  1. How does 54 touchdowns to 14 interceptions sound? Because that's Taylor's record as Bills quarterback -- 44 TD passes, 10 rushing touchdowns, 14 picks. Taylor has rushed for 1,322 yards for an average of 5.6 yards per-turn. We would all be pumped if we drafted a guy that did this through his first 2 seasons in the league. Somehow TT doing it isn't enough in his first starting action. the Bills are 19-16 in games started by Tyrod Taylor. That's a .542 winning percentage, better than any Bills quarterback since Doug Flutie, better among those with a season or more starts than all but Flutie, Jim Kelly and Jack Kemp in team history. Through the Rex debacle and with a team most said was tanking at the start of this year. Taylor has the best quarterback rating in Bills history, 93.8, among those that have thrown more than 10 passes. One of the best qbs in franchise history... The Bills have a durable starting quarterback that almost never turns the ball over and is as much a running threat as any quarterback in the NFL. How does that sound? Sounds great to me. Especially when you add in the numbers listed above. Maybe just appreciate what the current quarterback of the team is doing. The sentence that sums up my feelings about TT the best.
  2. After watching him in the preseason game I think it is the Bills who are protecting him. He didn't have it and looked incredibly slow out there. I wonder if his roster spot might not have been secure so he took "retirement."
  3. What? Has Tyrod improved from last season to this season? If he has then how is he maximized?
  4. http://www.espn.com/blog/baltimore-ravens/post/_/id/40012/joe-flaccos-fall-from-super-bowl-mvp-to-31st-ranked-passer-hits-national-stage Interesting article ahead of tonight's game. I have been saying for a while now that Tyrod is better than Flacco. He has been pretty bad the last few years and it has gone on for long enough to not be a coincidence. From the article: From the start of the 2013 season to the end of last season, Flacco had thrown the second-most interceptions in the NFL (trailing only Eli Manning) and ranked 36th in passer rating. Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco ranks 26th or worse in six of seven major passing categories: CATEGORY NO. RANKING Passing yards 1,189 28th Comp pct. 63.8 14th Yards per attempt 5.3 32nd TDs 5 26th INTs 8 28th Rating 70.0 31st Total QBR 30.0 30th I think the Ravens would have been better served going with Tyrod although I know why they didn't. It would have been impossible to move on from him right after a super bowl. However I think he is paying the price for his salary which weakened the team around him. Time to remove him from the "franchise qb" list and move him over to Brad Johnson territory?
  5. Flaky dinner rolls made me think of another favorite easy recipe. Crescent rolls, chicken tenders, ham, swiss cheese. Cook tenders, place swiss on top, wrap with ham (deli ham or leftover ham), stretch crescent roll around it. Cook until crescent roll is done. Bam chicken cordon bleu you can grab and go with. Anytime we have left over ham this gets made. Cheap, easy, quick, portable. What more do you need from a snack/meal.
  6. So easy to make I'm almost embarrassed when it is dish to pass and people bring actual food while I get requested to bring something that takes 15 minutes to do lol almost
  7. My favorite anytime app: Cheddar bacon ranch cheese ball 8oz block cheddar shredded (or be lazy and buy it already shredded). 2 sticks cream cheese 1/2 pound bacon cooked 1 packet ranch seasoning Let cream cheese soften. Crumbled bacon and split into 2 parts. Roll cream cheese, shredded cheese, 1/4 lb bacon, and the ranch dressing mix together. Form a ball. Take said ball after it is formed and roll it in the remaining bacon to cover the outside. Put in fridge to cool. Serve with ritz or other preferred crackers. Huge hit every time I bring it.
  8. Weo got banned?!?!?! I was wondering where he was! Congrats first off KtD I enjoy your takes here and am glad to see you getting this opportunity! On to the subscription. I will hold my personal opinion on the subject at hand but I wanted to ask a few questions: Is it $2.99/month all year long? Or does the price go down during the off season when there is less to read/digest? Is their an option to pay the full year up front? Is there a discount for that option?
  9. So Tyrod IS the best qb the Bills have ever had! I knew it! Obviously joking there but that is a wild stat.
  10. Yeah I think the nuance is being missed that although they are lucky to occur according to the study year to year they certainly have much to do with team success. It even acknowledges qb's not throwing ints as a good thing.
  11. I feared him simply for the Buffalo motivation factor. I don't think you can turn back on what he had. When he shut off the competitiveness last year it has to be incredibly hard to get back to that.
  12. Wait is this ever? Jim Kelly never did this?
  13. I agree. It looked like Taiwan slowed down for a split second too on that play. I really liked the designed runs showing up again in this game. I really don't like bootlegs where he rolls left as I don't know if he has completed one yet this year doing it. There is certainly some progress there in throwing to the middle, utilizing tes, going through progressions, etc... I hope people watched the 9 teams in the league that didn't score an offensive td this week to point out all of the missed throws by those qbs. Or perhaps the 7 attempts by Trubisky. I had Tyrod about 20th best qb in the league coming into the year and he is moving up. I would be interested to see you do a mid-season update of your list that you had last season (offseason maybe?). I haven't listed them out yet myself but I think Tyrod is trending in the right direction so far this year.
