  1. This is what everyone who is bemoaning the Bills not making a move for a qb this year needs to remember. The Bills met with all of the top prospects. Although you may feel one of these guys will be a franchise guy the Bills clearly didn't think mahomes or watson would be. Therefore they set themselves up to be in a better position for qb next year which by many accounts may have better prospects. They are addressing the qb position but they chose to pick one of the guys from next year's class instead of this one. jeffismagic you always talk about long term planning and here is an example of the Bills doing exactly that. You can't complain that "wrestler sean" will only think short sighted and then complain when he thinks strategically for the long term.
  2. Yeah I was still surprised by the result though. BEst series of the 2nd round is Houston - San Antonio imo. I'm really excited to watch even if I think the Spurs will win in the end. GS, Cle, and Boston are all locks in my mind. The only series that offers me intrigue is the all Texas matchup
  3. that wheelchair was some bs. however knowing that it was because he pooped his pants makes it a little better. Hate Pierce for that melodrama. Hate the clippers for "basketball reasons." I'm happy the jazz took them out!
  4. Imagine if other teams came here to see our reaction and judged the lot of us on one or 2 posters. we have our fair share of idiots too.
  5. Me too it certainly appears that they are looking to 2018 for QB
  6. For sure but the plan is to have him sit and by all accounts he is raw and needs to sit for a bit. Not saying it couldn't happen I'm just saying without the benefit of hindsight this is how I see it now and why I like the deal so much. For me it is the coaching though. Reid gets a lot of credit for Favre who is one of the comps you hear regularly for Mahomes. It is part of why I can see them liking him so much and also why I feel it is such a good landing spot for him.
  7. Yeah hindsight may change the makeup of this deal for sure. I really like this landing spot for Mahomes. This is one of those situations much like Dak last year that a guy landed in an excellent spot. Even if he excels in KC it is no guarantee he would here or elsewhere. Something I thought of last night. The Chiefs gave up their 1st for a guy they won't be playing this year. They also gave up a 3rd this year and their 1st next year. That is 2 premium picks this year they won't have to improve their team and next year (2018) may be when Mahomes takes over. If the Bills grab their guy next year they are in a very similar situation to KC with a young guy ready to start and extra picks to boot. I don't know if I explained that well enough but basically Mahomes doesn't benefit KC this year but hopefully (for them) he does in 2018 the Bills will have 2 1sts in 2018 to get a qb that can do the same. KC could see a regression next year as they won't be adding a 1st or 3rd round talent to contribute this year so that 1st next year might not be as late as we expect. The last 4 years prior they were 18,23,1, and 11.
  8. Again you are off the mark. Keep trying though this is very amusing.
  9. Man you just missed the point entirely...
  10. You can bash Whaley for a lot of things; poor public speaking for one, questionable use of draft capital, etc... This idea that he is responsible for 20 years of 2 qbs in the first round is asinine. He has made trades for Qbs, spent draft picks on QBs, signed FA QBs. He hasn't sat around doing nothing like you want to pretend. You have created this false narrative already with "wrestler Sean" and that if he doesn't take a qb this year he's done. You have decided because you "talked to a couple of guys" that Mahomes is sure fire can't miss. The Bills have clearly done their diligence with this class. If they take a guy it is because they think he can be the guy and I will be happy and hope he is. If they don't it's because they don't believe they will be. So they disagree with your guys and only time will tell who is right however you will be here tonight pitching doom and gloom. Further I think you have made your point that you don't like Pegula, Whaley, TT, etc... you don't need to post it in every thread. We got it buddy we know how you feel. I'm "bothering" because your non-stop posting on these points has crossed from conversation to straight up whining and is just obnoxious.
  11. Whaley was doing the board but not calling the shots? So it is his fault? Listen man I know the day has come and your epic meltdown is only a few hours away but please don't be disingenuous in your bashing. There is plenty to blame for 17 years of missing the playoffs but you can't put things on people if they aren't their fault. Putting other GMs failures on this one is flat out stupid. Putting Ralph's failing on the Pegulas is dumb. The Bills in totality have sucked but Whaley isn't responsible for drafting before 2013. Pegula isn't responsible for Ralph's reign either. You're everywhere on the board and post the same 4 things. Pegula sucks, Whaley sucks, TT sucks, and Mahomes is amazing. You could sing a different tune once in a while...
