  1. Fitz says "we're hoping that that stability really helps us" = Please don't cut me Is stability on a team not ready to handle success a good thing? Mentality in sports is very difficult to change. On that note how is a professional athlete not ready to handle success? What are they working for? Imo you practice and train your butt off to be successful, and when that happens they don't know how to handle it? That is a very scary indictment of the team and the team leaders. On an aside did anyone see the comment below the article from a niners fan "what's up with stevie johnson? any word.. us niners will take him if you bills can't handle a young star!" talk to your friends who aren't Bills fans and this is a pretty common sentiment among NFL fans. He is going to be a commodity on the fa market - hope the Bills sign him! (Then I wont have to buy ANOTHER jersey lol)
  2. McShay has Upshaw rated as the best pass rusher at the Senior Bowl for all those that say he can't rush the passer. He did gush a bit about Ingram as well
  3. I was starting to get worried That said Tannehill could very easily go top 10. After the Colts take Luck the Browns, Redskins, Dolphins, and possibly the Bucs and Jags may look qb. With only Griffin up there you could easily see a reach. Locker going 8 and Ponder (I believe) 12 was way ahead of where most projections had them. It appears Tannehill is the clear cut 3rd rated qb (Mayock, Brandt, and mcshay) so hopefully a team reaches on him and you are wrong about him barbarian Will I be mad if the Bills take him? Depends on who is on the board when the Bills are on the clock but more than likely yes. Only Luck and rg3 @ QB to me are worthy of the Bills selection (and both will be long gone before it)
  4. Paging Buffalo Barbarian...........
  5. yes and are dreaming of a line that feature Dareus, Soliai, and Williams. That would help our run d and pass rush as Dareus and Williams are both penetrators. I think it would help tremendously. Nickel could even be a 3-3-5 look to utilize them on all 3 downs.
  6. If and I mean big IF we go for a smallish receiver I would much prefer Ryan Broyles. He's projected as a mid round pick and was extremely productive for Oklahoma. That said Buddy has a history of drafting big receivers. Look at SD's wr draft picks and you will see they are mostly mid rounders with height.
  7. not for nothing but Bob Kraft was supposedly instrumental in getting the lockout ended (as per Jeff Saturday). With his wife passing away there is a lot to lead you to the perfect story for the Pats. Owner works out labor deal, loses wife, wins championship avenging loss of undefeated season. Seems like a very compelling storyline esp when you consider the media empire that is ESPN and its close proximity/ball licking towards everything Boston. If Steratore is reffing in the Super Bowl you won't be able to convince me it's not fixed as he seems to be in the middle of many many questionable calls that have affected outcomes in games including but not limited too; the just give it to them game, the calvin johnson non catch, the stevie non catch against the Bengals, and the pitt-mia game when Rothlisburger fumbled and the steelers were given the ball anyway. How is this guy still in the league?
  8. My friends and I were talking about these drugs during the games yesterday. Gronk took a nasty hit/tackle and was obviously gimpy, however, we all new he would go back get shot up and be back out on the field. It got me to thinking how much of the early deaths and birth defects in their children we see with football players are contributed to this. Dangerous game they play not only short term but long term with these side effects. Concussions rightfully so are at the forefront of the nfl's concern, but the punishment (and treatment) these players put their bodies through should be as well.
  9. I gotta say this is the best answer I've seen. Makes a whole lot of sense. Part of me still feels bad for the new guys that get sucked into it though haha. And annoyed with the mods that let it go on ahem*beerball*ahem or worse contribute to it.
  10. Sorry cant stand it... I have yet to figure out why trolling by crayonz is acceptable but others (rightfully) get run off the forum for it.
  11. Luckily the guy wouldn't let me moneyline my if/come so I got the points and won my bet! I know its early but I'm looking at Giants and the under for the sb
  12. I just figured out Crayonz is Jimmy Spags! Please people how many times can you get roped by this? I'll try to help.... CRAYONZ IS A TROLL!!!!!!!
  13. Wow! I won't call you any names bc I knows it's frowned on but your bus isn't very long is it? I will thank you for making my job easier and underlining the most ridiculous part... It's kind of a pain from my phone. If Stevie put up his numbers on any other team you'd be hoping for the bills to sign him... But since he already plays for the bills he sucks I guess
  14. Even though I disagree with your post in almost its entirety I will only point out the flaws in the bolded sections... First you have limited viewing but already know he has a low ceiling? How are you making an assesment without knowledge? Second you name 2 other player who would be better than him if... doesn't that make them not as good as him? Lastly, I know they are only mocks but the latest I have seen him go in any mock is 17. So middle to top of the round looks like the floor of where he will be picked.
  15. NE is supposedly a base 3-4 team and ran a ton of 4-3 this year. Its the way the league is moving. Why would you not want versatility in your scheme? People need to move past what the base is and realize many teams spend more time in the nickel than anything else due to the volume of passing in this league.
  16. The bigger news in this story to me is how far Vince Young's star has fallen. He went from being a hot commodity to being moved on from for Trent?! He must be dumber than we thought! Or maybe its the whole dream team thing that falls on his shoulders. Either way I'm shocked! btw Trent was HORRIBLE in Jax how does even get this shot? Is it still because Bill Walsh thought he was good? I'm thoroughly confused by this.
  17. Exactly my fiancee doesn't mind wearing one... and that's why I'm marrying her!
  18. I'm betting the ravens and giants... On the money line!
  19. I can't be the only person that thinks the sexiest thing in the world is a girl in a Bills jersey!
  20. This. I think its the jilted ex-bf syndrome. I posted in the Peters thread (one of the many I know) that it seems like some people are acting like these players are their ex-girlfriends who have moved on to date a smarter, better looking, more money making guy while they are left with their right hand (left if you swing that way ). Not every player that leaves turns into a star (Ko Simpson - wonder what he's worth these days) and some do (Peters). What I want to know is where is the Wang hate? He ruined a good thing with all the d*ck jokes we had going. What a bum that guy is!
  21. Cheatriots, Pats*, Belicheat, Crybrady, etc... I effing hate the bums!
  22. On top of the tax money generated by having these multi million dollar earners based in NY state. There are numerous economic benefits to the region having a team located in WNY. From toll booth traffic, hotel bookings, tax on merchandise, and many many other things that bring in a revenue stream. It is not like the Bills will be given 84 million dollars without any coming back in to the state coffers.
  23. was just on espn.com and they have the same poll and some interesting results. NYG v Balt 9% NYG v NE 32% SF v Balt 32% SF v NE 27%
  24. After last weeks poll surprisingly had people rooting for Tom Crybrady I wanted to see if anyone is actually pulling for them to go to the super bowl. Myself? I'm pulling for NYG vs. Bal. I've adopted the giants as my team ever since the Bills were knocked out of playoff contention and wouldn't be able to stand the hype of either a Giants Pats rematch or a Harbaugh Bowl. *Conspiracy theorist in me says it will be Giants Pats with the Pats getting revenge but I will hope against hope the Pats don't even get the chance
  25. 21 games over .500 in 17 years? McNair was an elite qb in his prime as well as haynesworth being a beast while e was there. I think he routinely underachieved and is only thought of highly due to his longevity. I wouldn't have been upset if he was hired by the phins. That said I think he made the right choice - already has a (possible) franchise qb, #2 pick in the draft, and an easier decision.
