  1. I like Lemon. Marcus Sales is okay but I was hoping for better.
  2. My ideal would actually be to take that pick at #8 and use it on a stud (Jones, T'eo, etc..). Then trade up into the top of 2nd back end of 1st for Nassib. He is a prospect that needs to be drafted correctly not a Ponder/Locker type reach imo, if someone else wants to reach for him then let them.
  3. hmmm I'll have to find which thread I mentioned this but I agree that he has a certain Trentish quality. The issue for me is - is it the good or bad Trent? That said he grew on me a lot over this year. At the start of the year I thought he was garbage but by the louisville game (highlights that I posted) I was converted into thinking maybe a 3rd round pick. After the Louisville game it was late first early 2nd. He throws darts around and familiarity with Marrone's offense raises my intrigue even more. Still don't want him at 8 but I wouldn't mind a trade down/trade up scenario to nab him. edit: found it! Link or it didn't happen... post #25
  4. I think he looked even better in this game... It was against Louisville who was #9 at the time and iirc undefeated.
  5. Great link thanks! My favorite part: One day during the second week of spring practice, Marrone, as he occasionally does, broke away with the offensive tackles for individual drills. He paired the tackles up and watched intently as they hit one another. After almost every repetition, Marrone grabbed a player. ‘Get pissed off and kick his ass,’ Marrone shouted to junior Tucker Baumbach. And minutes later, when nothing changed: ‘Don’t over evaluate it. He wants to kick your ass and you want to kick his ass.’ Junior tackle Jonathan Meldrum said the linemen have never had the hands-on approach of Marrone here at Syracuse. And when Marrone needs to be heard, Meldrum said, he makes sure everyone hears him clearly. ‘Coach Marrone is a very…I wouldn’t say intimidating man, but he has a great presence about him,’ Meldrum said. ‘When he’s around, he just grabs your attention. There’s no messing around. Whenever he talks, he grabs every part of you.’
  6. Boise st has been a slow build to power. Much like the track that Marrone had Su on. Their facilities are terrible. Boise states aren't. As for how well Louisville has fared - first location location location, second why don't you check out marrones record against Louisville the last few years.
  7. So it's a horrible hire if he gets the bills to the playoffs? The Super Bowl? Get a grip. He was arguably the top candidate this year but certainly a top 5 one. Given that there were 7 jobs the bills did well with this hire. Have you ever even watched a game he coached? As for those saying he rescued a Su team that was dead in the water you couldn't be more correct. Syracuse is not a hot bed destination for top recruits. The weather, city, and facilities all play a role in that (sound familiar?). He has proven he can do more with less and has returned a joke program to respectability (exactly what is needed here) So in conclusion; he has proven successful under less than ideal conditions, is well respected and highly regarded in nfl circles, and has nfl and hc experience. Boo freakin hoo.
  8. 21 years of coaching experience: experienced coach check 7 years nfl experience: nfl contacts check Turnaround of a woe be gone program check Affinity for upstate ny: check Not a retread/proven failure check
  9. Ill call it now Jennings to the dolphins and his old oc philbin
  10. Your ignorance and intolerance shine through so brightly here. You got mad at something that you didn't see but the reporting of it is enough to make you upset?! Add in the "almost knocked a guy's block off for making out with his gf on New Year's Eve and methinks you may have a bit of an anger problem. As for a man wearing a speedo being offensive - wtf? seriously how in the world is that offensive? Is it because you like to see women in bikinis that makes it okay but your homophobia (and make no mistake about it this is homophobia at it's finest/worst) makes speedo's offensive? I hope this thread is a joke or else my opinion of you has taken a serious nose dive. Your 5 year old is awake at midnight on New Year's Eve and it is other people's responsibility to make sure no difficult situation arises from that? Alcohol, drugs, sexuality, etc are all things that can and will happen that night but homosexuality is the thing you don't want to have to explain to a 5 year old? Wow. As for explaining a man and woman kissing being easy what is your answer? Procreation and baby making? Or is that they love each other because that would explain a male on male or female on female kiss (quite easily I might add).
  11. I know dammit I thought we got rid of you!!!
  12. I was at the Cuse game on Monday and happened to get a chance to chat really quick with Doug Marrone. I asked if he and Nassib were going to come to Buffalo and fix them. He smiled and said "is that where he's going?" I tried pumping him for info but it was to no avail. Anyways for those that want to see what the fuss is all about I present Nassib vs. #9 Louisville (who just beat up on Florida). Watch him throw darts all over the field and get hopeful that he is the qb next year.
  13. check out last post wins on off the wall. It is the most obnoxious, raise your post count, post meaningless drivel thread ever.
  14. Thank you both! It drives me insane that "Buddy should have seen" what every other team in the NFL didn't! Say what you want about the Seahawks even - he was a 3rd round pick passed on by every team multiple times! The seahawks got lucky plain and simple. It is not an indictment of Buddy in the least.
  15. All year they start out slow and then bang! Up by 15! Great game and a good statement to make to the Big East. I was at the game so I don't know his name but #5 from Rutgers was on fire to begin the game and I had visions of Temple all over again. Luckily that wasn't the case. MCW had a bit of a gunner attitude at the beginning of the game and I actually liked that he was trying to exert some dominance. Absolutely love Grant on the floor and Christmas I thought played well. This was a game to me that the length really played a factor. Christmas and Keita were very active on defense and it was great to see.
  16. 2.15 million is peanuts for a locker room leader and backup running back. There are many other players I can think of that could/should be cut before Freddy.
  17. Yeah I agree and have said as much I just don't see it this year. Side note though ill be sitting court side for today's game! Can't wait! Bills game yesterday cuse game today total ticket cost = 0$
  18. Is it me or did Powell do a pretty good job? I can think of a few shanks but I can also think of many pinned inside the 20 punts as well as a noticeable move to directional/out of bounds kicking.
  19. It could be something as simple as hey do you think you're brother would be interested in coming here if we had an opening?
  20. No argument here I figure its a win win for me. They win and I'm happy I was here they lose and I know it's the best thing for them.
