  1. I'm conflicted bc I'm fully in the Hollister is just a guy camp but that TE depth is scary thin so I'm hopeful (and pretty sure as you state) he will be back. I'm guessing the 2 TEs is with idea Gilliam will serve as the emergency and 3rd TE. right on cue lol
  2. Yeah I edited while you were responding. I didn't see the additional TE cuts. I think this was just done to move Sweeney to IR before Hollister is re-signed.
  3. All this hand wringing about Jacob Hollister? He's an alright player but nothing earth shattering. The most catches he ever had in a game is 8. The most yards he has ever had in a game is 64. He has 6 tds in 4 years. I get the Josh connection and perhaps he does come back after some maneuvering, but this isn't a huge loss if that doesn't happen. Here is a knox/Hollister comparison Knox: 52 catches, 676 yards, 5 tds in 2 years Hollister: 74 catches, 652 yards (!), and 6 tds Hollister has played with Russ Wilson and Brady so he didn't have scrubs throwing it to him either... Edit: Seeing the current TE depth chart, I imagine Sweeney goes to IR after making the 53 and Hollister is re-signed as others have said.
  4. I think Isaiah mckenzie gets cut just to be snuck on the ir list. I think kumerow gets traded for a 5 or 6 to gb. I think breida gets cut and stashed on ps Surprise I think they keep 7 des and i don't known if it counts but taiwan jones makes it again.
  5. Brieda is my nominee for the most over rated player on the Bills right now. For some reason the board loves him and I just don't see it. I agree he fills the Yeldon role and will be cut at the end of camp before being placed on the ps. He is no threat to get poached and can be elevated if either of Moss/Motor get injured. He has 5 kr in his career all when he was a rookie. He averaged 16.6 yards per return. Only 1 return was longer than 20 yards and it went 28. It appears he can, just not great at it.
  6. For sure. I made a lot of money playing madden on ps2. Pre-internet but I had a bit of a white men can't jump "scam" running for a couple of years. Lot of beer money was made that way lol. That said it is much more enjoyable playing with a good team. Remember the days of Vick being a cheat code? It's why Lamar is a 91. I'm sure his running stats bring his overall up a ton and why I'm not upset he is ranked higher than Allen. Allen has been getting robbed on his speed and running stats though!
  7. It does mean something though as using the Bills is directly correlated in the game to how good the rankings are. This isn't a power poll or pff rankings. These ratings directly tie into your experience while using the product and the enjoyment you get out of it. It means nothing in the grand scheme of life but it does mean something when I fire up my play station and want to beat up on people online. Actually, who am I kidding, I don't have the time for madden console anymore it's madden mobile for me at this point lol.
  8. Same as the Ralph does now. Concerts, other football (ncaa for example - maybe a bowl game), outdoor hockey. Not much though so again why I could see the Pegula's wanting it publicly funded and owned. Then it doesn't matter what happens outside of the NFL product.
  9. I read that teams prefer to be tenants so they are not responsible for upkeep and depreciation. No idea if that is true but it does make some sense especially as you said it has limited use for the NFL.
  10. AT&T Stadium https://www.hksinc.com/our-news/articles/ten-years-later-att-stadium-remains-golden-gift-that-keeps-on-giving/ It is indeed rare though
  11. I know it is all negotiation but it is irritating none the less. I know they aren't moving and I do understand the business side of this. Pegula's have put a lot of money into the complex so I do feel very confident that they will remain in OP/Buffalo. I guess I'm just worn out. Toronto was held over our head for a long time. We had to hear how lucky we were to have a team, one that was poorly run and "cash to cap." We supported a less than good product for many years. Like I said in my last post, I don't know why this bothers me so much. It may be timing with Covid, or maybe just irritation of footing the bill for a billionaire, or disappointment that Pegs is using the relocation threat, or it's Monday and I'm ornery lol.
  12. Terry Pegula is worth 5.4 billion dollars. That doesn't do it justice. He is worth $5,400,000,000. I know sports teams ask for public money but for some reason this really bothers me. Fans stood by this team with games being pimped to Toronto, during a 17 year playoff drought, and finally have a competitive team. I know relocation is always the trump card but I thought with 2 teams in LA that would disappear. Austin, Texas really? Billionaires looking for hand outs. The bought the Sabres for 189 million and they are now what 12 years no playoffs?  No matter that team is now worth $385 million.  They "overpaid" for the Bills at 1.4 million.  No worries though the team is now worth 2.05 billion. Dig another well like you said.
  13. Weirdly I went to jordanpoyer.com the site he mentions at the end and it can be purchased from godaddy. Wonder what the real site is. lol
  14. In live in CNY and in my experience it is the Giants, Bills, Cowboys, Steelers. I'm not quite sure about the order but I don't think the Jets are a favorite in the area. If I had to rank I would put Giants as the clear favorite but that is fading with how bad they have been lately.