  14. you don't have to tell me. now that jfh has stepped down I may be the biggest TT fan on the board. He's exciting and makes a handful of wow plays each game. I also think he is still a work in progress and we are seeing him get better each year. this year he has answered the criticism of not being able to throw in the middle, not carrying a team when the run game is off, not using his tes, not going through progressions, etc... He's not perfect but I watch a ton of other teams and he is much better (imo) than a lot of qbs out there. He was around the 20th best qb to me coming into this year and I think he has moved up. To your point I wish he was surrounded by some of the talent these other guys are. Wentz and Goff are perfect examples. The eagles went out and got Alston and Blount, the rams went out and got woods, watkins, cupp, and a new proven lt. I would love to see more skill players brought in for TT. in each of the last 5 super bowls a team in the top 5 rushing has been there. 6 of the 10 teams were top 10. You're certainly making a point I just don't think it's the one you intended lol.
  15. These skits always make me laugh. Weirdly they were hard to find on youtube. I have a soft spot for Timberlake. When my daughter was an infant his music would always calm her down. I have a video of her screaming inconsolably and my wife turns it on. She is silent and smiling in less than 30 seconds. He will always be okay in my book for that reason
  16. The Seahawks were a run heavy and should have been back to back champs if they were smart enough to run the ball. The Broncos when they won were a run heavy team. So you know the last 2 teams that weren't led by possibly the greatest qb of all time won with run heavy/strong defensive teams. We would be winless without this dominant running game? Well the run game hasn't been dominant this year. Here are the Bills rushing totals excluding Tyrod's contributions: 152, 14, 104, 63, 79, and 120. That average of 88.67 would place the Bills at 26th best run game. 4 of 6 games the Bills have run for less than 3.5 ypc. The other 2 are games where Tyrod himself averaged 4.8 and 8.8. Speaking of the Seahawks and Russel Wilson do you know that during their super bowl run he was throwing for 103, 215, and 206 yards respectively? During their 2 years of back to back super bowls Russel Wilson threw for 300 yards 4 times total and zero times in the playoffs. We have no idea what this team is capable of. definitely meant it as a compliment. I don't expect people's opinion to change overnight but it is refreshing to see someone open to the idea of changing their mind. That certainly isn't the norm around here. It adds a lot of credibility to the rest of your posts even if I don't agree with your opinions. (at least to me again not that it means much )
  17. Every single player that talks about Tyrod heaps praise on him. As long as the guys on the team believe in him he can be successful. I love cheering for this guy! The whole post was great but specifically this part. I looked through 300 yard games and found only 2 of the 49 came on less than 30 attempts and each of those were 29 attempts. Further down the rabbit hole 23 of the 49 were without ints. I don't know that I would trade Jameis' 70 extra yards of offense for 2 turnovers. Jameis is a much better passer than Tyrod I don't think that is arguable but there is more to being a quarterback than just passing. Taking care of the ball is an incredibly important aspect. I give you a lot of credit for this post. I know it doesn't mean anything to do so but I just wanted to point it out. As one of Tyrod's biggest critics it is nice to see you show up and be supportive after a well played game. Not all of the anti-TT guys do that. Cheers!
  18. I think it has more to do with injuries and a hurricane which put their whole schedule out of whack than Hard Knocks. Teams records don't suffer after being on Hard Knocks I had the numbers somewhere but lost them and a quick google search brought me nothing recent. Bad teams stayed bad, good teams were good, hard knocks had little apparent effect on records.
  19. Lakers looked rough last night. Then again my expectations are extremely low for them. When Brook Lopez is your best player... Ingram still looks way to skinny. He has to fill out that body before he will be able to take the next step. I thought Lonzo looked a little timid. We also saw for the first time what he is going to deal with for a while with Patrick Beverly bringing a little something extra due to Lavar. Gonna be an interesting year but one filled with growing pains for the Lakers.
  20. Yeah Verlander threw a ton of pitches last game as well. I'm more excited for this game than I have a baseball game since I don't know when. Hope the Yanks can close it out tonight as I don't have the nerves for a game 7!
  21. Yup and those were my favorite teams. I was never big on Posada though. Blasphemy but I always pined for Jason Varitek as I thought he called a fantastic game. Bernie was my guy and obviously Jeter and as I stated earlier Mo is my favorite baseball player of all time. I love pitchers that say here is what I got can you hit it? That is why this team is sucking me back in. It is young guys much like the late 90s teams. I think we are seeing the start of something special (hopefully).
  22. It happened right after my 11th birthday. My baseball knowledge outside of the Yankees and Mets was what cards I had collected and some teams out west. The first world series game I got to stay up for was the earthquake game as it was on my birthday. That happened 2 years before the trade. Even with the reds winning the world series I didn't watch much of that as I hated the Athletics. I agree about Yankees fans and their idea of buying titles (that didn't even work). Rooting for the Yankees was and is so much better when they are guys you have watched develop. Younger ball players have an exuberance that most of the old guys don't.
