It really is incredible when you look around the NFL. Here is some more did you knows: The Bills old man rushing attack currently is the 11th ranked rushing attack. The Bills score more points per game than the Minshew mania led Jaguars and the OBJ/Landry/Mayfield/Chubb Browns. The Bills have more passing tds than super rookie sensation Kyler Murray's Cardinals. The Bills are 1 of 3 teams giving up less than 300 ypg on defense, less than 200 yards passing per game, and less than 17 ppg. The Patriots and Niners are the other 2 teams that accomplish that feat.

So much doom and gloom for a 6-2 team. Enjoy it. It has been 25 freaking years. I watch a lot of other games. Too many. I then watch highlights of the games I miss during midnight feedings. So I wanted to put some things in one thread game by game to show you that you can actually enjoy the success. The Bills only beat the Jets 17-16. Can you believe that? If they were good like say the Cowboys they wouldn't have needed a 4th quarter come back to win. Oh wait the Jets beat the Cowboys. The Giants game was as complete a game as they played and dominated this one. If you complained about this one you are a terrible person and you should feel bad. The Bills needed a 4th quarter comeback at home to beat the sad sack Bengals. If they were good like Seahawks that would never happen! Oh wait Russel Wilson did just that and even landed on 21 points same as the Bills. They can't hang with the Patriots! Oh wait they held the Patriots to their lowest point total of the season? Wait they played the closest game save for the Ravens winning of any team in the NFL? The Bills offense is terrible if only they had a real qb like Matt Ryan they would have scored more than 14 points. Oh wait the Falcons only scored 10 points against the Titans? Can you believe the Bills only won by 10 against the Lolphins and were only up 3 late. If only they were good like the Eagles they wouldn't struggle with these sad sack teams. Oh wait the Eagles lost to the 1-7 Falcons? Speaking of the Eagles, can you believe they ran for so many yards and put up 31 points against this defense? If only they were as good as the Packers that would never happen. Oh wait the Packers gave up 34 points and 176 rushing yards? If they were a great defense like say the Patriots they would never give up over 200 yards rushing. Oh wait that just happened to the Patriots? Can you believe the Bills were only up 1 score in the 4th quarter agains the Redskins? No I don't care that they won by 2 tds that isn't good enough. If only they were as good as the 49ers they would have beat the doors off of them. Oh wait they only won by 9? How about if they were as hot as the Vikings? oh wait they only won by 10? point of this thread? A win is a win. Every team is talented in the NFL stacking ws is all that matters. Stop trying to poo poo everything and realize that each game is a struggle no matter who you are. The Patriots just lost by 17 to the same Ravens team that lost by 15 to the Browns who lost by 14 to the Patriots. There is no need for the Bills to apologize for the schedule. The Bills are 6-2. The freaking Buffalo Bills are 6-2. It is November 5th and not only are they still in contention, they are 1 loss outside of the division lead and tied for the 2nd best record in the conference. Watch some other teams and realize none of them are perfect either. Go Bills!!!

Strange I don't recall either of them being socialists. Medicare for all is a socialist program no denying it but supporting it doesn't make you a socialist. Farming subsidies are a socialist program. Do we now hate all those farmers for benefiting from a socialist program? Or does supporting it make us socialists? 182 Republicans supported $867 million in farmers aid just in December. Should we stop subsidizing middle america (my answer is no obviously)? There are so many "socialist" programs already in place. Medicare, Social Security, SNAP, etc.. Interesting choice in Venezuela too when almost the entire world has some sort of free or universal health care. In fact 8 of the top 10 GDP countries in the world have some sort of universal health care.   It works for the rest of the world but somehow the US can't figure it out. Taxes go up!!! That is the republican talking point. Don't pay attention to the fact that you no longer have insurance premiums, co-pays, or prescription costs and in many cases people will save money. Don't pay attention to the fact that your health care is tied to your employer and losing your job means you don't have insurance any longer. A couple of weeks ago there was a post about if lefties read opposing view points. To the bolded: It sure seemed like they started to believe some of the press with Hyde's we are the 85 Bears talk. My BBFS is in full swing. The offense hasn't looked good really all year save for maybe the Giants game and the defense just got beat down on their home field. I know Allen has good 4th quarter stats but he really needs to take care of the ball. The Bills are missing a game breaker on offense. They have nobody who can take over the game and wreck an opponents game plan. At the start of the year I was of the belief that they still have one more year of building and I am circling back around to that thinking. Still waiting for that game where the offense doesn't need the defense to bail them out. Hopefully we see it this weekend! Hope I don't derail the thread because I enjoy looking at what needs to happen but for the first time in forever the Bills just need to win. There is no information about whether or not they were arrested, their real names, or any other information. Seems strange to me that there wouldn't be any of that information. Would anyone really be surprised if that information was purposely kept out so we couldn't research ourselves if they were arrested or what the fall out was? I appreciate the response. To the bolded I am just a lurker by nature. I've been on the board in general for 10+ years and have less than 5k posts. I like to read both sides of the issues and like I said I come here for the conservative view. Maybe an echo chamber is too strong but this place really isn't kind to liberal views lol. I don't mind that as I know what I will see when I come here but as I said I like to constantly challenge my beliefs.

