a playoff game. Now I think we are a #4 seed by default and a 5-6 in the AFC as far as overall talent. -
Who can spy Russell Wilson

Pressure and contain. DE's can not take too wide a path on rush. They need to set the edge. Vary up coverages from time to time and send Poyer on a few blitzes to keep them honest. DT's can not get fooled on gaps and Oliver/Zimmer need to be disruptive. Edmonds needs to take the right angles and not over pursue. Thats the only way to slow them down. If we can force a few errors and turnovers, we have. chance with solid offense and special teams. -
I'm with you on this. Seattle's D will improve with Adams and Dunlop, not as much as Pittsburgh after the Fitzpatrick acquisition, but if they stay injury free it should be enough to take the NFC West and make a deep run. Wilson is a magician and his rapport with Metcalf and Lockett make this the best triplets in the NFL hands down especially on the deep ball. A healthy Carson makes them really dangerous.

Seahawks injury situation

A banged up Junior Varsity TE from West Seneca East High School beats a healthy Klein. Although rumor has it Klein was tight in coverage on the freshman from St. Joes. -
Tua every pass attempt in case your interested

He has a weird throwing motion. Maybe it's because he's a leftie, but the ball just comes out of his hand in a strange position and seems to drift. And they said Josh had accuracy issues. smh -
Butler should be playing the 1tech. He's 330 lbs, but he's been hurt and ineffective and we have no backup. I hope they bring someone in today.

There's been a bunch of internet chatter, mostly from Beaner and Gettleman's relationship and rumors. -

Can we please please make a strong effort to acquire Tomlinson. He is exactly what this defense needs. If that's all we do, I will be happy. This can help everyone on the D. -

How you felt about the win
1st Ammendment NoMas replied to Homey D. Clown's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Watching this game induced a good deal of stomach twisting groans and finally some elation of an actual win against NE. That made me happy, but there is genuine concern about this team heading into the next 5 weeks and I feel we need an outside jolt of adding a playmaker on defense (DT or LB) Offense. Josh has come back down to earth and some of his bad habits (footwork) are showing a bit. We haven't hit enough deep balls to make the opposing D back off, but the return of Mongo added juice to the running game. I'd love to see what a healthy O line of Dawkins, Ford, Morse, Mongo and Williams can do down the stretch. Seeing Moss and Singletary in the backfield together was awesome. They made a sweet duo yesterday and I hope the run game continues to improve. If we were to add anything to the offense at the deadline, it has to be Njoku. It would also be nice to put our feelers for Alex Mack and Billy Price if Morse is going to miss significant time. Defense. Allowing 5.5 yds a carry is not good. The D-Line gets pushed back way too much and our under-achieving LB's are beginning to worry me. I hope Dodson gets healthy an Darron Lee can provide some playmaking. I'm not real high on Lee because he seems to be an Edmunds/Milano clone and it would be nice to see a mean streak and some thumping. out of our LB's. Watching Edmonds get blown back 5-10 yds on a carry is unacceptable, as is Poyer being our leading tackler. We need plays from our LB's. Getting Myles Jack would be the dream here. I hope Beaner is aggressive and makes this move. We need that 1 tech badly and I'd like to see a healthy Butler rotating with another 320lb+ run stuffer, not these 285-300 lb DT's who can hold the line and can't get to the QB. The best option is Dalvin Tomlinson and I beg the Beaner to "get 'er done". Outside of that, is an out of shape Poe 345 and Quinnen Williams at 305, but will the Jets trade in the division. If somehow, someway we got Jack/Tomlinson on D, I think we could make a deep playoff run. We hung tough with KC and that little extra juice on O and D could be the magic we need. -
A JAG who is more physical than our timid LB's who make tackles 7 yards down the field. Williamson had 120 tackles, three sacks and two forced fumbles in his first season with the Jets in 2018. This year he has 59 tackles, 1 int and 3PD which would be 2nd on our D right now. A much better option than Klein or Dodson. I get it that teams don't often trade within the division, but if the offer was better, they might. We desperately need help on defense to secure the AFC East and not be one and done in the playoffs for the 3rd time in the McD era.

It looks like the Jets gave up on Wiliamson and the rich get richer on D without giving up much. A swap of draft picks. Too bad they couldn't trade him to us and we move Edmunds outside. The Bills need some reinforcements on defense. If a team like Pittsburgh is out looking for defense, we better be all over it this week. I expect to see some moves!

I'm disappointed with ALL of the FA pickups. Addison, Butler and Jefferson should have offset the losses of Phillips and Lawson. But they have done nothing so far and only Addison seems to make the rare play. Klein is brutal. Matekevich only gets ST duty. Norman is a shell of his old self. Going 0-6 on FA is what is killing this D.

I really hope Mitch Morse retires.

Edmunds on last play...

It belongs to Edmonds. He is playing timid and lacks any physicality as an LB. We need someone with a mean streak and instincts. -
Watching the Seahawks and 49ers game..

The sad thing is that if it's not Metcalf, it's Lockett. They have a great 1-2 punch and then Carson pounds out runs. Add Russel Wilson and our Defense needs to make a move this week and bring in help. -
Completely out coached again.

Bad decisions to let Phillips and Lawson go. Paid the same to get Addison, Butler and Jefferson and it's still a net loss.
