  1. You are crazy lol. The Bills don't have the money to pay Ertz 8 million per year and he isn't worth the 3rd round value this trade implies. Ertz will be traded for a 5th or later during the draft, cut the day after the draft, or on the Eagles next year. I think the Bills would love Ertz just not at his current price tag.
  2. I can. I'm still checking in regularly as I have a pick left. After @NeverOutNick makes his pick can some of you post your best available options for the Bills with name, position, and school please? @GunnerBill @Blokestradamus @MAJBobby @NewEra @glazeduck and anyone else I might have missed... I'll start it with 10 or so and narrow it down as we have leaders emerge.
  3. With the 76th pick the Baltimore Ravens select Andre Cisco, S, Syracuse. @glazeduck and the Chargers are on the clock. Although both safeties will be returning for 2021, Cisco was a possible 1st rounder before an ACL injury cut short his season. The former ACC freshmen of the year brings playmaking skills to the position. 2 needs down 1 more to go for the Ravens. Here is a writeup: https://www.baltimorebeatdown.com/2021/4/11/22377585/ravens-2021-nfl-draft-profile-fs-andre-cisco
  4. We have a trade! Giants are trading picks 11 and 76 to the Baltimore Ravens for Orlando Brown Jr, pick 27, and 58. With the 11th pick, the Bualtimore Ravens select DeVonta Smith, WR, Alabama. The Eagles @Watkins101 are on the clock WR is a huge need and although Smith is slight is stature he is huge on production. Instead of waxing poetic, I'll let the pros do it... https://nflmocks.com/2020/11/13/2021-nfl-draft-devonta-smith-perfect-fit-baltimore-ravens/ In particular, Alabama wide receiver DeVonta Smith feels like a great fit for this team. The Ravens have built their offense around their rushing attack and deep passing game. While this has led to some success, they currently lack receivers who can make an impact in the short to intermediate range. Smith can make plays as a deep receiver, but he is more of a possession receiver who is going to do most of his damage as a reliable intermediate target. Smith is a tremendous route-runner who does a fantastic job of simply finding space in the defense. He can shake man coverage with ease and always seems to sit in the soft spots of the zone. Smith is a quick and explosive runner who is also an impact player with the ball in his hands. Smith can take a short pass and take it to the house from nearly anywhere on the field. The Baltimore Ravens currently lack a guy who can find a way to get open against any coverage on a consistent basis. On key third downs, they could certainly use a guy like Smith who will simply get open and make a play for their quarterback. Thank you to everyone I bombarded with trade requests but I wanted 1 of the top 3 guys and know the Eagles will be snatching one up.
  5. @Virgil @TPS and I have made a trade. I pm'ed you for final approval.
  6. Yeah i sent an offer but i would take bills in a heart beat
  7. Want to be sure any tackle needy teams remember the ravens have orlando brown on the block.. @Virgil what are the rules for a player trade? It is very likely to happen at or before the draft. Can we just seek approval and work with you 2?
  8. Almost grabbed him for the patriots. Great pick!
  9. With the 46th pick the New England Patriots select OG Wyatt Davis. The Chargers and @TPS are on the clock. 2 time All-American and unanimous selection last year. I was really hoping for Bateman or Marshall to fall here but it was not meant to be. Davis immediately helps bolster the line. This is a BPA pick as he and Shaq Mason are both RGs but one will have to flip. Onwenu can shift out to RT and Trent Brown to LT when Isaiah Wynn inevitably gets hurt (again). I think the Pats need a WR and DB (both S and CB - and BB LOVES 2nd round DBs) more but I just don't really see the value. Davis allows some flexibility next year with both OTs being Free Agents. Onwenu can cover RT and one can be brought back for LT while the other garners a comp pick (as is tradition).
  10. As @GunnerBill stated Etienne is much more than a RB. He is more offensive weapon. Screens, dump offs, etc. I think Jones needs as many weapons as possible. They added Golladay already as a FA (another move I wasn't a huge fan of as I think he is overpaid at $18 per). Again I don't think I would have picked Etienne but I see the logic behind the decision.
  11. I can;t believe all of you forgot about this story: The Bills draft board WAS known due to an idiot employee. Including details of the trade up with Den for any of Allen, Darnold, and Mayfield. The only caveat to this is Mayfield had his visit 3 days after this so it may have played slightly with the board.
  12. Yeah when I saw the pick I envisioned the Ingram/Kamara backfield from the Saints a couple of years ago that was incredibly effective. waiting on my pick and I have settled on my guy. Which means I can probably make the pick for @Buffalo716 who is guaranteed to grab my guy lol.
  13. There are lingering issues. First he is coming back from a major injury. Secondly he is staring at a large contract that he may or may not be worth. This is another it isn't what I would do but I certainly see the logic in it. They are a thunder and lightning combo both with the ability to be the feature back if the other one needs to be spelled. With the questions remaining around Jones this is the time to see if he is your guy or they need to restart with another qb.
  14. Do you think it is worth it/possible to narrow it down now that favorites have been established?
  15. Easy pick here.... With the 15th pick the New England Patriots****** select Mac Jones, qb, alabama. NE really has a pretty strong roster outside of qb and bb's relationship with Saban will give them a ton of additional information. Jones was better than Tua and is going 10 picks later. A no brainer imo. Eagles and @Philo are on the clock.
  16. I agree with both of you. I was just opining that I can see the logic and thought process of Chase. I think either would be a good choice but lean sewell just for positional importance.
  17. They have a first round pick at lt in jonah williams and just signed riley rieff for rt. They have improved protection for Burrow and I think Chase is a logical pick that I could see happening. Reports out today are that Burrow is pushing for Chase as well. Obviously it's smoke screen season but that's a management thing not so much players.
  18. Yessir I love participating thank you for tagging me @virgil Pats, vikings, the 3rd team can be an unrequested team that you need to fill in
  19. Brady cemented himself as a large part of that success but BB going 7-9 with that team was a damn miracle. He is an excellent coach and it was on full display last year. That cupboard was bare and Brady knew it. He knew he didn't have a chance at a sb with that team as it was constructed with their cap situation to boot. Add in the opt outs and that roster with another coach was top 5 pick worthy. BB didn't have the success Brady had last year obviously, but I don't think he did anything to diminish how good everyone thinks he is either.
  20. Culture is created, cultivated, and maintained by leadership it is no secret. Poor/incompetent leaders may luck into being successful but it is generally because they hired someone who IS competent. Poor organizations have poor leadership. Yes from time to time one can get lucky but look no further than the Watson situation in Houston for poor culture directly stemming from leadership. The Ford family in Detroit, Snyder in Washington, etc. Good QBs can't hide all warts although it definitely helps. The change in Buffalo predated Allen's meteoric rise this year. You can even see it in the Bills/Sabres dynamic. The Pegulas struggled as owners, hired McBeane and that is when the ship righted. They have yet to find the right people for the Sabres which is why they continue to struggle. I think they learned a hard lesson with Rex and got lucky with McDermott (should have been hired by the Browns if their owner listened to his own people).
  21. 26 awesome minutes. He's a great interviewer and McDermott was a lot more candid than usual.
