Bills Restructure Kroft

This probably means they are out of the Hooper/Henry sweepstakes. Maybe they give Jimmy Graham a shot but I don't think they are going to overspend on the position. Better WR's may be of higher importance now. -
Dawson Knox Rookie Season Highlights
1st Ammendment NoMas replied to TSNBDSC's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Damn he made some great plays, but way too many drops on easy catches in critical situations. I really hope he ups his game next year and learns to catch the easy ones too. The other thing I. noticed and really liked was some really nice ball placement on the throws from Allen. Not easy throws, but placed where only Knox could make a play. -
Hardly Fake news. He had 3 REC for 52 yards. Five other players on the field had more. Chase 9/221 2TD, Jefferson 9/106 even Ross and Galloway had more yds. Do you really want your #1 pick, your stud posting those numbers in big games. He had the chance to up his game in the college playoffs and fell flat. Against OSU in the semi-final he was even worse. 4 REC 33 yards- 0 TD. Once again Ross has 6 catches and Etienne 98 yds receiving. Higgins made no impact in the two biggest games of the year when the competition was at its best. I want my guys rising up when the occasion calls for it, not disappearing. He got blanketed both games and couldn't make plays. Ross outplayed him most of the year, sans a few scrub matches where he boosted his numbers. I say no to Higgins. But I do trust if Beaner picks him, he sees something worth developing.

Yup, never been a fan. He got swallowed up in the National Championship and I just don't see him getting separation or making those tough catches as a pro. I'm hoping we can land Ruggs or Shenault, though the latter seems to be experiencing some injury problems which hopefully causes him to drop. If we don't get either, then go DE/EDGE and take a stab at Peoples-Jones or Claypool in the 2nd/3rd or move up if someone they love drops.

Yup me too. I don't know why experts are always saying wait until rd 3 or 4 to get value. Seems to me teams have been getting value lately out of Jacobs, Barkley, Fournette, McCaffrey, Elliot, Henry (who slipped into Rd #2) and Gurley. Before that, there was no value for awhile and most of the 1st rd RB's flamed out. Taking Trent Richardson at #3 in 2012 cooled the market for 1st Rd RB's for a few years and 2103/14 were just bad years for RB's. Ingram in 2011 was the only good first round back. 2010 was in the infamous C.J. Spiller and Ryan Matthews busts. 2009 was worse with Knowshon Moreno, Donald Brown and Beenie Wells. I think identifying a home run hitter like Taylor or Swift who can contribute immediately and fit your scheme is not a reach @ 22. In the 2nd I'd even give Dobbs a look. I think playmakers are our biggest need on O and D (EDGE) but I'm leaning to offense because it needs a lot more improvement and a few true game breakers can do that.

While all the chatter is about Tommy B and NE's potential QB situation, optimism about the Bills FO, drafting and wish lists for FA, I have a wish list for 2020. I really want to see a sweep of NE next year. A total beatdown and hostile takeover of the AFC East. If somehow NE lands Bridgewater, Hooper and/or another competent QB, will it be enough for them to keep the reigns? As much as I want NY and MIA wins, I think we need this one so much more. We came so close last year and probably should have taken at least one game. I don't want to settle for that next year. I want NE blood and the complete end of the dynasty. What do you gents and ladies wish for next year? GO BILLS

XFL Week 3 game threads

As much as I love football, I still haven't come around to the XFL for some reason. -
OWWWWW! That breaks the WTF barrier at warp speed. I hope no one paid this assclown for his articles. I'm surprised NFL.com would even publicly post such nonsense. Reminds me of that horrible 2012 nightmare trade up in the 3rd. I was jumping up and saying "We're getting Russel Wilson, we are picking Russel Wilson." Pick 69 - I heard them call out T.J. Graham. And just like that, " we suck again"

Does anyone have good intel on his coverage skills? If he's the type to takeover Lorax position and can cover athletic TE's then it is intriguing, but if he is supposed to be a DE who can get to the QB and set the Edge instead of Murphy or Shaq, then it's more of a concern. These 250 lb guys just don't hold up well, especially given a history of season ending injuries. Guys who are 275-290 that are quick to the QB and can exploit an OT are more of what we need.
-
Thanks, Good explanation, but he still seems like one of those guys that is injury prone and a little on the small side. I guess the combine will shake a lot of things up. Then FA. But for the first time in a long time, I actually feel like the Bills will pick the right players and not end up with another Aaron Maybin if we go edge.

I've seen some mocks that are questionable but this one. Picking Terrell Lewis over A.J. Epenesa and Gross-Matos at EDGE/OLB. Does anyone have secret info on this guy that we would make such a move? He's lost 2 seasons due to elbow and knee problems and skipped the Citrus Bowl this year. Seems like damaged goods to waste a #1 pick on. I'd rather get us a playmaker on offense, but if we go edge, and EP and GM are on the board, this would be crazy. Unless Daboll has magic Tide powers we don't know about. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/news/2020-nfl-mock-draft-dolphins-trade-up-to-no-2-as-redskins-pass-on-chase-young-to-get-picks-rebuild-roster/ Let's use this to post all the crazy ass mocks that pop up. Appreciate the banter. I'm so ready for mini-camp and another season to begin. GO BILLS!

They'd never let him go for a 5th. This is a former #1 pick who can play like a #1 pick, just hasn't been in the right offense with the right QB. He may not even be on the block. The good thing is that we know for certain the Bills are placing a priority on upgrading the position. My dream scenario would be: #1 Hooper #2 Henry #3 Olsen All because no trade and cap space. I'd rather not trade and lose assets because FA's #1-2 are already better choices. Get Olsen healthy and limit his snaps and he could also contribute.

Trade for David Johnson?
1st Ammendment NoMas replied to Bleeding Bills Blue's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I hope he gets cut, then we can pick him up on the cheap. Too many injuries and too big a contract to pick up at the present rate. It would have to include some picks and/or other players to take on that bloated contract. -
Greg Olsen visiting Bills, Redskins, Seahawks

As long as you didn't suck, we're all good. Although it does look more like a New York Jet. -
Are there any high risk players worth a gamble?

DGB sucks. Total underachiever. Will be lucky to start in XFL. -
