WR Donte Moncrief released by Steelers

You always have to kick tires in this business, you never know what may pop off. We should have kicked one on Gordon. It doesn't hurt to bring someone in and see if they can compete with what you have. Better is good. -
Peko released, Taylor to 53
1st Ammendment NoMas replied to Dablitzkrieg's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
FINAFREAKINGLY! Did the coaches finally see on tape what we all saw on the field for the last 3 weeks. Damn I watched the all 22 from the Eagles and Peko was a total non-factor and negative on the field. How Taylor wasn't brought up before is puzzling. -
What "type" of fan are you? Coming clean

I guess this is where we start. From OJ to EJ, I've had Bills in the Blood and it's been a long and painful 40+ year journey. Sundays have been Billsdays since I was a kid, listening to games on the radio when we weren't at the stadium or the games were blacked out. Family gatherings and tailgates from 40-60 people were common and we had weddings and family events timed around Bills games all through my adulthood. I remember my first game ever at War Memorial. My dad and uncles would carry in a cooler full of beer and sandwiches and we'd sit on those long metal benches soaking in the game. In my teens, we used to ride our bikes to the stadium, sneak in and find empty seats. Like every true Buffalonian we lived and breathed Bills football on Sundays. A win and the week was brighter, a loss and I was pissed off for awhile. As I grew older the anger lasted less and less, but still 40 years later, my wife will tell me to pipe down the screaming and swearing at the tv during crisis times of a game. She will often leave the house and know by the look on my face if we won or lost. I will always remember the first Super Bowl against the Giants. I was living in New York City and hosted a big party at my place. I had Bills gear all over with crash test dummies in jerseys and Bills themed decor everywhere. Bills fans were outnumbered about 30-2 and I was so sure we were going to win after thumping. the Raiders 51-3. My cockiness at a championship was all but guaranteed and I blew my savings making bets and throwing parties. Needless to say the letdown was a long one after wide right. Still all these years later, I don't miss a game and I don't miss a day when I'm not cruising this board and wasting work time reading all the articles from this great community. -
Josh Gordon released off IR

Why not claim him. We had the cap space and could have received a comp pick if he didn't resign. smh! -
What I'm saying is that he had a legitimate gripe. Team doctors did not complete due diligence on this and overlooked or misdiagnosed his condition until it got serious enough to cause lifelong problems. He continually said he did not trust the teams medical staff anymore and that started this year, so it is apparent that over the last few years he must have gone to them with this problem and they seem to have told him to not worry about it. These guys trust that the NFL is providing them with the very best medical care, especially in a multi-billion dollar business that demands the best of the best. So I can understand why he immediately didn't go outside for other opinions. During the off-season he must have finally decided that it was a problem he had to deal with and then discovered the severity of the situation. I'd love to hear more of this whole story and get to all the facts and the timeline of the events. But we know for sure, it has been going on for awhile.

Here is the link to why Trent was so pissed at the Skins medical staff. http://www.nfl.com/nflnetwork/story/0ap3000001071692/article/trent-williams-says-he-had-cancerous-growth-removed If I were him I would have done the same. They knew about this for five years and if it went longer, he could have died or had very serious complications. Team medical staffs are a very important part of the organization and I think we as fans underestimate the trauma that these guys may go through. Instead everyone is concentrated on the money they make and the performance they have on the field. We forget that these are men with wives, kids and parents who depend on them, love them and need them. I think society in general has lost its touch with humanity and wants to continually judge performance and value it over relationship. That's kind of sad. All divisions are in play until it's clinched. Who knows, maybe Brady gets hurt. Maybe Gilmore gets hurt. Maybe that defense gets exposed by a game plan and the Pats offense isn't the terror it once was. Maybe they lose to Baltimore, KC and Buffalo. Probably not, but stranger things have happened and that's why we play 16 games. The Bills may go 12-4 or they may go 8-8. What if they win out or lose out. Chances are neither but no one knows until it's over. Of course, the only thing that is 100% is that we all hope and pray for a Patriot demise.