I wasn't tagged and I believe I am considered a "drive by poster" here but in reality I lurk in all forums I participate in not just this one so this post may not mean much. I look and see (or try to) all sides of an issue. However this really isn't a great place for discussion (personal opinion). It is very very hard right wing in here. So there is not really a chance to have open and honest dialogue. Look back through the first 2 pages of responses to this question and the first page of topic listings. It is an echo chamber here so it does actually serve a purpose of challenging my (mostly) left leaning beliefs. That said anyone who uses the phrase libtard or snowflake automatically is dismissed by me. Name calling is childish and shows that they aren't actually willing to have a conversation. Reddit r/politics has the same issues on the other side. @Deranged Rhino usually tries to source his claims so I will read a lot of them even if they are dripping with right wing bias. I am okay with that as it does challenge my beliefs and shows other people's feelings and how they got there. @B-Man articles generally get skipped as they are so clearly slanted I don't really care to read them. I do that with far left articles too. I don't even browse r/politics anymore as it isn't worthwhile. After I read articles I generally will check out the source to see how credible it is. Twitter posters mostly get dismissed by me as they almost always have a clear agenda whether right or left leaning. I'm not a fan of Trump. He repeatedly violates the emoluments clause and profits from the office of president. He pulled out of the g7 at Doral (righfully) but vacations at mar a lago and recently Pence staying at his property in Ireland are poor looks at the least as they directly benefit him. His comments to 4 elected officials to go back where they came from was embarrassing to me. He isn't the devil though. I'm also not a fan of the democratic party. What they did during the last election to prop Hillary up at the expense of all other candidates (specifically Bernie) was also embarrassing. I voted 3rd party last election hoping that we could get another party on the ballot. I don't know when politics turned into sports where you can only be on one side of the aisle came from but I hate it. At the end of the day my life under a Trump presidency isn't much different than it was under Obama or Bush. I have too much in my own life to worry about to let Trump or Hillary or whoever live rent free in my head. Trump will get his 4 more years and then a dem will get 8 as has happened every cycle during my life with the exception of Bush I. I will continue to look for candidates who align with my ideas and hope they get elected. Currently Medicare for all is the topic I am most passionate about and I pay very close attention to every candidate's thoughts on it. Also not a fan of his. I like to watch QBs in college more so than any other position especially when they are touted as potential high picks. Herbert doesn't do it for me. When he is pressured he is absolutely terrible.

This is an interesting topic for me. I enjoy stats and numbers. Here are some things about this season you might not know: Josh Allen is currently 23rd in completion %. That is better than Jared Goff, Matt Stafford, Carson Wentz, Winston, Mariota, Baker Mayfield, and Cam Newton among others. Josh is 24th in TD% above Kyler Murray, Goff, Mayfield, and Newton among others Josh is 29th in int% above Winston and Mayfield among others. Josh is tied for 22nd in YPA above Wentz, Newton, and Trubisky among others (first time he has not been better than Mayfield) Josh is 30th for AY/A tied with Mayfield Josh is 23rd in YPG ahead of David Carr, Mariota, and Trubisky among others (2nd time he has not been better than Mayfield) Josh is 29th in QB Rating ahead of Newton and Mayfield among others Josh is 29th in ANY/A ahead of Mayfield and Trubisky among others So by the raw stats Josh is averaging a rank of 26.25. Having him at the bottom of QB ranks shouldn't be surprising right now. Count me in the camp that thinks a lot of these numbers will skyrocket as he has some easy defenses coming up. Having him ranked at 30th right now really isn't that far fetched even if I don't agree with it. What I can't believe is their ranking of Mayfield. He is ahead of Josh in 2 of these stats only. I could see having him in the early to mid 20s but to say he is top 15 right now is ludicrous. At the end of the day though this is all fluff. PFF grades don't matter. If the Bills win the super bowl with Josh playing the part of Brad Johnson or Trent Dilfer I won't be any less happy. I hope to see continued growth from Josh. He has improved the accuracy now his biggest issue is decision making. Tenn was a very encouraging game in that aspect however I think he over corrected a bit. They have to reign in Josh but not neuter him if that makes any sense.