  12. I did it in another thread for you. Since Whaley has come on board it's 2 and they are possible but not yet proven. Dak and Carr. That's it.
  13. I don't see Conley going undrafted. I guess we will see whether teams think the accusation is credible or not.
  14. This is an amazing cover! I start my music playlist about once a week with this song. I work with a guy who trades music ideas with me. If I know of someone I let him know and he does likewise as we have pretty different tastes in music. Karise Eden was a contestant on the Australian Voice or one of those singing shows and she did a phenomenal cover of Hallelujah. My favorite cover of all time is probably this song. Beth Hart and Joe Bonamassa are just an incredible duo.
  15. I've been leaning this way since McDermott's presser. It sure seems like a great possibility Whaley will be gone after the draft. He may stay on but I won't be surprised either way. Someone mentioned in another thread the picture the day of the Hockey firings and the body language from Terry and Kim towards Whaley APPEARED (capitalized as I know it is specualtion) to be cold towards Doug. Could have been a million things but I definitely noticed coldness especially from Kim.
  16. So I did some looking in the stadium wall archives. Gilly re-signing on January 4th, 2016 did not even generate a thread. It didn't even get a 26cornerblitz post! 1 year later and we have a 60+ and 30+ page thread. For a guy with 100 carries. I wonder how many pages this thread would be if say Tampa Bay signed him
  17. I disagree with both of these statements. Russel Wilson is a great comp for what Taylor can be. Their numbers through 2 years are very close as well. Russ is at his best moving around and out of the pocket. The majority of his big plays are broken plays or him rolling out. Cam is not a great passer by any stretch of the imagination. He has completed more than 60% of his passes 2 out 6 years and none of the last 3. He is at his best wearing defenses down with his size and is improving as a passer but he isn't a pocket passer in my mind.
  18. I hope so BB is amazing at the personnel side as well as coaching. He certainly isn't perfect. Back to the first line in your post though "What's right for the Pats isn't necessarily right for the Bills." We 100% agree on that. So paying a RB who will see about 100 touches 4 million dollars isn't right for the Bills. Couldn't this move be "right" for both teams? The Pats are in a great position with the salary cap because players will take less to play for them. There aren't a lot of guys willing to do that for Buffalo. Brady takes less to improve the team around him, he also makes middling players look better. The Bills giving 4 million to Gilly would be a terrible move imo and a waste of cap space. As for the last part I am simply stating if the shoe was on the other foot Whaley would be crucified for this move. If all of the factors line up people wouldn't care if Peterson was a better fit. This would be brought up every time his performance was discussed. My original post was just to say that you can't call out Kirby for making up his mind on it when you have done so yourself. You think it is a great move in large part because of who executed it but a great move none the less. I don't feel the same mainly because he is a backup rb that they found as a street fa. Losing him doesn't move my needle because he replaced Karlos who also did the same and is now out of the league. Perhaps Williams can do the same or another player?
  19. You keep asking this question so I will give you an answer. Does it have to be a rebuild where everything is completely torn down? Maybe the Bills think they can be competitive and hope to have some bounces go their way while they continue to build a team where they compete consistently. Could it be that they are building? From 7-9 and 17-15 over the 2 previous years maybe they want to build on that instead of completely tearing it down. I know you think they are way away from being a playoff team, but in a league where Miami made the playoffs last year and were swept by the Bills the previous year, they might not be...
  20. I think the intention was for the Bills to match. I don't think the Pats* thought that Buffalo would let him go. I think they kind of got caught holding the bag here. As to the bolded you are doing the same. You think it was a great deal because the Pats did it. It MIGHT work out for them but in no world is TD Mike worth as much as Peterson let alone the draft compensation. If the Bills signed another teams backup rb for 4 million this place would melt down. If they did that and had to give up a 5th this place would melt down. If they did all that and AP signed for less money the next day I would be here with popcorn.
