You do play one pretty convincingly on this forum though... I couldn't decide whether to put this here or in the Biden thread but it made me laugh: -
1 Bold Offseason Prediction
section122 replied to Kirby Jackson's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This was going to be mine. I could see them trading down so a team like Indy could come up to get their qb of the future. Something like 22 for 34 and 75. Indy would still have a 2nd rounder from the Jets (44). Bills would have 2 2nds and 2 3rds. -
I was interested so I looked it up on spotrac. He is tied for 27th highest cb contract. I expect after fa that he will be just outside top 30. For a 1 year deal I can't be too mad about this. McD likes to have a vet in every room and Norman had tremendous success with him.

Im on mobile now so my quote is a little screwed up lol. I agree with you that Trump has an energy to him and would destroy Biden in debates just like he did Hillary. They are too proper and try to debate like politicians do. Trump doesn't play by the rules they are used to and I don't think Biden is good on his feet. Bernie challenged him to a 1 hour healthcare Debate which will be very interesting to me. I'm upstate NY. I'm on an island as a Bernie supporter lol. Many dems are relieved they can vote for Biden. The Bernie supporters I do know I think would support Biden. Again though only if there isn't a screw job. If i feel there is a screw job I won't vote Biden either. The second part we just have to agree to disagree. Sure he might have upset the Clinton dynasty but by the time he was the republican candidate and eventually the winner he had full support of the repubs. A lot of rich people made a lot more money during his presidency. They weren't mad to see the dem train stopped and derailed. It just feels like you are taking standard party politics and making it a grander conspiracy with Trump as some white knight here to save us and dismantle the cabal. I just don't see that. I see the dems throwing a fit bc they thought they had 16 in the bag. They had been planning it since 08 and couldn't believe it was foiled by Trump of all people! I wouldn't vote for a ticket with michele obama. Being first lady isn't a qualifier for the vp. I would actually hate it lol.

I just don't understand how the billionaire who was born into money, rubbed elbows with the Clintons for how long, and has a global business is somehow considered an outsider to you. It just doesn't make sense that you accept him as some saving grace for the country when to me he is just more of the same. You keep claiming globalists head up this cabal but isn't Trump worldwide?

I see this is the angle people are going to take to attack Biden. Hilariously people pretend that at 77 he is just soooo much older than Trump. Trump has so many incoherent rants couldn't you say the same thing? I googled Trump Dementia and Biden Dementia. Surprise! The left wing media claims Trump has it and the right wing media says Biden has it. This is my shocked face. Should have stuck with Creepy Uncle Joe that would be much more effective. Although grab em by the p*ssy didn't really do anything to Trump so perhaps not... Sanders supporter here. Bernie Bro I guess. I'm fully expecting a Trump win this year. There will be an absolute meltdown if the Dem candidate wins on this forum. People are so absolutely sure Trump has it in the bag they mock any thought that a Dem could win. Ahh the 25th amendment. Man it is hilarious how similar both sides are. https://thehill.com/homenews/administration/458967-scaramucci-says-25th-amendment-should-be-considered-to-remove-trump https://www.huffpost.com/entry/joe-walsh-trump-25th-amendment_n_5d62990fe4b0b59d25763b59 https://www.latimes.com/opinion/story/2019-10-03/letters-to-the-editor-trump-unfit-use-25th-amendment As to the bolded the networks have made it clear they back anyone but Bernie. So yes they are saying people won't cross ideologies but they are wrong. Maybe not if Bernie wins the nomination but Bernie supporters will support Biden if the process plays out fairly. If the DNC pulls the screw job then all bets are off. For the record I don't consider Buttigieg and Klobuchar dropping out to prop up Joe as a screw job just old fashioned party politics.

Share an Unpopular Bills-Related Opinion
section122 replied to Phil The Thrill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Jordan Phillips will be greatly missed if he doesn't come back and Harrison Phillips has done absolutely nothing to show he can be an adequate replacement. The Bills need a superstar on offense before they will be serious championship contenders. Hoping for Josh to develop further and giving him a rookie wr isn't enough. They need a game breaker before they can be true SB contenders. -
Amari Cooper will be a bust on his FA deal (hot take alert!). He's already said he isn't coming to Buffalo which is a relief to me.

