Do you have any data to back that up or just shooting from the hip? I don't know that I agree or disagree with this assessment but I don't think paying a known commodity 3 million a year is going to be problematic regardless. The last 2 super bowl winners were a qb away. They had really good teams that needed improvement at the most important position in sports. Their situation doesn't at all mirror where the Bills are. The Chiefs with Mahomes had plenty of homegrown guys including the main 3 on offense in Mahomes, Kelce, and Hill. I also think just because it hasn't happened doesn't mean the Bills aren't trying. They were in on JJ Watt, they had reported interest in Ertz and Fournette. Currently there are rumors they want to trade for CMC. They did trade for Diggs. They have been in on big names but haven't hamstrung themselves to bring them in. That is a good thing.

They let Shaq Lawson walk because he wanted too much money. Same with Jordan Phillips. They re-signed Milano, Levi Wallace, and Taron Johnson who all played important roles on the defense (coached up). It seems like they are doing exactly what you are asking them to do. We have that mix. Diggs and Beasley were acquisitions from outside the team. Daryl Williams as well.

He only had 2 winning seasons and the team got blown out both years when they had a chance to make the playoffs. Week 16 to the titans this year and week 17 to the bills the year before. Neither game was even close.

Having a competitive team with a chance to win it all every year is the goal. The Bills have that with McD. I hate this thread. Do people really think any player on the #1 ranked defense isn't good? If he was bad then opposing teams would go at him constantly and be successful doing it. If that was the case teams would be racking up points and yards. Neither of which is happening. Edmunds is the 6th youngest player on the team! There are rookies on this team younger than him! Great job as always @Virgil here are a couple extra: Dumb point but here is as good a place as any, I feel like the Chicken Broth is not getting enough love. What an absolutely brilliant idea. As soon as it was mentioned I thought about it. Warm beverage with sodium to assist hydration, and who doesn't love chicken broth? It really spoke to me about the absolute level of preparation this team had for the night. This game was a dream come true. There wasn't even time to get nervous. After the first td drive, Hyde made one of the best int's I have ever seen (no hyperbole), the Bills marched right back down the field and made it 14-0. Then it snowballed from there. No wondering or worrying about the patriots doing patriot things. Those days are over. Josh's run on that first drive I think helped a ton. He has stated previously he likes to get hit to get in the flow of the game. With this run, he got his blood pumping, what better way to get warm than run for 25+ yards? I loved that at the end of the game all of the talk immediately became that none of it mattered anymore and it was on to next week. They are locked in. Jerry Hughes was angry still at the end of the game and in the press conference. We go play football, you talk about it was the quote I believe. They have payback to give this week and everyone is counting them out again. Time to get payback for last year's AFCCG!

A few observations: McKenzie was great to have as well as poyer two talkers and they had a lot to say! This one was a lot more raw than most. The editing person had their work cut out for them! I'm not a murphy hater but that was not exactly an exciting call for the 1st td pass by josh. Oliver was miced up too and i didn't hear a sound bite from him. I have wondered aloud about this and Beasley being divisive in the locker room. Diggs even slipped up and put something about availability accountability when Bease was on one of his tangents this past summer. I don't know if the situation op mentioned happened yesterday but rewatch the int Josh had against ATL and tell me Bease didn't quit on that route. Whether it is ability or attitude, he has clearly underperformed this year. Time for next man up.

I agree but I choose to be optimistic. The idea of finishing off the pats season and have a true changing of the guard in the division is such a sweet thing to think about. I don't play or have any affiliation to the Bills other than spending way to much money and being way too emotionally invested in them. I don't have to take it 1 game at a time lol.

As I was looking at playoff matchups, it dawned on me that the Bills can exorcise a lot of demons on their way to the super bowl this year. Round 1: Patriots and BB - 20 years of being the afterthought, so many years of domination, can be put to bed with a win against NE. Round 2: KC Chiefs - last year was the most fun I have had as a Bills fan since I was a kid. It ended being unceremoniously dumped in the AFCCG. Yeah they won early this year but that was about as useful as when the Bills would beat the team they lost to in the SB the following year. Round 3: Titans - the last 2 years the Titans have had the Bills number. They were so close earlier this year and they will have a chance to finish the job again in Nashville. Agree fully. I have SU season tickets. Admittedly I sit in the nose bleeds. Row R Center Court. My tickets are 550/season (I pay for the seat back or it would be 500). If I were to move down to row M or lower in the same exact section I would have to give a "donation" on top of the price of tickets almost doubling the total cost. Absolutely ridiculous to sit 5 rows ahead of where I do.

I'm all caught up on this thread and I have to say.... Rodgers could win it but Brady will win it. More than anything MVP is a narrative award. Don't discount how upset the media was with Rodgers skirting covid rules and being "immunized". Brady at 44 is having another all time year. At his age, I think he gets the cherry on top MVP. Brady has almost 1k more passing yards than Rodgers, is the only qb in the league averaging over 300 ypg, and has the most td throws. He has 2 5td games and another 4 4tds games. He has 3 400 yard passing games. He is going to end the year with over 5000 passing yards and 40 tds. I know nobody here wants to see it but I feel it is inevitable. Charity bet anyone?

I agree wholeheartedly with you. The best way to judge for me is how quickly would a coach get hired if he were to hit the open market. McD would get a job immediately and I think some teams would be happy to fire their coach just for a chance to hire him. Short term memory from OP but Buffalo was NFL siberia before he arrived. Chan Gailey had to become HC because nobody else would take the job at one point. The Marrone situation played out horribly followed by the Rex clown show. Pegula's got incredibly lucky hiring McD, and we as fans are lucky to have him steering the ship.