So before I entertain your thread I have to point out the bolded. How high are you? The 85 Bears played in you know 85. The Steel Curtain was the Steelers and the 70s. My answer would be the defense. A defense can score points. A defense can get turnovers that create short fields leading to easy scores. Seriously the Patriots this year are playing this way. Against the Bills, The patriots got 3 points from a short field after a turnover and 7 points from their ST. That is 10 of their 16 points. Even against the Giants where they scored 35, they had a special teams td, a defensive score, and a 20 yard td drive after an int. Their offense put together 2 td drives all game against a not so vaunted defense. End result though was 35-14.

Part of the issue that I never see brought up as well... The Raiders played in LA for 12 years in the 80s and 90s. The Chargers divisional rival has a lot of fans in that town which makes it even more difficult to gain traction. I know it isn't apples to apples but if the Jets or Dolphins moved to Buffalo I would imagine they too would have a difficult time getting a fan following.

I have a slightly different take from you but also agree with your premise. I think it is because he has "gotten away" with the off balance, crazy throws so much he hasn't learned not to do them all the time. He hasn't paid the price for throwing off of his back foot like Josh did against New England. I think the defense is getting too much heat. The Colts only "hung" 19 on the Chiefs. The Mahomes led Chiefs had scored more than 25 every game he played. Defense did what it had to do to get the win. Yes they have a hard time getting off the field and yes they get gashed in the run game but a byproduct of having one side of the ball be dominant is being weaker on the other side. How many times are the Patriots terrible with ypg ranking but great with ppg rankings. The Chiefs are 19th in the league and giving up 24 ppg which is right under that magic 25 point mark the offense is expected to score. The defense isn't great but this team isn't built to win with defense. Bringing it back to the Bills, if the defense here gives up more than 17 I would imagine they would feel like that was a bad game because they are built stronger on that side of the ball. This issue isn't going to get better when Mahomes signs his monster deal and they have even less money to pay surrounding talent.

I still remember being at the bar during that Cleveland game thinking EJ might actually be the guy. Then he got hurt. He didn't get a fair shot here. I will never believe that Kyle Orton did better than EJ could have that year. Orton's infamous slide will be my counter to any argument for him. It's weird that he would leave off completion % when it would actually be in his favor Josh is at 55% and EJ at 58.4% Josh has a much better arm than EJ and much better running ability. There stats may be similar for 15 games total but when you look at their second seasons it is a different story: Josh: 225.8 ypg, 6 total tds, 6 ints, 6.9 ypa, 60.3 comp % EJ: 167.6 ypg, 6 total tds, 3 ints, 6.4 ypa, 58.0 com % Josh had an increase in ypg, ypa and comp % EJ lower ypg, same ypa, and lowe comp %

Quinnen Williams went #3 and Oliver has outplayed him 2018 Bills Rush D finished #16 giving up 114.9 ypg. 2019 Bills Rush D is #8 giving up 87.7 ypg. The only noticeable change on the dline is the addition of Oliver replacing Kyle Williams. This is a thread about him being #4 in the entire NFL at pass rush wins. What hype are you looking for him to live up to? He hasn't been getting blown up and certainly looks like he belongs in the NFL what more do you want besides the stats I put in my previous post?

Your expectation for a rookie is 8 sacks from the DT position? Last year there were 6 DTs that got to that number in the entire NFL. So you want Ed Oliver to be top 6 right out of the gate? I can see why you are disappointed lol. You want him to be unstoppable in the pass rush and this stat has him at #4 in the entire league? So you are disappointed he isn't top 3? I officiate HS sports and unfortunately there are several guys that I work with that take themselves entirely too serious. There is the letter of the rule and the spirit of the rule. Refs should enforce the spirit of the rule but too many people get off on being in a position of power. Some of you want this to be a "snowflake" issue but this guy shouldn't have been reffing in the first place. From the story: The Courier-Post reported in 2016 that a black referee accused Maloney of calling him the N-word. Maloney told the local paper at the time that he didn’t remember using the racial slur but said he believed witnesses who backed up the other ref’s story. “You know, people do make mistakes and I apologized,” Maloney told The Courier-Post at the time. “I really don’t think this should go any further than it’s gone anyhow.” He should have been banned right then and there. He went with the I don't remember but if other people say so defense then doubled down with the I apologized let it go strategy. I'm in the middle of soccer season and there is a rule where a player with jewelry is discovered during game play it is a yellow card for the coach. Most of us use common sense and send the kid to the sideline to remove it. The guys on power trips stop the game and make a production out of carding the coach.
