Is the NFL really a passing league?
1st Ammendment NoMas replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Great analysis by billsfan1959. Lamar is an anomaly, but it seems the more balanced offenses are the best. 4 of the top 5 rushing teams and 7 of the top 10 are in the playoffs. So I tend to agree that this is not a passing league as 1 of the top 5 (KC) and only 3 of the top 10 passing teams made the playoffs. The other factor to take into account is RB's catching the ball out of the backfield. RB's like McCaffrey, Eckeler, Kamara, Cohen, Fournette and TE's Kelce, Waller, Ertz, Kittle all had more REC than our #1 John Brown. The short passing game is more like running the ball. The completion percentage is much higher. Why the Bills have not taken advantage of this with Yeldon and Singletary is beyond me. We seem to keep 90% of our passing game in the intermediate game, which is why it is so innefective. Josh Allen ranked #32 in completion percentage as he is forced to throw into tight windows where defenders know and anticipate the play. We failed miserably with the deep balls and took very few shots. We failed miserably with the screen game by not calling enough screens, RPO's and short passes. We had moderate success with the intermediate game with Brown and Beasley, but dropped balls stalled many a drive. I really hope we see some diversity and new wrinkles in the offense this week or I pray that Cleveland is stupid enough to hire Daboll as a head coach. -
Brian Daboll cost us the division title

TJ yeldon is a playmaker

I'd like to see Yeldon and Duke too. Foster to the bench is a necessity. 4 targets today and no catches again. He's useless and I can't believe his drop off in production. I had high hopes for him. Count me in on the Yeldon screens and getting Duke involved, although he did have his share of drops and not a high catch %. We need to get more explosive and open up this offense in the playoffs. If we get past Houston, then it's going to take some real offense to advance deep and get past the top 3. -

He was an annoying squeaky turd falling from Pittsburgh's ass. -
Cole Beasley and drops

Except for Brown. He's had good hands almost all the time. -
A drop is a drop. On third down when you are open and need to make a crucial catch, whether you take your eyes off the ball, fall down, let it bounce off your helmet, chest, gut or hands you did NOT make a catch. Your job is to make catches, especially when the ball is catchable. Allen to Knox is 26/45 at at 57% rate. Kroft 4/8 Sweeney 3/8. Only Foster and Zay Jones rank that low. Our TE's are not doing the job. It needs an upgrade. Our top 2 % receivers are Duke Williams and TJ Yeldon. Both inactive!

Ravens Fans Really Mad....

Two word here that make sense. "NFL rich" and "officials" There is obviously some big fixes designed to sway games. Who, why and for how much is the only question? -
This Team is one year away

anyone can beat anyone on any given day, but are we a better team than the top 5 right now. -

Gore vs Yeldon
1st Ammendment NoMas replied to Ethan in Cleveland's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You and me both. I love what Gore has done, not what he is doing now. I think we need as many weapons and outlets for Josh in the passing game. When he is under pressure, it would be nice to see some dump offs to Yeldon and not have the throw to the gut and drop it Knox plays. -

Top 10 for sure - To get into the top 5 who are we better than here. San Francisco Baltimore New Orleans Kansas City Green Bay Seattle New England Minnesota LA Rams Buffalo Bills Tennesse Titans -
by no means is TE solved. Knox has hands of stone and the ball bounces off his f'kin chest. Sweeney barely made the team, Kroft is a non-factor and Croom is not the answer.

Ed Oliver versus Lamar in 2017 . Wow..

I would truly love to see this repeated to Lamar on Sunday! -
What % do you think we have a chance of winning?
1st Ammendment NoMas replied to Ramza86's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's all about red zone defense. If we hold them to a few FG's and they miss one or two, we can pull this out. If the Bills win, I see a 27-23 game. If the Ravens win I see a 38-27 kind of game. Lamar will get his yards. We just have to contain him in the red zone and make them drive long fields. -
Austin Hooper, FA to be. Would ya?
