  1. Yep and my radio apps won't get the feed!
  2. Maybe if Revis didn't demand so much $ they could have signed some playmakers.
  3. I agree with almost everything you posted except I don't think the AFC West will be that weak this year. I think the Chiefs are going to be a surprise team this year. The Chargers and Broncos will be decent and the Raiders are a wild card but tough none the less.
  4. This has been refuted time and again but here is the link anyway. Gronk had the documented back problem in college not Troup. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Torell_Troup#College_career
  5. Hey they're at the olive bar in wegmans so it works for me. They are my favorite thing at the olive bar "pepper shooters" is the name for them. It's criminal that they cost 7.99 a pound though. Wait can we be the drive home show on wgr now?
  6. Go back under your bridge please. Green olives are better in general but black olives are better on a pizza. That said bacon and banana pepper is about the most gut wrenching and simultaneously best pizza ever. Pineapple is terrible on a pizza but great when fresh cut or in those little fruit cups. Joe W should have a bunch of warning points by now. Schopp and the Bulldog are annoying but its the middle of August which has to be the worst time to be involved in sports journalism (especially when there isn't Brett Favre to jam down our throats). John Wawrow thanks for doing what you do. Don't get chased away like so many others who's opines/facts/news/ posts I enjoy and respect. Lastly (and again), Joe W go back under your bridge please. JW explained the scheduling conflict and why it went down the way it did - sorry it doesn't fit your conspiracy theory but let it go man. For all the good the internet has brought to the world trolling/internet tough guys almost make it not worth it. Damn you Al Gore!
  7. I disagree with this. I think the term franchise quarteback really means a qb you can build your team around which is why it is thrown around so loosely. I think many people confuse it with being an elite qb (analysts specifically). I also think a sb win is not a necessity to be considered either elite or a franchise qb. Winning a sb takes a lot more than a qb (however having an elite one certainly does help.
  8. The car was soon fully submerged, Dernbach said. Another man just off the ferry jumped in the water, smashed open a window with a hammer or some other tool and helped the driver out. Two dogs escaped as well, she said. Some top notch reporting there lol Read more here: http://www.adn.com/2012/08/23/2597925/man-guided-by-gps-drives-off-ferry.html#storylink=cpy
  9. Yep I was going to say Montana too. The west coast offense revolutionized the game. That was the major shift imo from running to passing as Walsh used the short passes as his running game.
  10. maybe they feel like they are struggling because they finally are facing a real d-line in practice?
  11. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mx5veEyHPr0 This is a short interview that is a pretty interesting take on your point. While playing Alzado thought they were a good idea, however when he got older he realized the error of his way. I'd lean no to legalizing steroids. Cheaters can continue to get caught and suspended.
  12. http://news.yahoo.com/breivik-report-forces-norway-police-chief-quit-204149117.html Basically an independent report came out saying the police could have done more to prevent this attack so the chief resigned. I don't mind the independent reports happening but feel the findings should be kept private. This was one man's fault and one man only. The report should be a teaching tool of what to do if this happens again not a declaration of police incompetence.
  13. fwiw I have been impressed with Heard. Thought he played very well last year and would like to see him get a shot. Unfortunately I think that means carrington (whom I also like) is gone. Moore at this point seems to be a lock and I would be shocked if Johnson or Edwards were cut.
  14. Different technique. Golf is a good analogy here. Think about the guys who can drive the ball extremely far they generally have poor accuracy on shorter shots and the guys who are accurate at short distances don't necessarily boom the ball. It takes a special player (like a Janikowski) to do both.
  15. I would... and apparently I'd have to bring 3 of my friends along too
  16. So let me get this straight: If TJ becomes a good player and then they are able to draft a qb who has differentiated himself from the pack - that is a bad thing? Every year has kirk cousins, nick foles, and russell wilson's and next year is no different. The Bills are giving Fitz a chance here (whether you agree or not) and have vy in the wings if fitz falters/gets hurt. Why would it be a bad thing to use a first or second on a qb this year? I have felt since the end of the draft this year that will happen. The lines are solid and the depth has been added next year the qb of the future will be added.
  17. I do hold Packer's fans in high regard without numbers. I think the way that team is run with the shares and the sense of community are something all sports teams should follow. They don't strike me as a sports is a business sports is about winning organization and I love that. As for the Steeler's they have had a long long stretch of competitiveness/superiority that other teams (yes us) could only dream of. I'm a Lakers fan in basketball and believe me it's very easy to be passionate/supportive of them, the Bills? It takes much more
  18. One of my favorites is Wiltson as in Ralph Wiltson. I have no idea why a t gets put in there but it annoys me (more than it should)
  19. in addition to. 53 plus I believe 8 practice squad players
  20. I must be extra agreeable today because I agree with everything your saying. However I wonder how much the extended success has to do with their passion. If these same fans were treated with a 12 year drought would they react the same? I don't think the Bills have the best fans in the NFL but I think they do have great fans. I heard an interesting bit on the Colin Cowherd show where he blasted fans of poor teams for continuing to be fans. His stance was that by leaving/not attending fans would force their teams into being more competitive. It was interesting to me because of the hostage situation Bills fans find themselves in. The regionalization and selling of games/no promise of future location forces Bills fans to accept whatever is put out on the field - and we do. The fans here have followed through a ton of poor seasons, personnel decisions, heartbreak, and a general laughingstock connotation of their favorite team. I know you are on of these people and I applaud you for it but there are so many more that also are excellent fans. I also though, don't blame fans that are wary or apprehensive about the Bills and the moves they make - it doesn't make them less of a fan (just a more annoying one) after all this has been the longest suffering any fan of any team in the NFL is enduring (including the Browns, Lions, and Bengals). To wrap it all up I'll bring it back to where I started. Would Steelers and Packers fans be as loyal and driven as they are now facing the situation Bills fans are in? I also would like to see the early 90's example of attendance not be used an example anymore for two reasons 1. The NFL was not anywhere near the cultural phenomenon then that is now. Popularity for this league is at an all time high and 2. That was 20 years ago! Your point of the games being the cheapest and forced on the other fans stands as 100% correct. The only thing I can say is this was a promised reprieve that was yanked from the fans. It was almost a nice little tradeoff of hey I know we stole a game that counts but to help you out we are going to take one that doesn't count too. It was a carrot that was dangled and then yanked with the reasoning being a lie (scheduling conflict). I know you can understand how that would be upsetting.
  21. In danger of joining this obvious trolling session from Joe W.... I don't think it was that hard of a sell for rogers to get Brandon to take the game back. Think about it, the Bills were definitely paid in full (the 78 mill) and on top of it they get a game back. The Bills make all of the money from ticket sales/season tickets, concessions, and parking. So as beerme stated it is a dick move and I have to agree with Joe W that is a screw job but I also think it was a great business move which means I also agree with you ptr. Not sure how I agreed with people that are arguing different things but I think I just did As an aside I think it is unfair to call steelers fans real fans bc they want to go to a preseason game. There are so many threads dedicated to how the Bills don't treat them as anything more than a practice. I can see it being upsetting to people that pay full price for these tickets. I hated having to pay for preseason, and the lie that was put out (a scheduling conflict) I can see upsetting people. That said I respect Brandon's game as CEO he has done a tremendous job (for ralph - but hey that's who signs the checks )
