NBA lays out gambling plan, wants cut of bets
section122 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in Off the Wall Archives
If this goes through I will never believe that it isn't rigged. This is an incredibly slippery slope here! These greedy mother!@#$ers are going to ruin sports even more than they already have. -
I have thought this since the end of the season. Gettleman having a working relationship with Beane is great news for the Bills. I'm not a big Darnold guy but I would love to see Buffalo move up and grab their guy! I'll keep banging this drum but the Bills might be the most attractive trade partner in the league due to having 2 first rounders this year. A trade down wouldn't force a gm to wait a year to reap the benefits. By the new chart it wold cost the Bills both first and both 2nds and they would get 2 and the giants 7th rounder. By the old chart it would be a bit heftier and cost the Bills a 2019 2nd rounder as well. Neither are crippling trades especially if the guy turns out to be a franchise type guy.

ESPN Insider 2017 Re-Drafts Top 5 (Mahomes)
section122 replied to Jamie Muellers Ghost's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Fournette's job was to run into the line repeatedly. He did that very well. He also had an injury that slowed him in the middle of the year and cost him 3 games. It is hard to quantify Cook's season over Fournette's as the sample size was so small. That said I could pick 5 guys easily to be a top 5 and leave Fournette out. Lattimore, Watson, Our own Tre White, Kamara if a rb is picked, and Jamal Adams. 3 dbs is a bit unreasonable so maybe add a tj watt? Maybe Cam Robinson? Mahomes and Trubisky shouldn't be in there though at this point. Maybe after year 3 it looks dumb to not have them in they just didn't do anything last year to warrant them being there now imo. -
You take that back! I went from memory but after looking it up I guess I can't argue that they didn't do much without him I just won't agree that they are mostly crap

Styx and Dennis DeYoung. Yeah I love Styx.
-
Do it. When he first struck out I thought he was just a gimmick but he is fantastic on the guitar. I was really surprised at his range. How about some love for Steve Vai. Solo starts 2+ minutes in but this guy is also incredible there are so many it is hard to pick 1 but you can't go wrong with this.
-
Man there are so many. Are we talking speed solo? Technical solo? Or just overall great solo? Guitar solos are the thing that will draw me to a song and get me to play it over and over. So I'll probably end up competing with gugny for most posts in this thread! I guess we can start here. I had a hard time deciding between this and still got the blues but since this was the first song of his I discovered I'll go with it. Joanne Shaw Taylor. Check her out. Not only is she absolutely gorgeous but she shreds as well.

That is a strange list to me. Stafford is clearly the best qb in that group. Flacco is worse than Tyrod. Eli is on his way down and also performing worse that TT. Dalton is somewhere on par with Tyrod. Tannehill also about on par with Tyrod. I think Cousins fits in the next group after WIlson, Ben, and Ryan. Rivers would be in the Cousins group for me with Stafford. That is the level of qb. Borderline top 10 guy depending on the week to me. I don't think that should command 25 million either I just think he is better than most of the guys you tried to group him with.

Bon Jovi on Howard Stern Talking Buffalo Bills
section122 replied to K D's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Most surprising development in this thread: Weo listens to Stern. I never would have guessed but agree with your reasons. He is a fantastic interviewer. I don't care much for the rest of the stuff most of the time but his interviews are generally the best you will hear. He puts people at ease and gets them to open up like nobody else I can think of. People don't "stick to the script" with him. It is a unique and underappreciated talent imo. Least surprising development in this thread: ShadyBillsfan offers an uninformed opinion and then won't back off of it -
The bolded was supposedly what happened to Kaepernick as well. Early success led to him not developing his game. Then the league figured him out and he didn't/couldn't adapt.

Nate you don't have the coordination for that!

I have tried everything to give these away! Lol I even called the Ronald McDonald house to offer them. Even they said it started too late for them!

Not one mention for 15 minutes? That movie caught me so off guard I immediately watched it again. Gonna have to rewatch and see if it held up

Would 6 rings for NE diminish future SB winners?
section122 replied to TheFunPolice's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Maybe for a bit because the talking heads will make it a point. I don't think history will be kind to the Patriots legacy. There is spygate, deflategate, hgh to several players, etc. and I think more will come out as time goes on. It will come out that Brady used peds and that will really hurt the legacy. Brady has also kind of gone of the deep end with his whole tb12 "diet." Will be interesting to watch and I can't wait to see the real story behind the Patriots dominance. -
This move to the acc has been annoying as a fan. Can't catch games on tv and then 9 pm starts. Unfortunately that means I can't use my tickets to tonights game. So if there is an SU fan among us who would like 2 free tickets to tonight's game let me know. I can email them to you or have them waiting at will call for you. Quote this post if you are interested so I get a notification.

Turned it on late, saw the ridiculous pi, saw the td thay certainly would have been overturned against ne, turned it back off. Enjoy gentlemen I'm gonna go do something way less frustrating on a Saturday night! -
Draft a guy in the first. Draft a later round guy and have him compete with Peterman for the 3rd string/developmental spot. (I have no doubt Peterman would make it to the ps if they cut him in preseason potentially allowing 4 qbs on the roster). Keep Tyrod until that first round pick beats him out. It might be in training camp, it might be a few weeks into the season, it might be 2019. My defense: There is no reason to not try and improve the qb position. There is also no reason to make the team worse at qb. So Tyrod has proven he can win behind center and the team can continue to be competitive until the rookie is ready to take over the position. This seems like a win win for the team. If the lights come on for Tyrod (yes a very longshot) great, if not the Bills have an actual alternative (not a 5th round hope and prayer). After next year Tyrod can find a new team, the Bills will have no dead money from him, and hopefully be set with their franchise guy for the next 10-15 years! Piece of cake! You could have saved me a lot of typing if you had posted 5 minutes earlier!!! This plan is excellent!!!
-
Sweet I look forward to it. Do you plan on going through all the top guys? Jackson, Mayfield, Rudolph, and Allen look to be the guys the Bills have a shot at.
-
Yeah me either but I am sure there are some. This is an interesting year wrt the qb position. There are going to be so many camps even if/when the Bills draft a qb people are going to be mad. I haven't dove in yet but watched a lot of Mayfield and Darnold this year. I see the hype for Darnold and get why its there but he screams bust to me at the next level. I like Mayfield's moxy and style of play. Gonna be an interesting offseason!
-
Those are very troubling negatives. Are there any examples of a guy coming in with these issues and actually correcting them? I'm drawing a blank trying to think of someone. Specifically the missing routine throws. It isn't going to get easier and the windows will get smaller.
-
I'm not on twitter but couldn't Bills fans start a write in campaign? It would at least garner some attention for him. That said this is less than nothing. The Pepsi roty is not some amazing prestigious award. It appears to be a "hey I've heard of him" or "he did well for me in fantasy" award.

Lorax says more DE for him next year
section122 replied to John from Riverside's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I like this move as I think his leadership is invaluable to this team. Wonder if he'll still do special teams as well?
