  1. It really is... between you and I we named a ton of receivers but he is def our best and definitely in the conversation once you get past those top few guys. Please re-sign this guy!
  2. I think Jackson cost himself a ton of money this year. He is approaching to status as far as being poison and has a serious concussion history. It will be very interesting to see who pays him and how much bc when on he is definitely an elite talent.
  3. Its very reasonable. I'm having a hard time coming up with 15 better wrs. In no particular order i've come up with 1 Megatron 2 Larry Fitz 3 Andre Johnson 4 Greg Jennings 5 Welker 6 Brandon Marshall 7 Roddy White 8 I think there is a bunch of players in this range that could be argued depending on health, qb ability, or other factors. They include santonio holmes, miles austin, stevie, hakeem nicks, victor cruz, v. jax, maclin, harvin, mike wallace, etc... point being 15th highest for a receiver who is going to be the first in team history to post back to back 1000 yard seasons and is reasonably in the top 15 talent wise is a steal for this team... Plus I got his jersey at the beginning of the year lol
  4. For a wr? Do you think this is a good idea or just what you think it would take? Too much for a wr imo
  5. The kid from washington did look amazing last night. What a crazy game with the way Baylor was running the ball and the way Washington was passing the ball. I believe I saw a stat that said there were 5 50 yard+ plays last night. With our offense though he wouldn't be asked to go under center to much anyway. About Vicks arm strength i think that is one thing that has always held him back. It is so easy for him to throw those darts that he doesn't seem to have that soft ball on short passes.
  6. If anyone saw the game last night their vote should be RG3. His td run in the first half was nothing short of amazing. Blackmon is a talent but I think far more wr have success from the later rounds than qbs... I know cue the Tom Brady (6th) Joe Montana (3rd) and Drew Brees (2nd) talk but how about this list - Steve Largent (4th) Chris Carter (3rd) Andre Reed (4th) Brandon Marshall (4th) Wes Welker (undrafted). Point being RG3 I think is a franchise changer and Blackmon will be great but a wr does not do that for you.
  7. Actually I would love to see both upshaw and hightower be our first and second round picks. The familiarity of Dareus, upshaw, and hightower would be beneficial. As well as the fact that they come from a great program, system (already 3-4 trained), and coach (say what you will about Saban but he is a good coach).
  8. very rarely do I actually lol but that one did it. Between georgeedwardsteeth and Toshiero trolling is in full force on tbd.
  9. I hear you. I think it has to do with a lack of success for the Bills and success for him. It is like breaking up with a girl and finding out she moved on to date a better looking guy who makes more money than you while you start dating your right hand.
  10. wow Rob Johnson was more of a statue than Bledsoe!!! I guess he was a record breaking qb after all! Peters has imo always been an excellent run blocker. The stats though are skewed by Vick as he breaks containment and bust long runs (6.8 ypc in 2010 and 7.8 this year) and McNabb in Peter's first year was not a scrambler. Also I don't know if anyone gets credit for the sacks he takes when he is dancing around in the backfield so I don't think it skews the numbers to significantly. Either way Peters would not be playing that way here and admitted to dogging it after he left. So although he is def a good player he would not be that same player in a Bill's uni. Let alone the fact that he is basically playing the rt position for them and not the ultra valuable lt blind side protector.
  11. If both teams win SF will be the number 2 seed. However both teams play at 1 so the outcome will be an unknown for both teams. Payton (saints HC is mum on the subject). He is already up 190 so it would be suprising if Brady caught him but not impossible. http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news;_ylt=AnSeSUFSoY.rxjYm9hCNHUtzTrt_?slug=ap-saints-breesfinish
  12. I wonder how much this has to do with the fact that he no longer protects the QBs blind side. His last year with the Bills he was credited with allowing 11.5 sacks. His first year in Philly (with McNabb as QB) he was credited with 6 sacks. His last 2 years (Vick as QB) he has given up 2.5 and 2 a year. So I see a couple of things, 1 is a guy who dogged it and was not effective while here, 2 a guy who is getting paid a boatload of money to be essentially a rt (does not protect the blindside), and 3 a guy who is protecting the MOST mobile QB in probably NFL history. Peters would not be elite if he were here because he didn't care to unless they showed him the money. The same can be said for McGahee except he was a goner no matter what the Bills wanted. Link for stats: http://hosted.stats.com/fb/playerstats.asp?id=7122&team=21 Isn't Dickie J their D-Coordinator?!?!?! Part of the reason those rankings are so high may be because their rush defense is ranked #30. Kind of like when he was here and we had the 3rd ranked pass D because no one had to pass on us. Joe Haden is an excellent cb Sheldon Brown is decent but who else do they have? The 2 headed monster safety combo of Usama Young and Mike Adams! (yes I did have to look those names up lol) I'm not attacking you but lets not talk to highly of this D. Middle of the pack sure but steel curtain they are not.
  13. Players don't need to be involved and all refs don't need to be involved. A few refs doing the right games could easily do this. It doesn't need to be a huge thing just a couple people could pull it off. Depending on where they are on the field a ref could call pi or not, call holding or not, or make strange calls on reviews. The less people involved the less mouths available to talk about it. Again I have no idea who would pull strings but in a billion dollar industry it would be extremely naive to not think there is some corruption. Whether that involves fixing games is a tough question to answer. Unfortunately I don't think it would surprise many people If it were true... Or else this thread would not still be alive
  14. I would def enjoy that as I stated earlier I feel the jets are our biggest rivals as of now. Guess i want my cake and to eat it too!