LOS is soft because of coaching
1st Ammendment NoMas replied to uticaclub's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is a week to week business for most of the NFL teams who are on the brink of the playoffs, except for NE who seems to be cruising along for 20 years with great teams always in the playoffs. Everyone else is working to get there consistently and a good or bad week can make the difference in their season. We show up like we did for Philly a few more times and someone may sneak into the playoffs ahead of us. -
Put Bills trade talks today here.
1st Ammendment NoMas replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My only consolation is the NE did not add Howard or Williams or any other impact players. It would have been nice to see some movement by the Bills. Time to regroup and focus on the Skins. -
D. for Dumboll. I can guess the plays based on formation. In the beginning of the year, I thought we had some new wrinkles to this offense and things would gel. Instead, the play calling has regressed and its the predictable run, run, pass, punt or fumble option.

My biggest frustration with the offense
1st Ammendment NoMas replied to Steptide's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
3. Offensive Line missing blocks and RT being a turnstyle 4. Lack of creative playcalling 5. Misuse of Josh Allens talents 6. Running Gore up the gut to start games 7. Not hitting any deep passes 8. Lack of TEs in passing game. Knox makes a few great catches then drops easy ones and disappears. Keep adding to the list. -
This is my pet peeve too. WTF are they doing to him. Timid legs, thinking too much, conservative shots. I want some run and gun. The kid has skills which shouldn't be put into a box.

DeAndre Hopkins - Get It Done
1st Ammendment NoMas replied to ngbills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Nick's Texas Red hots are great after a loss along with 10 beers. Oh, let's also trade for Russel Wilson since we almost drafted him. I think Chandler Jones would also help with the pass rush and Khalil Mack. Get 'er done. -
Does McD survive this year?
1st Ammendment NoMas replied to MAJBobby's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Having a system and being able to call the right plays at the right time within it are 2 different things. Daboll may understand this system from having learned it on the Patriots, but the truth is as an OC, the man has not had an offense in the top 15 anytime in his career. One lucky year under Saban and he gets the call up. Sorry, but the man is not ready for prime-time and YES, he is stunting Allen's growth. Allen now plays hesitant. His gunslinger and do what it takes with your legs style has been neutered in an attempt to turn him into a pocket passer. He is playing at 70% capacity like this and no team is going to fear Allen in the pocket or Gore as a lead back. Open it up like Baltimore has and let Allen use his legs as a weapon and teams need to back off. This offense is clearly not working, other than the fact that John Brown can catch Allen's off-target balls with ease. No one else has the hands on this offense as is evident by the drops. -

Rational Thoughts Day After Eagles
1st Ammendment NoMas replied to corta765's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
good post. pretty much sums up my feelings. The sad reality for me yesterday was that the team is regressing instead of improving. Good playoff teams get better as the season wears on. Teams like the Patriots seems to hit their groove and peak by the end of the season. Instead of improvements, we are getting exposed and haven't realized or fixed the problems. The optimist in me was really hoping that we would be getting better and Brady would get older and slow down and we'd take the AFC East. That's not happening the way this train is rolling. We will end up 9-7 or 10-6 and sneak into the playoffs as the 6th seed. We could even end up missing the playoffs if teams like the Chargers, Titans, Texans and Jaguars get on a roll. I think we need a little shakeup this week and bring up DT Taylor from the PS. Send Peko back down and make a trade for a WR or RB and a DT. Now we will see if our coaching is good. My fear is that Daboll is Daboll, an OC who consistently ranks in the bottom 10 no matter what talent he has. -
Is Tremaine Edmunds the answer at MLB?
1st Ammendment NoMas replied to KOKO NFL's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm not so sure about Tremaine, but he is still young and growing into his body. I kind of would like to see him slip over to OLB in Lorax place next year and bring in Bobby Wagner in FA. That would be my big spend and make this D killer elite. With Horrible Harry back and everyone in the system another year, I think we'd finally challenge NE. We just need Josh to develop and spend the rest keeping the Oline in place and getting a stud RB and WR.
