  1. ROFLOL...sad but true.
  2. I agree! INTs are easy to come by. A mediocre safety averages 1 or 2 INTs a game...whoops...I mean season!
  3. Trent doesn't have to retire. HE CAN HAVE A FINE CAREER AS JP'S BACK UP IN LAS VEGAS IN THE NEW FOOTBALL LEAGUE!!!!
  4. He'll take some chances which I respect in the way of personal injury. But he's more a wimp because he can't take the punishment not so much because he is afraid of the hit.
  5. I don't know if I feel like watching the Bills lose while "Stella" tries to get her groove back. Unless we have some plan for making this happen, waiting for some magical rebirth of confidence is waste of our time. This is a business and a team. Fans and the other 52 players on the roster shouldn't be made to suffer in the hopes that this happens. If we have a plan and Trent can be coached to take the chances that Fitz did then fine. If not Trent doesn't deserve it. Where are all of the people that say that Trent plays "trentative" because he is taking on the personality of his coach and that that is the way he is instructed to play? Didn't seem to be the case with Fitz
  6. Agreed. Personally my bet is on fail but we should give him the chance if not for anything else to prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that he sucks. Just like JP I guess we just have to accept that no matter how bad he looks someone will make excuses for his poor play and blame it on someone else.
  7. Yes, it's his or at least his researcher's job! ....WRONG!!!!! Evans has been open! Keep swingin' from the sack though!!
  8. I'll give you that today. Our defense made Sanchez look like the rookie he is. Obviously he has been thrown into the fire to see what he has. If Trent were playing the 6th game of his NFL career it would be a better comparison. The one thing I will say is not fact or stat related but it's simple math: (Mark Sanchez Balls) = 5 x (Trent Edwards Balls)
  9. Not to be a jerk but I said "totaled" not dented. "Totaled" means the repair costs are in excess of the vehicle's actual value In other words it's not worth the effort. Even if you do fix the "corvette" you still have a vehicle that was at one point demolished and will never be what it was before the accident. Who cares how he got to the state he has, the point is it's not worth sticking with him. That being said I would like to see Fitz play a few games to see what he has. If he succeeds and then we put back in Edwards and he fails again perhaps the Trent apologists will shut up and not be able to complain that he got the JP Losman treatment even though they didn't accept that as a valid excuse for JP either.
  10. Jauron is not a great coach BUT THIS IS DEFINITELY WHERE I AGREE WITH PEOPLE WHO SAY JAURON IS A BAD COACH!!! Trent should have been benched a while ago when it became evident he can't effectively utilize his WRs. Not saying Fitz is the best thing we have had since Kelly but the guy attempted NFL throws and took some chances. I would rather lose taking some chances and playing with balls than playing it checkdown safe and losing by a "respectable" margin. Oh.....and BONUS.....we actually won!!!!
  11. The happiness comes from seeing Fitz get to play QB not for Edwards getting hurt. It's sad that the only way we got to see Fitz play was due to Trent getting hurt. NON Trent apologists were so tired of watching Trent fail and seeing the team lose each week.
  12. Let's be honest. There were a LOT of Bills fans that were happy to see that Trent was unable to continue to play. It's sad that a decent guy got hurt but at the same time we were ELATED to see someone willing to take some chances and play with balls without the benefit of any practice time with the first string offense. BILLS WIN! BILLS WIN! BILLS WIN!
  13. I'm referring to Trent Edwards [period] Does it really matter? A Corvette that has been totaled in an accident is still a totaled piece of crap!!!! Doesn't matter how it got into the shape it is...IT STILL WON'T WIN YOU THE RACE!!l
  14. Have you forgotten last year so quickly?
  15. ARE YOU KIDDING? I saw more velocity on Fitz's balls than Edwards. If Fitz doesn't have an NFL arm then Trent has a high school varsity arm!!!!!
  16. Maybe if he actually gets the starter reps in cam to throw to Evans, Owens, etc he can work those things out. As someone already said a backup QB after preseason is an afterthought. He could get better with starter reps.
  17. It's a typical play it safe vs take some chances scenario. Fitz wasn't lights out better tonight but he had the balls to throw to WR. Apparently Fitz was playing behind a different line as he had time to look down field that Edwards didn't. Apparently we also were playing with different WR as they were actually open this game where as they never got open for Edwards.....Riiiiiiight!
  18. TO DOES drop balls. But it was the same TO playing WR for Fitz as it was for Edwards. Surprise surprise Fitz actually threw to his WR and OMG Lee Evans got a TD on a pass that hit him in stride and BOOM TD time. Our defense had a lot to do with this win even thought SOME people like to claim it sucks and that Fewell can't coach. WRONG!!!! They gave up a hell of a lot of rushing yards but they made Sanchez look like the rookie his is.
  19. Even if that is true they are responsible for putting and keeping Trent on the field. A change in front office effects free agents and draft picks for next year. WHAT WE CAN DO NOW...is change the QB they are responsible for promoting and backing, Trent!
  20. Yep Trent is the best we have now at playing it safe and not putting TDs on the board. I'll take some mistakes and bad pass if our QB can also get a FREAKIN WR into the endzone.
  21. Fitz played with balls and doing that you are going to make some mistake. On the flip side you are also going to put some points on the board. 126 offensive plays no TD under Edwards. "Nuff said"
  22. 126 offensive plays with no TD under Edwards. Fitzpatrick hit Evans, who some say isn't a #1, in stride and magically we get a TD. It wasn't an amazing game by Fitz but imagine if he got all the reps with the starters like Edwards. Edwards did start of nice I will say but Fitz did put point on the board.
  23. Don't say that. That is the Edwards defense. He has a good win loss record. LOL
  24. riiiight...I'll trust your opinion over the coaches, players, GMs and scouts whose opinions count more the fan voting or your's or mine. How does it feel to be so self important that you think your opinion means more than there's when it comes to evaluating talent? Seriously this is our problem. We get a guy or two in the pro bowl and we can't even give them props for it and we run them down. You can debate this guy over that guy in a few instances but long story short you don't get there by being average or sucking.
  25. Ya right! This is a Byrd Whitner thread but the problem with Maybin right now, as was said when we drafted him, is that he is a situational pass rusher. We never get ahead of opponents to the point where we can get them into a pass every down mode. Right now teams have just been running our asses over as our offense can't put any points on the board to necessitate passing to keep up with us. I used to think Jauron was modeling us after his early turn of the millennium Bears. I have since realized with the installation of the no huddle he has been trying to model us after the Colts all along! Problem is we don't have their offensive or defensive lines and Trent Edwards is NOT Peyton Manning. Honestly he couldn't even hold Peyton's sweaty old jock.
