  1. Holy cow. I honestly don't know how any fan would root against 9-7. Especially in a year where there is no luck or rg3. This should have been a public poll so we can see who said what.
  2. I agree with a lot of what you say and even agree about Clay Matthews. The talk coming out was who was the good lb cushing, matthews, or mualaga (sp?). JJ Watt however is a different story. I know at 3 people would have gone insane but I remember watching a game against Ohio St. where he was moved all over the line and absolutely dominated. (tried to find the youtube clip and couldn't) I advocated trading down and grabbing him before the draft (although I was overjoyed with the Dareus pick). Watt was a known commodity and went #11 overall. He is a driving force behind that great Texans D but I will agree that there is much more talent surrounding him there.
  3. SJBF I think those 2 reasons are clearly what drives many. It is honestly infuriating to hear people spew wrong facts with vitriol and opinions that are purely emotion based. Some facts and knowledge would do wonders around here.........
  4. Put me in the Barkley camp as well (at least if it has to be a 1st round qb). His accuracy is excellent and I think he outplayed Luck last year. As for the USC qbs are garbage talk I'm with you on the reasons you listed. Leinhart was a big beneficiary of a team that had how many first rounders? He also had 2 amazing rbs to take the pressure off of him. Palmer was really only good his senior year and was a sort of 1 year wonder. Sanchez came out a year early and Carroll even said as much when he declared. Marinovich was a head case 'nuff said. Barkley if he slides would be a great pick for the Bills. 4 year starter 64.1 career completion % with a 7.9 ypa (some people's favorite stat) 116 tds to 48 picks. He is a victim of history to me. Watching him play I see an NFL qb.
  5. Could not agree more. The overreaction to every mistake around here is inconceivable at best. I swear people expect perfection from the players. They either are amazing or suck there is no in between to a lot of fans. Playing for the division in 2 leagues Sproles on both teams sub par game with a td being called back for a penalty. Roddy White on one of those teams and got me 3 points This is what I was driving at with my question earlier and also my above post. Fitz ain't great but he isn't the worst or even close to it. Brees had a bad game and he does have a great track record but this type of thing happens in the NFL. Players make mistakes and it is a natural part of the game. Fitz makes a mistake? End of the world he's the worst qb ever. For all of the people who stated the Titans and second Pats* loss are on Fitz because any good qb would drive down the field for the win, you were proven wrong when Brees not once but twice (3 times with the one negated) threw an int. *not saying Fitz is anywhere near the qb that Brees is.
  6. Not in the top 20 this year for drops Not in the top 10 for the last 3 years before this season. Honestly he doesn't drop the ball. Yes there are some glaring ones (Pitt game namely) but enough is enough with this tbd myth. I think sometimes people (not calling you 2 out) forget that NO player in the NFL is perfect. Every NFL receiver drops some balls. No player at any position is infallible. Drew Brees threw 5 interceptions last night! edit: how funny that a post defending Stevie is my 1300th
  7. What would this place be like if Fitz had the game brees is having right now?
  8. Yes please! Maybe Dareus could help him and vice versa. Our lbs are the weakest link and adding a former top 10 pick can't hurt
  9. ahh yes the secret ingredient in the dish he prepared. There is an interesting theory that Ben Harmon (main character from season 1) is actually Thredson and Lana's son and has continued his father's murderous ways. I'm not sure if I buy it yet but it would certainly be intriguing and a nice tie in to the last season. I'm loving this season. I think this show is very well done.
  10. You know how some people don't like USC qbs? I don't much care for Petrino qbs.
  11. Claiming Babin off waivers would put a team on the hook for the remainder of the $5.575 million he’s owed this year (approximately $1.65 million), plus $4.225 in 2013 and $6 million in 2014 and ’15. Not incredibly expensive. I'm not advocating that the Bills sign him just saying that he doesn't necessarily have a say if a team wanted to put a claim in on him.
  12. Here is mine.... I am leading the division but tied with 2 others. I play the guy I am beating in points but the guy who I'm not is playing the worst team in the league. The tie breaker? Points. I need the worst team i nthe league to beat one of the tops and also win myself to get money. My other league? Start 6-0 lose the next 4 2 of which are by less than 2 points. This week I play the leader of the division and am behind by only 1 game. Except last week he exploded for over 200 points so I can't catch him in points even if I beat him. Long story short both of my money leagues I more than likely will finish tied for the division and still not get any money :censored: :censored:
  13. This fact to me is why Dalton looks good. How many people that want Dalton have actually watched Bengal games? He throws it up to Green (no argument on how amazing he is) and benefits greatly. Dalton may or may not be better than Fitz but he certainly has a better weapon. My favorite is: if if's were fifths we'd all be drunk To the op: Mario Williams would not have signed here. He did so because he didn't want to play in a 34 and the Bills were moving to a 43.
  14. Nutmeg? I don't follow lol The little girl was creepy and I loved the kitchen convo between her and the devil. The only thing I thought is wouldn't someone connect that she killed that other little girl and her family because she gave the same exact story?
  15. from the article: Wilson has done some good things for Buffalo. The Bills have been great for this community. He kept them here when he could have moved them. It's true, but that shouldn't equate to a free pass or lowered standards. Simply having an NFL team in town isn't enough unless you're a sucker and looking for a copout. You realize you went back 48 and 20 years respectively to defend Wilson right? He wasn't overly harsh or critical in this article, see my quote above. He spoke a lot of truth. People really need to stop harping on the press that writes things like this. As painful as they are to see they are more accurate then inaccurate. All of the vitriol every time they write something negative and never a hey they got that one right. Hey he got this one right. Just because Wilson is old and been the owner forever it does not excuse the sub standard product he has delivered. Do I respect and appreciate him? You bet I do. Do I think he is to blame for many of these teams woes? You bet I do. Why is he free from criticism for you?
  16. I disagree with most of this post. Teo is good but there have been many players that offenses avoid and some even this year. It has to be manzel. His numbers are better than cam and tebows heirs man years. I think the stigma is off freshman winning or even voting for them. As for ball I would be surprised if he even gets a ny invite. This year hasn't been as good as last year. I think the invitees are Klein, teo, manzel, smith, and perhaps the USC wr woods.
  17. Is anyone still watching this? It is getting intense! who called on bloodyface's behalf? It is 50 years later it can't still be the same guy can it?!
  18. I actually do ref high school sports and in no way think that I am as good or could do as good as these pro refs. All I expect is consistency from team to team and game to game. It doesn't happen.
  19. Yes already. We shall see after the game if it was a useful or useless topic. Hopefully it's useless but I have become extremely jaded to this league being at all fair. It isn't only the bills i see getting screwed. The nfl has lost a ton of credibility with me this year.
  20. Over under for this game I'm putting at 1.5 questionable calls favoring the colts today. A loss by the colts would cool some of the golden boy talk and the nfl can't have that. I'm thinking the refs will step in an help insure a colts w. I'd love to be wrong but the nfl refereeing has been terrible and terribly suspect this year. So I'll take the over what say you?