Cordy Glenn possibly to be released [Update: Released]
section122 replied to DJB's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm in the no camp. https://www.cincyjungle.com/2019/10/19/20921468/cordy-glenn-suspension-bengals-nfl-news The Bengals brought down a suspension after reports came in that Glenn got in a fight with a member of the coaching staff and demanded to be released. According to Jay Morrison of the Athletic, Glenn has been exhibiting behavior that could only result in discipline. According to Morrison, Glenn “did not travel to the Pittsburgh game against team wishes, missed meetings and — after Thursday — missed practices despite being fully cleared.” I seem to remember something about his rehab here as well. I may be remembering wrong but Dawkins talked about the Cordy trade and some veiled comments about guys not taking rehab seriously. Add in the fact that he is older, the team already decided to move on from him once, and he has had some continuing injury issues. -

This is what drives me crazy. The same can be said for Trump so let me turn it around. Trump is no big deal but somehow Sanders is a unique threat to America. Every argument contending Trump can't do harm can be used to say the same thing about Sanders. I think I have been pretty even keeled about Trump. The labeling of Sanders as a communist destined and determined to destroy America makes it impossible to have honest conversation. Shoutout to @rochester rob and @LSHMEAB for the back and forth that never turned nasty and involved no name calling. It was great to read 2 opinions on opposite sides of the coin that stayed civil. I won't call him an idiot. The way he speaks though is so ridiculous. "I know windmills very much, I have studied it better than anybody" really? The whole statement is embarrassing. The quickest google search. I haven't studied it better than anyone though Bird Deaths Trump referred to wind turbines as "a bird graveyard" telling the crowd that if they "go under a windmill someday, you'll see more birds than you've ever seen ever in your life." Facts First: Research suggests that while wind power does contribute to bird deaths, more birds are killed by cats or other types of power plants. According to the US Fish and Wildlife Service, collisions with turbines kills between 140,000 and 500,000 birds annually. Other energy sources, such as coal, oil and power lines, contribute to millions of bird deaths. However, cats remain the biggest threat to birds, killing an estimated 1.3 to 4 billion birds each year. Eagle-caused shut-downs Trump was adamant that several of his claims about birds and wind turbines were true, saying that "a windmill will kill many bald eagles. It's true. And you know what? After a certain number, they make you turn the windmill off. That's true, by the way." Facts First: It's misleading to claim that after a certain amount of eagles die, the government makes wind farms "turn the windmill off." However, there is a limit of incidental eagle deaths the wind farms are expected to remain within. Since 2017, wind farms have been able to apply for an up to 30-year permit that exempts them from prosecution for up to 4,200 eagles killed as a result of the wind turbines. These permits are subject to a five-year review by a third party and require wind facilities to report how many eagles they kill. However, exceeding this limit does not result in a fine or require the facility to shut down its turbines. Concurrently, the Fish and Wildlife Service does have an Eagle Conservation Plan which suggests "seasonal, daily or mid-day shut downs" as an advanced conservation practice that project developers could be asked to implement if the amount of post-construction fatalities reaches a concerning level, but this is not a requirement under existing regulations. Carbon footprint Trump claimed that wind turbines leave a large carbon footprint, specifically that the manufacturing of wind turbines results in "tremendous amount of fumes and everything." Facts First: Wind power has the smallest carbon footprint compared to other energy sources, according to the Department of Energy. A 2014 study additionally found that after operating for five to eight months, the average wind turbine will have offset the energy expended during its manufacturing. The same study noted that "wind turbines produce energy with virtually no emissions." According to the Department of Energy's National Renewable Energy Laboratory, coal-powered electricity releases about 20 times more greenhouse gas per kilowatt-hour than wind. -
LSU RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire formally meets with Bills
section122 replied to MAJBobby's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He's anywhere from end of first round to 2nd round. I expected him to be a solid first rounder specifically for a team like KC as his floor. I was surprised to see him lasting in mocks well into the 2nd round. I guess that is highly rated but he is someone I would love the Bills to grab if he were sitting there in the 2nd. -

Is that why Dobbins isn't ranked very high? Every OSU game I watched he flashed as a man among boys. -
You already shnow!!! The only issue perhaps with doing that, is it could drive his price even higher. If he steps up and becomes a top 10 LT that hits the FA market he will get paid. Look at the deal Trent Brown got or Nate Solder before him. That is funny money for 2 guys I never thought were that good. The Bills might benefit from the lack of buzz around them but some league GM will back up the truck if he improves and hits FA.