  15. Those last minute subs did not pay off. We have a very happy house right now but I still don't care for pks after both teams played their hearts out for 120 minutes.
  16. I live in a city with a bread factory and it smells amazing. I've always wondered... Are you hungry the entire shift? Do you hate bread now? Does it still smell as good to you? Help a brother out so I can stop thinking these thoughts every time I drive by lol.
  17. I had a thought today.... I wonder if all of these ertz rumors are just a way to flush out the front office people with loose lips. There were a ton of really negative stories last year from inside the eagles building. I'm sure Pederson contributed his fair share but certainly was not alone. Probably not but just something I came up with trying to figure out why this keeps popping up randomly.
  18. A day later and I just can't get over how well put this post is. Seriously this is the best answer to the who cares posts I have seen. I was going to add to it but I'm just going to say thank you.
  19. Social media allows you to see what they want you to see, in the way they are offering it up. Their perfect cookie cutter version of it. When you go home, do you make it a point to see everyone that you want to keep up with on social media? At one point I had over 800 "friends" many of them I had met once or twice. Those aren't friends, they are acquaintances lol. I will fully admit though that what you bolded was missing a very important word. It should have said generally there is a reason we don't keep in touch. It doesn't have to have negative connotations attached to it though. As you said it is mostly time. Social media is a time suck. I won't single you out as I have no idea what your habits are but many people spend hours a week if not a day on social media. That is plenty of time to pick up the phone and call or text those that you truly care about keeping up with imo. Lastly, I strongly dislike social media but people use it and that is fine. I just offered up my personal anecdotes of why I don't like it or use it. I'm not better than people that use it, I just don't.
  20. I'll answer this. Social media is terrible all the way around imo. It has ruined journalism. It is now about being first not about being accurate. People use it to spread disinformation. It causes mental health issues. People overshare. Vaguebooking. It has created "influencers" as a job title. I used it for a bit and it made me dislike a lot of people. Whether they showed their ignorance, straight up lied about who they are/how things are going, or beg for attention, it made me think poorer of people I otherwise liked and respected. I told my wife I ran into a friend of ours and she asked if he was going to DC for the insurrection bc that is all he posts on fb about. I dipped during the 2016 election as people on both sides showed just how ignorant they were or could be. It didn't get better this election as I had some work related reasons for being on. People claim it is a tool to keep in touch with people that you normally don't. For that I have 2 points, first there is a reason we don't normally keep in touch with them. Secondly people have started to use it to communicate with people they normally would in a much more direct capacity. My wife's mother wished her a happy bday on fb. No call, no text, just a fb post. My friend asked me why I missed a party recently that I had no idea about. He stated that his wife sent me a fb invite. I talk to this guy 4 or 5 times a week. Gladly he knew I wasn't active on social media and didn't get mad (actually apologized). It is nice that is has a direct line to athletes but they are treated absolutely abhorrently. The way people treat other human beings over a game or their fantasy football game is disgusting. These are just some of my feelings. From a not quite yet 40 year old guy who had myspace and fb but never twitter, snapchat, vine, tik tok, or any of the others.
  21. To save other people I went through the twitter replies... apparently this is a polaris slingshot. Likely a very special edition but the r line which is the top of the line starts at 31k. I was surprised to see it was that cheap as that is really nice looking imo.
  22. Thanks for sharing. It was impossible to watch Josh's Wyoming highlights and miss Gentry. I agree with your later post that he likely makes his living on the PS. He spent a lot of time on the Bears PS and didn't get poached, I think he would be safe there. I have wanted Gentry here for a long time, funny when they finally get him, I don't know if he has a spot. WR went from the dregs to a fantastic and deep positional group!
  23. Legacy fans are people that are fans because their mom or dad or some other significant person is a fan. I am a legacy Bills fan. My Mom's side of the family is Bills fans, my Dad's is Giants. My Mom loves sports my Dad couldn't care less. I chose the Bills specifically because of the familial affiliation. On a side note I had no idea the Cowboys were created in 1960 until you said you were older than the team. I always assumed they were part of the original NFL. Thanks for that piece of knowledge! No argument here lol
  24. There were no players drafted this year that were alive the last time the Cowboys won the Super bowl. Jerry is a marketing genius to have them still talked about as "America's Team". They are the 5th largest market but with 2 teams in NY and LA they are the 7th largest NFL market. Personal Anecdote but I don't know too many young people who are Cowboys fans and none that aren't "legacy" fans.
  25. Just for more piling on... How about these stats: 3 playoff wins since 1997 It has been 25 years since they were in the NFC Championship game Only the Bengals, WFT, Lions, Browns, and Dolphins have gone that long without being in their conference championship.
