  1. He was worse at center no doubt.
  2. Not after the disaster last year when he played there.
  3. Byrd really worked on his run support and other aspects of his game the last 2 years. That being said if he is "allowed" to ball hawk like he was when we ran the Cover 2 I think we will see more INTs and exciting plays out of him like we did his rookie year. He was still making plays the last 2 years, just not like his rookie year.
  4. We definitely agree on this one. The NFL needs to get caught up with technology. Everyone at home and the game commentators basically already know whether a call will be overturned or not from the replays the network provides. The guy on the field talking it over with his buddies and players then running under his little cowl like an old time movie takes more time than it needs to. Booth review with instant access to the video and potentially network feeds can do it MUCH faster.
  5. Well at least you proposed a somewhat plausible scenario. The one problem is if Floyd makes it to us I think we will take him unless Buddy likes one of the tackle better. Remember we tried to get Meachem in here despite Buddy saying he "feels good" about our WRs. Interest in Meachem shows that he thinks we could be better.
  6. I get that you think we can get Floyd later which I don't really believe. Floyd will be gone by 15 at the latest I think. Who wants to move up for WHAT? WHAT player would look attractive enough for someone to move up for that we can't use ourselves? WHICH ONE of those 11 teams moves up to get them and WHY?
  7. What an awesome problem to have that would be?!?!?!?!?! We have been acquiring and training 3-4 DEs the last 2 years. Kelsay should stay although I don't like his contract. I hate to say it of a hard working classy player but Kelsay should not be a starter on a great defense. I think he can contribute but we could have a SICK defensive line if we upgrade both 4-3 DE positions. Kelsay? Carrington? ...great back ups. Known commodity veteran and promising youth. I'm trying to turn over a new leaf in the wake of the love fest that was the MW signing. I have ripped Kelsay in the past and called for his replacement but you don't get rid of talent, or relegate them to the bench for that matter, unless you have someone better to replace them. The first week of free agency showed us all hope. We got the best guy possible and I'm sure any fan would call FA an A+ already but....let's do it again Buddy! Keep it rolling! Take advantage of the buzz of what we are trying to build here!
  8. He was ok in a pinch or for some gadget plays but it was obvious that the guys we had playing by mid season couldn't possibly know the position well not to mention Gailey's offense is on the complex side. I just have a feeling that we had to go away from what was working for us in the beginning of the year because we lost all of our speed and couldn't call as many audibles due to playing guys off the street and out of position at WR. Fitz haters blast away but that's my feeling on it. Not to mention it will cause an instant QB controversy after Fitz's first incompletion.
  9. I do this every year and I know it won't change but trade down with WHO...for WHAT? Sorry, just trying to get a feel for if you have a plan or a hope.
  10. It still makes such a great sound though. LOL.
  11. KC also has Peyton Hillis now too. No RB need there!
  12. Nix promised to offer him a contract and make every effort to get something done. The thing not mentioned is will FJ LIKE and SIGN said contract. I believe he deserves some money like Peters did. Just screwing with the fans that are inconsistent in their beliefs or make up BS reasons for why one guy is justified and the other isn't. Football is a business before it is a sport. We had money coming out of our ass and couldn't sign our only probowler, multiyear, to a deal worthy of his promotion to LT but we can sign role player guys you can barely tell are on the field for contracts for more than they are worth.
  13. BY THE WAY. THERE IS ZERO PROOF OF THIS ACTUALLY BEING THE CASE!!! Not a bad idea. But nothing substantiated that I have seen through the usual links.
  14. ROFLOL. Every year dude! I was that guy before until the first "veteran" pointed out you have to have a trade partner, in the right spot and it has to make sense. Let's not forget this is the Bills we are talking about. While we are talking about it if anything how about we MOVE UP high enough to get Kalil or Blackmon? That would be the poop!
  15. We need real #2 and #3 WRs. Wildcat QBs and RBs don't cut it. That was our problem last year. The crap we had that was ahead of those guys on the depth chart got hurt and it was down hill from there. Not to mention other than CJ playing WR for a game or two we had no WRs with 4.3 speed and other than SJ no guys that created any real separation from DBs.
  16. I hope you and Bills of Boston are right. It's a damn good sign if Mario is already attempting to lure talent here. Buddy has a plan. Everyone he has brought in has basically turned into a recruiter for us. Merriman, Barnett, maybe now Super Mario. Nice job front office. Whether we get more pieces or not keep looking, keep trying. This team has needed talent for years. Good to see a front office that recognizes that fact and appears to be doing something about it.
  17. Not one bit. He is under contract like Jason Peters was.
  18. I don't think those numbers are right for Willis. I seem to remember him posting a 4.37 in the 40! Maybe it was a proday though.
  19. He's going to be a Bill and he will get game planned every week. "Under" without question. I honestly expect about 9 - 11 for Mario but his impact to the team will be MUCH larger than his sack total. The better question to ask would be what is the over/under for TEAM sacks? If everyone stays healthy which is our problem every year I think the over/under for team sacks for 2012 is 40 up from 29 for 2011. I would take a very optimistic over. I think that the addition of Mario, Dareus with an actual off season this year to train and a healthy KW should account for 16+ sacks over last year as the TEAM will be better as a whole for signing Mario.
  20. Damn it....the Titans got a deal AND they are even playing him out of position. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/03/20/titans-kamerion-wimbley-agree-to-five-year-deal/
  21. Now ya got it. I haven't followed Kamerion's career but in addition to rushing the passer he can apparently drop back and cover well. Sounds like a guy that would make our base 4-3 more effective against both the pass(rushing/covering) and the run(OLB). We might not need to play nickel as much. I hope this is BS. $7 million a year? We were all figuring $11+ million a year. This guy got stolen by the Titans.
  22. Our love of DBs predates Jauron. Take a look. I'm talking back into the 90's.
  23. Unless you think Martin goes before Reiff, which he may, I'm thinking Martin could be our pick. I'm not in love with a guy they are projecting to RT. I think we may go with someone to PLAY outside LB. Ingram? Mercilus? Upshaw for rushing downs? Can't rule out a CB. If our draft history says ANYTHING it says we love DBs!
  24. "LEAD" a team or "HAPPEN TO BE" the team's QB when they make the playoffs in spite of him in a week division?
  25. I knew it was only a matter of time before this thread was started. I just didn't expect it so quickly. If we are making trades it has to be for day 1 starters not guy to groom on the bench and create QB controversies. Tebow would polarize and divide the fan base and therefore the locker room. NO THANKS!!!!!