Just because I was interested about costs: Bills 1 and 2 would be enough to get to about 14. Bills 1 and 3 would be enough to get to about 18. Bills 1 and 4 would only get them up 1 spot -

Who is Pradheep J. Shanker? You have put a lot of his tweets up and so I googled him and got bupkis. Why should I care about his opinion? I'd like to think I'm none of the 3. I work hard and have since I got my first job at 14, am college educated, and dont hate Trump. The government wastes a ton of money. I'd rather see them "waste" that money on improved health care and education in place of endless war, conflict, and tax cuts for corporations/the rich in the name of bs trickle down economics. I'm going to disagree here. NYS minimum wage is indeed 11.80 however fast food minimum wage (yes that's a thing) is 13.75. Therefore many employers have been forced to offer something similar as they compete for the same workforce. Do you think someone care if McDonalds or WalMart signs their check? Of course not. The minimum wage increase has been very beneficial to low wage workers in that it has created choice for them. It has forced employers to pay more directly because of the raising of minimum wage. The added benefit is they make enough to come off public assistance programs. The raised minimum wage had zero to do with Trump though. It was workers in NYC organizing and started in 2015. -
Ah yes the green new deal. Invented and created by the famous Communist FDR. Complimenting Russia? Has Trump not complimented them as well? Honeymooned in Russia? Trump Tower Moscow?

See below... I missed the post comparing Sanders to Stalin. The us will not become east germany or russia during the cold war if Bernie gets elected. We already have many socialist programs in place that benefit a great deal of people. Pushing for expansion of or addition to doesn't make Bernie a communist. Going back to the mirroring Trump in 16. Wasn't he a racist, bigot, xenophobe, etc? Didn't people laugh then and laugh now about those claims? Why the hyperbole?

That article.is from 2016. That's where the down 30% number is. 2008 is the record and what i have seen says they expect the numbers to be close to that. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.vox.com/platform/amp/2020/2/23/21149443/nevada-caucuses-2020-turnout-record

This is exactly what so many here are doing about Bernie. I honestly can't believe the pearl clutching throughout this forum about Bernie and how he will bring death to America. People are comparing him getting elected to living is east germany during the cold war! Everyone loves to laugh at the left for how bent out of shape they got and continue to be towards Trump. Yet so many are ramping up and doing the same towards Sanders. He isn't going to bring communism to America. If you believe in America then you believe in the system of checks and balances that has worked for over 200 years. If you think a guy can come in and destroy the country in 4 years you sound like the dems in 2016. Even that would only apply if he was this evil red caricature you have all lapped up from the media. I can't keep straight if you guys think the media is a narrative spinning machine or to be trusted on all things Bernie...

Speaking to reporters in Bakersfield, California, Friday afternoon, Sanders confirmed that his campaign was briefed about the Kremlin's efforts about a month ago and condemned Russia's attempts to interfere in US elections. "It was not clear what role they're going to play. We were told that Russia, maybe other countries, are going to get involved in this campaign, and look, here's the message to Russia: stay out of American elections," Sanders said. "And what they are doing, by the way, the ugly thing that they are doing, and I've seen some of their tweets and stuff, is they try to divide us up. That's what they did in 2016 and that is the ugliest thing they are doing -- is they are trying to cause chaos, they are trying to cause hatred in America." What a terrible guy. I repeat: here's the message to Russia: stay out of American elections," Sanders said. "And what they are doing, by the way, the ugly thing that they are doing, and I've seen some of their tweets and stuff, is they try to divide us up. That's what they did in 2016 and that is the ugliest thing they are doing -- is they are trying to cause chaos, they are trying to cause hatred in America." What more can the guy say? I think delicious schadenfreude would be watching this place melt down over "Russian interference" for the next 4 years if Sanders wins. The way so many of you are scared of the "commie" reeks of TDS. I urge all of you to take just one step back and breathe. You must all be sick of Trump is the worst ever and will be the destruction of America!! yet here so many of you are ready to proclaim the same for Sanders. edit: also what's with the editorializing? I see nothing about "releasing the hounds" he lets off a sarcastic they are great friends talking about the WaPo and that is it.