  15. ummm not sure where I said to root against the Bills anywhere in my post. I simply put up scenarios affecting our draft position. I will be rooting for a Bills win on sunday just as I do every week. I will however take exception to one of your points. I don't think we have much of a rivalry with the Pats we would have to win some for that to be the case, I think the Jets have been much more of our rival as of late. In talking with Pats* fans they don't hate the Bills. Their rivals are the Dolphins and Jets.
  16. Posted this elsewhere but thought it would be better if in its own topic... The few sites I have been on have the Bills slotted in for the 11th pick. Buffalo can pick anywhere from 9-13 depending on various outcomes. The games that affect slotting are as follows. # in front of team is their current pick 9. Carolina @ N.O. - N.O. is still playing for a bye so they will prob try to win this game 10. KC @ Den - Tebow vs. Orton no way the league lets Tebow lose this game and not make the playoffs (yup I said it) 11. Buf @ N.E. - Pats* still playing for something here 12. Ari vs. Sea - 2 7-8 teams and one will have to win I think Sea will 13. Phi vs. Wash - I think Phi wins this game big 14. Sea @ Ari - see above 15. SD @ Oak - SD has a harder strength of schedule so this game doesn't matter as even with a Buffalo win SD would still be behind the Bills 16. Chi @ Min - see above and Chi will prob win this game anyway Picks 12-16 are held by teams that are 7-8. SD and Chi both have harder S.O.S. so it doesnt really matter what they do. Ari and Sea play each other so one of them has to win. If the Bills lose with a KC and Car win (both highly unlikely) they would move back to the 9th pick and the win against the Broncos wouldn't have cost them anything (in regards to a draft pick). The bills can move ahead of KC even if they both lose due to the closeness of the strength of schedule. uncommon opponents KC - Det, Min, Ind, Pit, Chi, GB Buff - Cin, Phi, NYG, Wash, Dal, Ten when looking at the schedule for KC's teams Det and GB play each other so that game is a wash as well as Chi and Min. that leaves Ind @ Jax and Pit @ Cle - I have a feeling that will be a split leaving there uncommon opponents at 3-3 for the week. To get ahead of them we need to do better than that. Buff has 2 games that are a wash as well in Phi vs. Wash and NYG @ Dal. That leaves Cin vs Balt and Ten @ Houst. If cincy and Ten both lose (very possible) our strength of schedule will become worse than KC and move us ahead of them in the draft order (assuming we either both win or both lose this weekend. So in summary root for Ind, Pitt, Balt, and Houston to improve our draft spot ahead of KC. Hope this helps and wasn't to confusing.
  17. I hope so. I too was thinking of getting a Byrd jersey and think he is a true player. Two things he has working for him IMO are Buddy stating they will look to resign their own (and safety is not an expensive position) as well as his father's past with the team (may not be important but could help with him not looking for big city/bright light). These 2 things may not matter much but I hope they do, after a sophmore slump (albeit injury riddled) I think he has played well this year next to Wilson.
  18. to take my previous post one step further... 19. First off I think the OP is incorrect the few sites I have been on have the Bills slotted in for the 11th pick. Buffalo can pick anywhere from 9-13 depending on various outcomes. The games that affect slotting are as follows. # in front of team is their current pick 9. Carolins @ N.O. - N.O. is still playing for a bye so they will prob try to win this game 10. 20. to be honest the story is what gets created IMO. Look at what was lined up this week, broncos losing makes Orton vs tebow a marquee game instead of broncos clinching and it meaning nothing. Colts winning now puts the luck sweepstakes in jeopardy again. Jets losing doesn't knock them out and leaves a bunch of teams chasing the wildcards in the afc as well as setting up a huge giants cowboys game. I don't know where I fall on the nfl being fixed to be honest. That in itself is enough to wonder though as I should be able to easily dismiss such a thought. Things happen very conveniently a lot in the nfl may be coincidence may not be. It may however fall to simple bias tho. The black guy that is a head ref seems to always screw the bills (can't think of his name not trying to be racist), and how many controversial games has steretore(sp?) been a part of in the last 2 years alone? Pass interference calls and no calls and holdin penalties are a very easy way to sway the outcome of a game. As for who is pulling the strings god only knows. Media, the nfl, and bookies/casinos are just the short list of who benefit from the proper outcomes of games. Again I'm not sure where I fall but I do wonder many times and not just with bills games whether or not "the fix is in"
  21. Lol they are on their 3rd string qb we are still using our "starter" c'mon man! Edit rookie 3rd stringer!
  22. Get choice out of here! I understand he was good in college for Cham but come on this is loyalty to a fault!
  23. Yeah look at what happened with Matt schaub when Andre Johnson got hurt... Oh wait they still excelled before schaub got hurt... Oh wait they still won the division losing Mario Williams as well as these two! Fitz is less than average to say the least with his weapons or without.
  24. Can i change mine to the bills after Ralph's patience speech? Wow I've had girlfriends that didn't rival my love hate relationship with this team!
