  1. If they were looking for starters in the 5th that would say a lot of bad things about the team. Every pick from here on out will be bpa and hope to find a gem. This was a kid projected to go as high as the 3rd! Enjoy what the team is doing bc it's been very impressive so far.
  2. Continuing to get amazing value. Many on here wanted him in the 3rd and they get him with their second 5th!

  4. I have to revisit this after the first round we just saw. I worked out all of the point values of the trades and came up with some interesting numbers (to support my argument of course ) Cleveland Browns: Acquire pick No. 3 in 2012 Minnesota Vikings: Acquire picks No. 4, No. 118, No. 139 and No. 211 in 2012 Cleveland gave up 1901.5 points and received 2200 points which is a point difference equal to the #60 overall pick. So this trade didn't follow the chart Jacksonville Jaguars: Acquire pick No. 5 in 2012 Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Acquire picks No. 7 and No. 101 in 2012 Jags gave up 1596 points and received 1700 points. To make this trade far the Jags should have had to add the equivalent of the #99 overall pick so this didn't follow the chart. Dallas Cowboys: Acquire pick No. 6 in 2012 St. Louis Rams: Acquire picks No. 14 and No. 45 in 2012 Cowboys gave up 1600 points and received 1550 the difference of #122 overall. Didn't follow chart Philadelphia Eagles: Acquire pick No. 12 in 2012 Seattle Seahawks: Acquire picks No. 15, No. 114 and No. 172 in 2012 Eagles give up 1138.6 and received 1200 difference of the #116 pick. Didn't follow chart. New England Patriots: Acquire pick No. 21 in 2012 Cincinnati Bengals: Acquire picks No. 27 and No. 93 in 2012 New England gave up 808 and received 800. Followed trade chart. New England Patriots: Acquire pick No. 25 in 2012 Denver Broncos: Acquire picks No. 31 and No. 126 in 2012 Pats give up 646 and get 720 difference of #110. Didn't follow chart. Minnesota Vikings: Acquire pick No. 29 in 2012 Baltimore Ravens: Acquire picks No. 35 and No. 98 in 2012 Vikes give up 658 get 640 call it fair though it is the difference of #183. We'll give it to you. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Acquire picks No. 31 and No. 126 in 2012 Denver Broncos: Acquire picks No. 36 and No. 101 in 2012 Bucs give up 636 and get 646 we'll call it even. Followed the chart. This doesn't include the Redskins trade that you thought was so ridiculous. So out of 9 trades in the first round 2 came within range of following the chart with another borderline. Even if I give that one to you it is 33% of the trades that followed the old chart. I rest my case!
  5. In looking at the Pats* trades they only have 2 second rounders left... in the entire draft! They traded away their 3rd and 4th to move up in each trade and now are left with only 2 picks so it will be interesting to see where they go from here.
  6. Yep that's 2 solid picks by the cheatriots. Dammit!
  7. Schefter just announced the pats* pick as chandler jones and it is before the titans pick has been announced lol On a side note didn't want chandler to go to the pats*. He's from Rochester, played at Su, and is bones jones brother. Wanted to root for him and now I can't lol
  8. New England traded up they have the pick after the titans!
  9. Pumped! When they announced that selection I cheered just as loud as when the bills picked. Tannehill and coples for our divisions so far has me very happy.
  10. I hope the jets don't take mercilus here... I really don't want to have to root against him! I think he's gonna be great an hope it's not in the afc
  11. Stop wasting our time and announce the pick already!
  12. Yes! I won't do a premature I told you so but goes that 20 year old draft chart working out for him I wonder!
  13. I know they like Barron but how can it not be Claiborne here
  14. It's killing me how ESPN is stretching this put. The pick keeps being in and they aren't letting goodwill announce it forever. Get to the bills pick already!
  15. except for 2009 where the Titans were the #1 seed and Minny won their division and 2010 when Minny was bountygate away from the superbowl. Your argument has a few holes in it. RB is a part of a team not the whole team, just bc there has been some lack of team success doesn't make it a bad pick. The question is are those teams better with or without those players on their team? The answer is of course better. edit: aww man i was hoping to avoid OCincin.. i mean crayonz post too dammit
  16. His seven steps to finding a qb: part 1 - see if randall cunningham will come out of retirement part 2 - buy all of the predraft magazines you can get you hands on part 3 - pick out the names you like the sound of the best part 4 - make sure his name isn't Kyle Boller part 5 - watch youtube highlights of your favorite prospects part 6 - rank them by best background music part 7 - make your selection!
  17. That WR?!?!?!?! Why would they do that? Marcus Easley is a beast and much better than this guy. Were they not watching him tear it up last preseason? WTF were they thinking?!?!?
  18. They can/should still name pro bowlers but just not have the game. This would be a good idea from the owners standpoint: Many players that got in as alternates now have it on their resume for contract negotiations, which makes them more expensive to sign. If they remove the game and it is an end of the season award it may actually mean something when someone lists a pro bowl on their resume.
  19. I thought clevelands draft was exceptional. Getting Weeden in the 3rd is a steal while they also got blackmon so they can try to do in the pros what they got done in college. Adding Gillmore that late was great value and now their secondary with Haden would be amazing. They had a need at rb and Martin was a solid pick. All in all I think cleveland fans would be pumped if this happened. I'll pat myself on the back too as I thought I did well with the Cheatriots. 2 pass rushing linebackers (Branch and McClellan), a ss(Harrison Smith), and a dt/de (Devon Still) through the first 2 rounds and all of them carry a first round projection/grade somewhere. Then I was able to add a scat back rb that I think fits well with what they do on offense. A couple of players were taken right before me when I had them ear marked most notably LaMichael James and it would have been nice to find a cb somewhere but the draft value didn't really allow it.
  20. Can we start a thread based on what we would all do if this was true? I would imagine we could get some interesting answers.
  21. dang lamichael james almost made it to my pick. was all over him if he did. All in all though I would hate New England's draft as a Bills fan. I was able to get great value and plug a lot of holes. my bad I didnt see that I'll take Isaiah Pead RB Cincy
